  1. Why don't you send your junkie convict a package instead. Then she can't buy drugs.

so you want to hang her, grow up and realise everybody cannot be as perfect as you.

  2. OK another question, which hope someone can help with. I returned to Thailand by air on 21-04-2014 without a visa, after spending 3 months working in Belgium and travel on a UK passport. I came back on a one way ticket as normal as due to the freelance work i do, i am never sure if i want to stay a week or two months. So i was outside Thailand for 3 months can i do 1 land crossing or not? If not and i fly out without any overstay how soon can i come back and get 30 days on arrival. Before people start to say go home and get a visa, i am expecting to leave in approx 3 weeks for work. Not sure if a problem but i have a number of tourist visas and Mae Sai border crossings in my passport.

Hope someone can give a clear answer to my questions.

  3. There is a thai food hall which we locals call mamas in Nong Hoi which is open 24 hrs. The place is on Lamphun Road about five doors down from the entrance to Riverside condo on the same side of the road. Football is very popular here with thais and packed on a regular basis for EPL games. There is a large ex-pat community in the area and i would be very surprised if the place is not busy for all games, not just England.

They only serve local beer, but have no objection to you bringing in anything they do not sell, as long as you order mixers, a snack or ice etc.

With games kicking of between 1700 and 2100 local time, I'd say there would be hardly anywhere showing them live.

Time difference between Bangkok, Thailand and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is:

    -10:0 hours

Bangkok is 10:0 hours ahead of Rio de Janeiro

  4. Having read through this thread, some of the people who have contributed, get a life. Civil war not happening.life up hear in the shin heartland is good.

Why would Yingluck not spend time up here, Chiang Mai is in Thailand. Her home town.

Why not, enjoy a few days at home Yingluck. And all you ex-pats who have nothing better to do tban criicise her sense fashion and where she travels too next. You are becoming a joke.

Bangkok is the only place that matters in a lot of peopls world.

Thailand is a lot bigger than that.

  5. Erm - Permit me to suggest that you 'hide' on the way to the airport. If you get picked up on the way things might not turn out good for you...

Clarification - You only get the chance to pay the THB500/day when you are physically inside the airport building - if you are picked up by police at any other outside location such as a roadside check point on your way to the airport, and the police discover your 1 month overstay status during a routine passport check - then you have been caught illegally residing in Thailand. That is not good...I mean really not good at all, and your life has just changed.

1 month is quite a long overstay, and will not be overlooked. - if caught outside the airport, You will likely be arrested and held in jail pending due process. After which you will be finally sent (& jailed) at the IDC (Immigration Detention Center) in Bangkok. Pending deportation at your own expense. In which case you have to hope you have friends who can bring you an air ticket, because you won't be going anywhere without it!

Do not overstay in Thailand. It is a very serious offence.

    What a total over reaction.
