After his father gets his extension of stay he can apply for a 90 day non immigrant visa (category O) entry at immigration. Then the extension based upon his fathers extension during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from the visa.
Do you mean that after the father got his extension of stay for 1 Year. The son can apply for a 90 day non immigration (category O) at immigration (chaengwattana)? Then he can have an extension based on the father's extension? -

In that case it is a maximum age of 20.
But that is really the maximum age for applying for a extension as a family member if person working here.
For a non-o visa there is actually no age limit mentioned in the guidelines for a non-o visa.
They were really shocked that the son was not granted the visa, with the reason of the embassy in Vientiane was "His age is more than 17 years old already", and they gave him a tourist visa instead.
Never heard of this case before. -

There is no age limit to apply for a non-o visa based upon being the parent of a Thai.
It seems the were incorrectly using one of the different ages of maturity for Thais that is 18. The age of 20 is the next one.
Both parents are Non-Thai.
The husband is currently holding a Non-B Visa with a work permit. The spouse was granted the Non-O dependent, but the son was denied, with the reason that the son is more than 17 years old already.

Hi,
So I know a couple of folks who applied for a NON-O Dependent Visa for their child at Vientiane. They have been doing this for years now. However, unexpectedly the Royal Thai Embassy at Vientiane rejected the application for NON-O dependent with the reason that the child is more than 17 years old now. (He is 18 years old). Prior information is that, NON-O dependent is applicable for 20 years and below.
Is this a new rule, any news or source about this being implemented?
Thank you -

You can get a re-entry permit 24 hours a day at Don Muang airport on departure from the country.
The desk is after the departure immigration desks.
You will need a completed TM8 form with a 4 X 6 cemp photo attached, copy of passport photo page visa, entry stamp and TM6 card.
Will it be possible if I fill up the form there? I am currently in transit right now and I have no capacity to print out any form at the moment nor photocopy my docs. @ubonjoe

Hi,
I urgently have to leave the country tomorrow morning at 5am, and I will be flying from DMK Airport.
Can I apply for re-entry at DMK during those hours around 4:00AM?
May I know where can I apply for the re-entry and what are the requirements?
Thank you -

The problem is that your extension of stay ended on your last day of work. If you continued to stay in Thailand after that you were technically on overstay.
You should try to get a letter from your previous employer which states that your job ended on the day at which you left the country, then immigration will be happy
I left the country on the last day of my work. Hence, no overstay.
In this case in order to cancel my old visa/extension, all I need is the letter from my previous employer and stating my last day? Should it be in Thai or English? Any other document needed?
Thanks -
Yes, I had a work permit. However it wasn't cancelled, and just left to be expired.
So after the last day of WP and my extension of stay, I just flew out of the country, and returned back with the 30 days stamp on arrival.

Hi,
So, I recently got a new NON-B Visa from my new employer, and when I was about to apply for extension of stay at the Immigration Office, the Immigration Officer won't stamp me the extension of stay for my new Non-B Visa. Saying that, I was not able to cancel the visa/extension of stay from my previous company.
Can I ask any help on how can I cancel the visa/extension of stay of my previous company? What documents do I need to bring?
Thank you

I'm going for a non-B visa soon, did you manage to get yours?
Were there any problems?
Hi I got it with no problem. Just submitted the documents required from the checklist.
Just make sure you do the online appointment before going there. -
Hi @ubonjoe,
I am going the KL to process my Non-B Visa on Monday.
I have all documents ready as per the check list required. (http://www.thaiembassy.org/kualalumpur/contents/images/text_editor/files/5_1 Non Immigrant B Employment(1).pdf)
Have you heard any case that the visa application was rejected even though the the required documents from the check list are complete?, and would they request any documents that are not in the check list?
Thanks -

1. Their checklist only states the latest balance sheet.
2. The BOI letter is all you need.
Hi @ubonjoe,
What I meant was that, my employer has no balance sheet at the moment. Company just was just recently registered. Will there be any issue for this?
Also, do you happen to have a sample draft/format of the letter for the thai embassy from the employer requesting to grant the Non-B visa?
Thanks -
@ubonjoe your feedback is appreciated

Got it, Thanks!
Last questions;1. Is it possible to get a Non-B visa on a brand new company - i.e. no balance sheet from the previous year? (Company is BOI)
2. No letter of approval from ministry of labour (wp3), but I only have the Letter from the Board of Investment of Thailand.
Will this be an issue?
Thank you -
Thanks @ubonjoe!
Also, what is "Job Offer Letter?" is that my employment contract?
Thank you -
Hi,
I am going to apply for Non-B Visa at Malaysia. I have all the documents ready now.
However, I am a bit confuse on the visa application form ( https://bit.ly/2Yt3GwT ). May I ask any suggestion or help here?
1. Occupation - Can I leave this blank? since I am not employed at the moment, and I am getting the Non-B Visa for the purpose of employment.2. Current Address - I've been staying in Thailand for several years now. Should my current address be my Thailand address or my home country address?
3. Countries for which Travel documents is valid - What is this exaclty? Should I write "All countries"?4. Name and Address of Local Guarantor & Name and Address of Guarantor in Thailand - What difference does these 2 have? Can I put my company as the guarantor for both?
Appreciate any help and clarification.
Thanks

Hi Ubonjoe,
Thank you. I will try to cancel it by myself first then.
After the cancellation, am I obliged to go to the Immigration office to cancel my extension of stay as well? -
Can anyone confirm if I can cancel my work permit by myself or I need my employer to be with me.

Are there any forms and documents that I need?
I read in some posts on the web that in order to cancel the work permit. I need the letter from my employer that it is my last day and I must go to the labor department with our HR?
Can anyone confirm this? -
Hi,
May I know what is the Work Permit Cancellation process?
I've searched about it and found so many answers.
Anyone can let me know what is the up to date process?
Can I cancel it by myself or I need an employee from my company to cancel it with me?
I understand that after my work permit is cancelled, I must go to the immigration and cancel the extension of stay, and I will be given until midnight until I leave the country or pay 1,900THB for 7 days extension.
If possible, can you let me know which forms I would need to cancel the work permit as well?
Thanks -
Hi,
So I have a problem.
I missed my 90 days reporting. I am supposed to report it since April 14.I just realized that I lost the yellow paper, and I totally forgot about it.
What can I do now? How much fine do I pay?
Thank you

The thing is for the past few weeks, every time i connect on any overseas servers specially USA or UK i get this horrible latency (around 500 - 600) but the usual i get is 200 - 230 latency.
What i've noticed is that everytime on this ip 125.27.239.XX gateway or node or whatever , that is the only time i get the horrible latency.
However if i am not on that ip i stated above my latency is usually on normal (200 - 230)
The problem is i tried changing my ip has no luck at all.
Resetting the router or leaving it for more than 8hours wont work at all. or even trying to reset my router within the time the dhcp lease time expires.
I even called the service centre -(1100) and the lady operator said that they cannot change my ip.
Any suggestions?
Im pretty sure im on dynamic ip , i have 12mbp plan , connection within Thailand is smooth around (30 - 50 latency)
