  1. Beautiful place, the wife and I have spent some time there. Great photos BTW. It's been a couple of years since we last went there so it's good to see that the place is still not overdeveloped.

    I know this area is a park, why should remain fairly intact over time .....thumbsup.gif

  2. Well I think we can safely say Khanom is now on the map!.... I know there are a couple of other members in the general area... perhaps they will have more to add!

    I was waiting for ASTX to add his, knowing he had just been there! thumbsup.gif

    Penny just dropped on Tywais's comment about sweets! facepalm.giftongue.png

    One of several places to stay in the area!

    (these I have posted in the Southern Thailand forum, which sadly is not a well read part of TV.... )sad.png

    I stayed only one night in this hotel and then I ran away: awful and expensive!
    Better to continue south, there are small resort very nice and not expensive. This is the best: thumbsup.gif

  3. Few people know this place yet it is only thirty kilometers from Don sak. I will publish the photos of the surroundings, a small report for nature lovers.

    Hi , I was in Khanom a few days ago to visit one of my brother in law who is working in the new electric mill which is building by a thai-japanese consortium ;

    another face of Khanom , maybe some of us will prefer Pattaya cheesy.gif ( my joke );

    There are many resorts and sea food restaurants in Khanom

    Unbelievable, people normally seek wild places where there are too many cities and industries and you have done the opposite! w00t.gif
    Anyway thanks for the contribution .......wai2.gif
  4. Lovely shots and area Blackmartin .... and welcome! thumbsup.gif ...... but you'd be better off posting in beaches or other suitable topics, or will get lost very quicklysad.png

    I cannot imagine Pattaya ever looking like that! Tywais! biggrin.png not that I have ever been there or ever want to go there.....whistling.gifw00t.gif

    I've only spent a few hours around Khanom, but it's one of those places so close yet so far from Samui/ Donsak, that one thinks ...."oh I'll do it next time....." of course one never does!!!! facepalm.gif

    Actually, the ideal would be to have a report section in the forum but I have not seen. wink.png As I mentioned before are not only beaches, here is a boat trip to see the pink dolphins and the islets in front of the fishing village where you can rent a boat typical local (longtail):

  5. Have to admit I thought this topic was going to be photos of candy and sweets. biggrin.png

    Very nice photos and looks like a great place to visit. Reminds me a little of Pattaya in the late '60s, pristine.

    We do not confuse the sacred with the profane .....tongue.png
