  1. If there was ever any doubt in my mind, that the objective of makeing LOS my home ,this is one(article 16 ) of many reasons when added together with others, ensure me that I was correct.

What was your reasoning, for what is after all a momentus decision to make, in deciding LOS is for you? :o

(I apologise for not cut/pasteing it ,but my computer skills are not up to much)

  2. right now iam unfortunately reloading the bahtZ in canada,  return to the kingdom.. sept, hey in other news.. i was supposed to get reconstructive ACL surgery today and it got cancelled because i drank a cup of coffee in the morning, like what in the ###### ?  Anyone know of good orthoscopic specialists in Phuket?

If your are in Canada why is your local time LOS time? :o

  3. Sitting at one of the bars on the cut through between soi7 and soi8 (second road end )Pattaya with my friend Martin .

A bg start chatting to him "where you from?English?"

"No" says Martin "Isle of Man"

"ok"says bg ,and goes away five minutse later she returns with a hansome if somewhat effeminate male she introduces Martin to him with the immortal words

    "he love man"

Never laughed so much and she could not understand why which made it worse.

Martin came from Douglas there after . :o

  4. Iuse these just cost £340+59 tax .that is with Thai Airways but they do Eva as well I beleive. :D

(just hit their site again it's still on offer )

That £340 + tax fare looks like it's one way? + £40 for round-trip? Unless I'm missing something, seems an unusual way to lay out the fares.

Shame I missed the Eva Evergreen Deluxe + Thai connection to Chiang Mai offer for £575 - unless that's one way as well? :o

My last return was £358! don't suppose I'll get that again(all in ).Going to pick up tickets tomorrow will post again to confirm .

I understood that to be return (the Eva- Chiang Mai offer)

  5. TizMe is good ,coz if it wozn't him, it must be becoz TizYou.

                         :o  :D  :D

I tend to get called toaster rather than tosser... :D

    totster :D

As a CPS lawyer once said "he who jumps to assumptions may sometimes be deemed to of acted like an ass.I have to stand here in front of your worships as that person" (I've been dieing to use that)

I would never dream of such a misspelling :D I'm hurt :D Nay deeply hurt.

  6. From Pattaya City News 3 June 2005
Drunken Tourist attacks Police Officer on Pattaya Beach.

We are about to show why fighting a Police Officer is not a clever thing to do here in Thailand. At around 3am on Friday morning, Police Sergeant Manoo from Pattaya’s Traffic Police Division noticed a couple arguing on the beach. He approached them and ordered them to calm down, it was at this point that Mr. Robert Thompson aged 44 from Northern Ireland decided that the argument was none of the police officer’s business and pushed him away. A scuffle between the tourist and police officer ensued and according to the Officers account, the Irish man went to grab the officer’s gun. The altercation continued as both fighters fell to the ground. The officer’s gun was at this point on the pavement. Eventually motorbike taxi-drivers and police volunteers turned up and restrained the drunken tourist who sustained facial injuries during the attack. Mr. Thompson was taken to Pattaya Police Station and placed behind bars, however we are led to understand that the matter was cleared between both parties and no charges were brought against the alleged attacker.

So how much do you rekon this joker had to donate before it was cleared between both parties. :D

Now he knows what donating to the cause means in Thailand. :o

  7. whers pvtdick when he is needed?, probably booking someone for wearing a "noke" shirt  :o

strange one this, I suppose it will come out sooner than later of what has happened.... Cambodia is a little less civi than here Im afraid.

I knew a guy who was found on the road in 6 plastic bags - torso, arm, arm. leg, leg, head. True story!

    Todays Sunday Times

Looks like what many of us thought may of happened did.Shame, hope the article is shown to be false and he turns up anyway ok

  8. Assuming his story is real, it would seem to make sense that the British Consul in Chiang Mai would already be on top of it.. .. And, yeah, what of his 'friends'? Some of these pieces don't quite fit together, maybe...

THAI has no responsibility for doing anything for him, it seems from this report. No money, no ticket. It's not THAI's fault, it sounds like, even if the guy did try to blame them.... To me, it sounds like they were actually compassionate and caring.

Who knows what the full story is...

If, he was being shipped home by the insurance company ,why was he traveling with friends.A family member of mine was shipped home once (walking wounded also) but the insurance company still had their medico rep accompany her,it is policy in medical repatriations she was told to cover themselves .

  9. Why do you consider this :D ?

If the thread I posted on the Pattaya forum was spam this must surely be also.Have a look

    or am I mistaken :D

Fair play i am now confused i wouldnt consider your post spam it was just an article maybe the moderators could explain why that was considered spam. Maybe when one of the moderators reads this they will consider it as spam as well

Maybe, IF I knew how to contact them ,other than PM,I would ask what forum rule it broke? :blink:Need a :D or two!

  10. I got a parking ticket yesterday in Khon Kaen. As usual I gave it to my wife who then gave it to her brother, who owns a night club in town(ABS Version 2). He will now give it to his 'friend' in the police. In the past, I have not been asked for money for any offenses, but this time he asked for 200 baht. Asking them how much the ticket actually was, I got a mixed response of 700 baht and 1000. I thought it would only be 500. Maybe my wife paid the 200 baht before(she says she didn't), as often the offenses were her fault(the police are all having lunch, here is ok to park etc). Maybe the fines vary, I don't know.

Not a very civic attitude to take ,park properly and no grief ensues :o .

    Maybe.

  11. Not to have to return to UK every so often, but to do so if I want to

To make my mind up on that new house.(or not)

    To finalise the new business

Good luck to everybody on their goals. :o

(and to know how to get an explanation from a Mod)
