Why do you believe you were treated badly because you were a farang? Thai security guards show what little authority they have with Thais, too. Don't make it a farang v. Thai thing, when it isn't necessarily the case. There's enough hatred out there as it is without fanning the flames.

Not at all. I have many friends who are law-respecting foreigners. I am a smoke-a-phobic, though.

Please report all restaurants, whether catering to foreigner or not. My list so far is 90% foreign owned.

You don't own this website. You're not even a moderator, so who cares about you?

I post here because most of the violators are restaurants that cater to foreigners. And many DO care, so what's it to you if they complain? If you don't like it you find another country.

I'm working on a list of restaurants that illegally permit smoking, which I plan to present to the Minister of Health in the next couple weeks. If anyone would like to add to the list, please post information here or send it to me by PM, for inclusion.

I am not interested in getting into a secondhand smoke argument. The law is the law, and if you don't like it, you can go to a country where smoking is still allowed in restaurants.
