You can try this:
Go into the task manager, where you can choose to display or hide several links (e.g. Pictures, Music, etc.) in the start menu.
Afaik there is an option to link the search/command-bar to files and folders. It should be enabled.
Hope it helps!

If you study at a university, you can get 1 year extensions. You need proper documents from your university for that.
Afaik you can't extend your "ED" visa forever, only for the duration of your studies or up to 3 years. But rules might have been changed.

The new LeapMotion controller for PC and Mac has come out in the US and Europe recently. A very interesting device.
It is a 'mouse-like' input device with sensors that can read all your fingers in 3D space.
I wonder whether it has found its way to Thailand or not. Does anyone know places in BKK or elsewhere that sell it? Or maybe its available online?
Thx for any help!

I can recommend Payap University in Chiang Mai. I studied there ca. 6 years ago and finished P.6 level.
They offer full-time courses, with 6 weeks each level (P.1-P.6) I studied Mon-Fri 5 hours each day.
I was provided with a Non-Immigrant "B" for 2 years, although I've completed the P.6 level after 18 months. I didn't even had to leave Thailand for the application, it was handled in BKK.
At my time, the fee per level was 13,600 Baht.
We were between 6 and 15 students. That course included reading and writing as well.
My teachers were very competent.
Their English skills were poor, after 2 months my Thai was already better than their English.
It was a great experience, with lots of fun and challenges.
Hope it helps

A good cooking school not on this list is:
We Cook - Thai Home Garden Cooking School.
It's located a bit outside of town, at Ban San Sai Noi, on the way to Doi Saket.
It just opened last year and isn't very well known. But it was a very nice experience. The educational factor was very high, maybe because they keep the classes small.
They have a Facebook page with comments on it.
