I heard he's on the Pier playing Bingo. Fish n Chips on the way home.
My first ever food poisoning, thanks to Fish and Chips in Blackpool. So bad I had to be admitted to the Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester to rehydrate and I could not eat or even see fish & chips for several years 🙂

What I knew, US tourist visas used to be for 10 years unless this recently changed - if so she got it already, Embassy did approve her possibility to go to the US hence there should be no issue. Unless I am missing something.

I would imagine the up-take at weekend is more to do with locals, foreigners possibly staying for a few more days.
Also foreigners, many Asians. There are now many more bars and hotels/family hotels on the island compared to 10 years ago. I usually park at the Bali Hai pier automated parking, board the boat around 9AM, by 10 AM am on the beach then leave around 4PM to catch the 5PM boat. Parking is about 250 max 300 THB for the day, there are free parking spaces around but get filled up early and too many mobs.

Sadly, in my own Country in EU the Officer would be 1) prosecuted for attempted murder, 2) arrested for excess of self defense and 3) asked to pay millions to the burglar.

Perhaps only a Thai could sleep under the platform a few feet from passing trains.
Guess his bosses did not like him to nap, that's quite a good hiding spot..

Never seen real Lego in Mega Plaza, only Chinese fake. But many.
For a couple of months during Covid Lego had a temporary sales area at T21 - but not a shop and did not see recently.
There used to be a Lego shop at the Siam Outlet near Suvarnabhumi, also closed now.
I usually buy online (Lazada, again watch out for fakes) or in CW/Central Rama 9 or Siam Paragon.

She is Thai, it is Thai passport, no problems, it can be used until the last expiry day - she can't just stop over through customs in another Country

The "bullet in the luggage" scam was notorious at the airport in Manila, Philippines. The passenger is pressurised to pay a "fine" to avoid getting into trouble.
I wonder?
Yes, LagLag bala - I used to travel very often to Manila and was always worried about this scam. As they "found it" here the scam did not work? In Manila, after was found, the officers were asking money and after payment some of the victims revealed what happened or call their lawyers to expose it.
Does not look the same case here, may be it was planted by other people to put the guy in troubles.

Yes, you are absolutely spot on.
It feels so strange that the parent has no business to be in Thailand for a long term, but is able to piggyback on a child's education visa.
not piggy banking, will be very expensive and perfectly legal choice to stay and support kid's education

yes possible - one kid, one tutor.

If it is the first time no problems. If someone has already history of visa and/or visa runs, SG is not the friendliest as far as I remember from this forum.

Of course, it isn't unusual for taxi drivers to attack fellow taxi drivers over a passenger, said no-one anywhere outside of Thailand. As far as I know it's just a custom in the land of smiles and we read of it quite often. Although I stand to be corrected. How is the Philippines?
In the Philippines they shoot, plenty of guns on the roads

you seem to be living in a parallel thai universe, or are unlucky, or have an attitiue that attracts the negative side of people. been here over 20 years and...
never been in a piss stained taxi here or anywhere else
always been treated in a professional and efficient way by IOs, sometimes even friendly
easy to ignore hawkers at the airport, compared to other countries they are not persistent or annoying
never been in a taxi here with the meter not working
or maybe thai bashing makes you feel better about yourself.
Fully agree, my experience too, and I am in LOS since 2012

They are listening too.. days ago I was discussing with a friend which is managing a surf's company in Bangkok. I did just enquire about his job, I do not surf and have no interest in such activity, never checked anything surf related - phone was in my hand. Following day, YouTube reels prompted me surf adv first time ever. Spooking.
