  1. its a concrete ring with pvc pipes seems very deep could prob do with a clean too, getting anything done at a good price hard in phuket

OP, how deep is your well? Is it a simple concrete rings well or a PVC pipe deep well?

Solution suggested by Hansgruber is interesting, and besides that you could deepen the well, or make a new well which is deeper.

  2. cheers I will look into it, just been using water freely for months just thought it filled itself up when raining and a top up maybe needed in dry season, not noticed it being so low before.

  3. What iptv box are you trying to use?

I am going to use my now tv box from the uk, wi-fi connection only, I want the easiest option so think maybe it sounds like another router, not sure how much trouble all traffic being routed will be for me. I tried that public Wi-Fi hotspot for windows, it worked fine till I started my vpn so there is some configuration which I did not understand with cyberghost.

The problem is how to give the iptv box geo-relocation option (since it can't be done in-box).

    There are several possible options:

Use special DNS entries on your 3BB Router. A forum dedicated to your 'box' should say if this is possible.

Hang a VPN WiFi subservice unit on your current 3BB LAN. Then connect to this WiFi when a device needs geo-relocation.

Replace the current router with a firmware flashable VPN option, or

Bridge the current 3BB router to a second firmware flashed VPN-WiFi router. Downside, usually ALL traffic is routed though the VPN when enabled.

Build your own VPN device using a cheap development board (eg: Raspberry Pi) [similar to Hang a VPN WiFi subservice, except you build it]

  4. If you pick up a DD-WRT enabled router, your VPN provider should have instructions on how to configure it.

Then you should be able to connect that through your 3BB router and the IP it gives you will be from the remote network.

To which VPN service do you subscribe?

at the moment I use CyberGhost but this service is up next month so free to sign another year or look at another service, I will have to go shopping is dd wrt routers easy to find in bkk (probably (pantip) do you have any models or prices?

when you say connect to my 3bb router do you mean by cable?

  5. I have been reading but not getting very far can someone either point me to further reading or tell me what I need, I want to use vpn to access uk services, I have my now tv box with me too whch connects via wi fi.

it seems easy for me to get the service to work via my laptop but I want other device to be able to use the service, it seems this router cannot be flashed with this dd wrt, is my best and easiest option to buy another router if so which one, I also read about buying another router but continue to use the 3bb they connect together?

    Thanks

  6. Thanks I will have a look at Walen website again, the reason I am not bothered too much where on the island the schools are based is because I have not decided on where I will be located, still in the UK, I also know its better to have taster lessons at different schools but I wanted to sort out here, so rather than pick any school I thought I would ask, maybe there is little difference in the schools, I would prefer to attend & learn at least for the 1st year :), I do understand there is great misuse of the visa.

  7. I asked a question in another forum without much luck, can anyone advise on which schools are regarded as good for learning Thai with and just happen to offer ed visa, does not matter where on the island they are based & I understand some teach different methods, it seems Patong school has a good rep, thats all I have been able to find out.

    thanks

  8. Hello, I have read a little about schools teaching differently and that its good if you can go and take a sample lesson before signing up. I am not in that postion, I wanted to choose my school pay half the fees etc so they can get my ed visa, I would like to know which schools are regarded as decent schools for learning which just happen to offer ed visa service in Phuket. I have looked at 6 websites of schools but tbh cannot really tell much, patong seems a decent website but I was not planning on that location more central.

I am 40 years old, uk, not been great with learning lanuages in the past, want to be able to speak a little to get by, reading not so important but would like to understand numbers etc which can help me with shopping.

    Thanks
