Thai's tolerate it, in fact i think they feel somewhat safe around noise.
Get used to it, no laws gonna help you here.
Earplugs or move.
I agree with u, they love noise, in the morning around 6/7 am, there is village announcement; at night there is karaoke!
-
May be they know I wrote to Thai visa, now they just stopped! (12:10am). They are really inconsiderate! Tomorrow is Monday!

7-Eleven? What about Privacy and security? Online, email and fax sounds better to me!

Just wonder is there any noise control law in Thailand? My neighbour which is a few houses next to us is still having a karaoke party very loud until mid night! It is not the first time! Why no body complain! Such a nuisance!

Budget at Krabi airport (if you are coming back to Krabi). About 1,500 baht a day for a small car - maybe less on a week's hire. Good company with well kept modern fleet and they don't rip you off if you have a minor accident. They delivered the car to my hotel in Krabi for free on only a 3 day hire as well.
Just my experience of using them in Thailand over 6 years. No connections or axes to grind.
Thx SantiSuk,
Yes, I will come back to Krabi. I plan to pick up the car from airport if the hotel doesn't provide transfer. How much did you pay for 3 days then? What type of small car did you use? Did you book it in advance?
Thanks very much.

Just found mistake in my previous post.....continue
When we interviewed that Thai helper she said ok with everything, but ended up she couldn't do many things and always can't remember some simply stuff. Once I just away for 1.5 hour and she had to feed my child lunch, when I returned founded out she didn't feed her at all, just simply said "she didn't want to eat!" Finally we fired her, and we found out from another helper that she took my child's expensive food which she is not supposed to eat. (We provided sufficient food for her separately)
I had experience in a country where has good domestic helper employment protection law, I often hear the protection law was abused by the helpers and used for taking advantage from the employer. I hired one Filipino helper when I was pregnant, we gave her flight tickets to visit home during Xmas as a gift and she got pregnant in return as a gift for us, then she became lazy and always talked over phone even when taking care of my older kid. Always came home late from holiday because of party all the times. Housework obviously were not done well ......we couldn't fired her due to the law.....as an employer we wanted to pay for someone who is trust worthy and to help us to do the job scope that we need.....imagine a boss in any companies also can't accept such an employee's attitudes.
Needless to say a lot of helper's integrity and honesty were bad from the news.
The OP just worries about these kind of situations I believe.

As a victim I totally understand OP's point. As a parent, we don't want to leave our child/baby who has no responsibility. Accident rate will def increase if they are talking over the phone and taking care the child at the same time.
I think wising an employee not talking over the phone while working is not too demanding; do you wish the doctor who is consulting you talk over the phone?
I recently hired a Thai helper with 12000B per month incl. agent fee, that

I want to know too, I thought central festival is the first ice rink in CM? May be I am wrong?I was actually surprised at how many thais could actually stand up on the ice when i went by the mall the other day.
-
They should have a separate family area for kids with parents for those who would like a safe
-
Agree! It's totally open but for a few shops (the ice rink is not ready yet).
But one question: What is the deal with all these Japanese restaurants? Eight of 10 food places there are Japanese. I don't get it.

I think you are partly right. I asked the sales at Rimping, they don't sell S'Pure chicken, that is Betagro chicken, which is what you mentioned about no hormones .....etc. Don't be misled by the label on the shelf. they sell both S'Pure and Betagro pork though. The sales said S'Pure is closer to Organic, that's why it's pork is more expensive.Rimping carries "S Pure" brand chicken and pork which is a Betagro product. It appears to be organic, at least in part. They advertise no hormones, no antibiotics, etc but the labeling is all Thai and I can't read too good. Be interested to know more about this brand.
I am also looking for S'Pure chicken too!

They also not place the sushi in a cold cabinet/fridge, leaving the sushi exposed in the hot air for half a day or even a day. I wonder why there is no food provisioning cases.
Interestingly to know, sometimes my in law would put the leftover food in the pot overnight in the kitchen, then eat it on the next day after heating up. They never complain of stomach upset!

Have you tried Christianity? God can heal you. Go to a church nearby and speak to the Pastor about it for help.
