  1. Hi. Is there a way to find out who is the current manager in a thai company. I gave mine away and now i want to know if the transfer of shares process is completed in the correct way. This is because i received a lettre from the soc sec office towards my former company to pay the last couple of months. I am sure my former staff is not on the companies books anymore. Kind regards.

  2. I believe my bookkeeper has absolutely no business with the reasons why my staff resigns. All i can think of is that my bookkeeper wants to call her and explain all her rights according to the Thai law towards me. Although the Law has to be respected i see no reason why i have to pay a bookkeeper that informs my staff on her rights towards me. Now the question i have is, is it normal? Because it might be a thai thing i am unaware of and it might happen to more business owners. In that case OK, its the way of the country. If not then why pay for a service that works against me.

  3. hi, she resigned by SMS. Saying she was looking for a better paid position.

She is still in my company cause of WP reasons.

The question was. Is it normal for my bookkeeper to call her and ask for the reason why she resigned?

I doubt that is a job for a bookkeeper.

    Kind regards.

My other staff is happy and i am still on speaking terms with the one that resigned.

  4. Hi,

1 of my staff resigned. Now i want to stop paying social security for her.

Is it normal my bookkeeper wants to call her and ask for the reason of resignation?

I just want her out of my company, should my bookkeeper not just get her out of my books.

I suspect my bookkeeper to inform my staff on all her rights and do not believe this is the bookkeepers job.

In the future i wish to take out all my staff at least for 1 months as to avoid a 1 year contract which would obligate me to pay an extra 3 months of pay when i fire them.

Are there any solutions for this?

    Kind regards.

  5. Hi,

I am about to close my company, starting tomorrow. I have no idea how long the process takes and i expect to pay around 40000 baht for it.

My work permit expires in 2 weeks.I am on a 1 year extension visa. Do i need to extend it during the closing period. Do i need to cancel it? Can i just let it expire? Currently I am the director of the company. Are their any pitfalls during the process? Is their a company that specializes in closures. I have a VAT and currently 10 months in business. Paying VAT for about 6 months now. What about the final tax statement?

    Any advise appreciated

  6. OK thanks, i will have a look at Home Pro. Well i hope to fix it for 10000 baht. Noice is indeed something that makes a big impact on the quality of life.

Luckily my airco masks most of the noise.

  7. i am not the owner but will stay for 2 to 3 years in this location. Moving to another place is not convenient for me. I am thinking of buying 3 to 4 panels that i can put in front of the windows every night.

I am still looking for a shop that sells that.

  8. Hi, i recently arrived in Thailand and i have a room near a busy street. I want to find a way to block the street noise. Panels, drapes? Anybody knows a shop that can help me in Bangkok?

    Friendly greets

  10. Hi,

I obtained my first non immigrant B. Is there a timeframe in which i have to enter the country? On the non B it says that it remains valid for entry for 1 year after the issuing date. I already have it for 2 months and will stay another month in my country. I will enter the country before the first 90 days from date of issuing are passed. Has this late entry any influence on the non B. Will i get questioned about my late entry in bkk airport.

    Any advice is welcome.
