I wonder why there are no pictures of the 3 perps together with the police chiefs. They always issue photos with the perps even if it is a case of a bag snatch or nightclub argument. Could it be that after the "intense interogation" the Burmese have changed their color to blue?

If my memory serves me correctly these three with the guitar have been DNAed on the very first day after the murder amd pronounced innocent. What happened now??? Do I smell a deal??

They have never produced a TABLET either, but they got a contract for 800 000!!!Yes Yingluck, how much was the down payment paid to Shenzhen Yitao Intelligent Control before the closed down? Yes correct, THB 800,000,000. And where is that money know? I think we know the answer.
They never closed down!

This is one of the worst policies I've ever heard of, even without any corruption or incompetence. The tablets will never work. Each classroom will need three IT technicians running around trying to keep the tablets connected to the internet and not crash. Stuff like this you need to wait for generation 27 before its reliable in a situation like a classroom full of kids.
How can a government place an order for 800 000 tablets with a company that never produced a tablet before??? Just google the company - they are in the home appliances electronics - smart coffee pots, etc.

Snowden has been and still is an FSB recruit. The only way FSB could stop or at least curtail the NSA world spying was to present it to the media in an acceptable and thrustworthy way. So they arranged Snowden's "escape" in a way that it looked plausible to the world - first Hong Kong then Russia. Snowden has done his job as a spy. He now lives a good life in Russia. He will soon be relocated at some exotic country with a new identity to happily spend his money paid by Russia. Spying is a business, anyway.

When the first press-releases came out, about this new Marina, it clearly stated that there would be ample accommodation for 'visiting yachts' hence opening-up a new little industry. Nobody anyone has talked to seems to know anything about the purpose of this marina.
One of these days I will meet-up with Pattaya's Mayor (Khun Ittipong) and I will ask him if he knows what the story is. If/When I find out I will post my findings on this forum.
Keep your fingers X-ed.
ask him what that eyesore of a carpark is for as well if you get the chance
So neither marina nor even the car park open yet? Anyone been there recently?
-
One of the problems is the speed boats are wood. You can't leave them in the water. So, from what I understand, they will never be left in the marina overnight.
No problem for the boats, the wood is painted with special protective paint. Nowadays also most of the speedboats are plastic fiber coated. They cannot be left on the street which will hopefully be the upscale part of Walking street as the investors of the highrise condo Waterfront claim in their website.

From background of pcs of the PM visit it seems the boats are already moored in the new marina. Anyone to confirm?
-
Saw some pics of the PM visiting Pattaya and it looked (on the background) that the boats are already moored IN the new marina. Can someone confirm this? No longer boats along the street?
-
So, the boats are still along the street with all dirt, fuel smell, stray dogs, etc...

So after 1 1/2 month what is the situation today? Anyone been to the marina recently? Chances to open for new year? The "huge and ugly green building" is supposed to be an automated multi-level car park. One of these places where an elevator moves your car into the correct slot. It seemed to be finished several months ago but since then I have seen nothing much happen to it.
I drove past the marina earlier today and there were people fitting street lamps on the structure, presumably to assist people walking to/from boats at night. So maybe it will indeed be open before the end of the year.

Thanks for the onfo. From what is being said here it looks like marina will not be finished by yearend...The structural part of the new marina appears to be finished though there are no obvious walkways or moorings that I noticed with my totally non-nautical eyes. The car park/waterfront area is still full of boats, dogs, tractors, crap etc., and there is now a half-built condo to add to the confusion.
Too bad. Have they run out of money? Why the Waterfront developers said marina is to open in Q4 of 2013?
-
Hi, we've been coming to Pattaya every year now for seven years staying Dec thru Feb on Pratumnak hill. What is the current status of the marina construction? Is it due to finally open by end of 2013 as said? Are the boats still along the waterfront with all oil leaks and smells and stray dogs?
