I had the same issue some time ago with account registered with Pink ID. I found two options 1. select another category for the purpose of transfer 2.I have another account in a different bank I used passport number for registration. I use that one to transfer funds abroad.

I am considering a job with APAC scope with a foreign company without any presence in Thailand. No need for a visa as I am permanent resident here. How might the authorities view this in terms of WP and tax requirements?

it’s seems the authorities are going ahead to implement by June the much discussed tourism tax of 300 THB for arrival by airplane (lower fees for arrival by sea and land) details on how this’ll be collected have been conspicuously absent. with regards to who will be exempt of paying this :Thai nationals, foreigners with diplomatic passports and those holding Thai work permits. Automatic immigration gates for PR holders at BKK airport I have been told that at Suvarnnabhumi Airport the automatic passport check gates are now in service again for Thai nationals. Previously PR holders were able to register to also use them. Any one knows if this possible again and what is required to do so?

Did you encounter any pushback , ignorance from the banks.? for me k bank was utterly at a loss when I presented Pink ID. They insisted on passport as official document UOB was the only bank that accepted PInk ID number a local as reference when I got a mortgage to buy a condo from them.

I have German passport and PR for more than 6 years. Is there anyone out there who has first hand experience with getting Thai nationality and NOT relinquishing German passport?

At arrival there are automatic gates for Thai nationals. PR holders can go through the manned counters on the far right side in the section for Thai passports..So far no queues here. on departure I have been going through the Priority Fast track close to TG business class check in counters showing my reentry permit stamp in the passport. Staff usually don’t know what it is but let me through. interested to hear other’s experiences…
