In the YouTube version of this story, the next thing that happens isn't good for the guy tugging on the rope, or that roof he's under, or the guy who's perched precariously over that spiked fence.

    it's all bad but hilarious

We had four tall coconut palms in the yard taken down.  I was mainly worried about me, or the grandkids, being whopped on the noggin and by the coconuts, did have some near misses.

Quite a job, started with one of the workers scaling the palm then going over the green fronds to the top and cutting them out.  Scary looking from the ground side view. Then a rope tied on to help guide the fall when the cut was made at the base.

these thai workers have some big coconut balls of their own, or they don't understand the danger of working with a chainsaw out on a limb. amazing thailand. In australia worksafe would comdem you for this act

  3. Western news,CNN etc. often report on the latest islamabomb even if the kill number is low, I am surprised that the Thai southern gore doesn't get reported, People set on fire in publc, Young school teachers shot on motorbikes, plenty of exotic violence. There is a story there.

This is what i am trying to say we do here about a bomb in pakistan or policeman shot somewhere in the arab conflict even if it just comes up on the roling bar on bottom of tv it shows' but i have never seen anything about thailand south only in bkk , when something happens because it's out there in farangs faces

  4. Thailand south all the carnage of about 5000 people dead in ten years, i don't know for sure the figures. never here about the kaos down south. I tell people about the bombings, teachers and security forces killed. No one knows whats going on it's all about western countries and middle east on the giggle box over here in australia. Is it wet down to keep the tourist coming or no one gives a s##t.

  5. Moved to Isaan Forum.

This is NOT a Mod flame. But why move to a local forum ? Maybe someone in another area has info on this subject.

    Just wondering.

l was wondering that myself. l put on general to reach a bigger audiance. l think they like to push the button too much, after all it has nothing to do with issan.

  6. l don't know if this is the right forum anyway l have a electric spit in issan. l want to buy a 40 kilo pig and make crackle l believe just cut the skin and rub in salt & oil.l was wondering about the inside do some stuffing or baste it. my thai family have never done this so l want to make it a big treat for songran. any ideas would be of great help.

ps l have tried internet to no avail.

  8. Shame you only show interest in rich idiot drivers, an not poor drunk drivers who kill and disappear weekly of the Radar. Pure Envy. Why not ask how the Victims are today.

if he gets his due then that will be justice for the victims. You know maybe the op cares enough to want to know if this little shit goes to the monkey house or not. you are too quick to judge the op "ace of pop"

  9. Pattaya and jumpers..........well.........Pattaya is well known for its spectacular view and since the one and only viewpoint is blocked by a new high-rise people have to find another "view-point"

Once up on the roof the view is so desillusional that there is just one thing left to do...........rolleyes.gif

I have no idea what 'desillusional' means, but I assume its a mangled version of 'delusional' and/or 'disappointing'. The view of Pattaya Bay from many vantage points - including the Hilton - is absolutely spectacular and something of a shock when you consider what it can seem like at street level. All the usual hoopla about polluted water etc disappears when you drink in a view like this.

i was thinking of lashing out and staying there one or 2 nights. looking at this photo l will for sure.
