talking about inflation it is getting pretty hard for the bleeding hearts to sustain the $1/day non-sense

works out at around 4000 baht a day by my calculations. you should be fine even for a newbie. but i dont know what the current bar fine, etc, prices are.
for food drink travel and accommodation you got no worries.

looks good http://www.littleitalybkk.com/Menu.html
had forgot that lasagna even existed. go for one of those too:)

since i'm here. where to get a decent pizza, <deleted> it, went to a pizza shop to get a pizza, the farang owner looked Italian, no anchovies anywhere to be seen on the menus. i said have you got anchovies he looked back with a blank expression not understanding and recommended something else in pretty good english. didnt eat pizza that day. anchovies were on sale in the tops supermarket less than 30 meters away. expensive though.
You get one at Little Italy on the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 23 in the jasmine city building.
noted thanks, next trip to bkk i'll venture out that way.

I don't think its a case of quote "Thai people just cant imagine a young farang not wanting the date a Thai woman."...
Its more that the Thai women (now not all) WANT a farang husband....somehow in their mind I think it equates to MONEY and being treated better....
think of all the children up in the Northeast who live in these villages and the Thai's with the NICEST houses , cars etc. are the ones who are married to farangs.....so what do you think these young girls aspire to when they grow up ....."Marry a Farang"?
Not saying its right...not even saying its true....its just one mans opinion
yeah i'd call it largely BS too.
Have lived in thai for several years and able to speak, read/write and from what I have observed the comment is largely true. IMO if you were to remove the "better financial support" many of those women would rather be with thai males at their own socio-econimic-academic level such as motorbike taxi drivers.(exceptions duly noted) It is very uncommon to see a caucasion guy with what appears to be an upscale woman(demeanor, style, language ability, spoken thai, etc etc) I dont base it solely on skin color. as I have known darker skinned professionals.
My intent is not to criticize but to comment based on constructive analyses. No doubt many of the relationships suit both parties adequately.
many thai women want nothing to do with the thai male and his philandering and mia noi proclivities
hmm yeah but that still doesnt mean they then want a farang. sure you can find them but they are no where near in the majority, lets say something like 2 or 3 percent of thai women would be interest in farang.
these days i see much more farang males waliking around by themselves than in company of thai of either (or should i say any) sex.

i tend to like the night because its cool and quiet and you can take some sort of remedial action if you are awake when they are most likely to push the foul smelling toxic crap through the drains and sewers. also best to be awake when the stray mozzies are likely to be about. f'en https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chikungunya it sucks big time lasts for months in me.
-
i guess not if you live in the suburbs. mostly the places i stay are central near the thai local market. this is where the action is. for the record it was breakfast at 7-11, two trays, ga pao gai with rice, and shrimp omelet with rice and tetra brik tomato juice, because the two places i wanted to buy from werent operating today. ok i also had a mama tom yang kung noodle with a spirulina powders top sprinkling, to top it off and gsd ginseng drink too (not from 7-11).total cost around 100 baht. small packet of fish sauce with chili, and also chili tomato sauce in there too. my time now says 6.37am and i went out over an hour ago.

have you notice how early the thais get going. full swing is often 4am. walk about the same area in the day and you think that a recession has hit and they are all about to go under. nicest thais around at that time too. well see ya later.

my theory is that the powers that be have a hugh interest in prostitution and so like to keep the populous poor so that there is a ready flowing supply of new girls. girls with even a little money are reluctant to work full time in the trade, and they get very fussy.

yeah agree, chiang mai is the best place to celebrate loy krathong. especially like the sky lanterns there too.

next door to a large shopping complex in chiang mai.studio thb 3500/month long term.
seems to me to be a lot of FAT farang on here with all the aircon needed. admittedly i've lived in the tropics for most of my life. occasionally i get a room that has aircon when nothing else is available and even then dont turn it on. i prefer formaldehyde-free fresh air thanks.

I use mine to take up that extra space in the bottom drawer of my desk. Works with any flavor of linux, and almost zero power consumption....
funny, thats what i do with my arduino mega that i searched for months to obtain. other than 1 brief session of blinking LED i just cant find the time to play with it.

is this a thai custom? length of mourning period is set in stone? must be proportional to face or something. wont even venture to ask the obvious.

The sewage lines are above the MRT and sh!t only run down.
thanks for that informative piece of info. would have never occurred to me, not that i have a deep interest in shit and dont use the mrt .
perhaps you can tell us why there are so few lifts/escalators at the sky train stations thats what annoys me more. take mbk for example, you have to go into mbk just to use the escalator to get to the sky train. ekamai too, go into a building just to use the escalator. yeah got a sore knee recently so big staircases are a trial. i cant be the only one.

rent in fan room and walk and eat at 7. comes in at under THB 15000 not including visa and visa runs.
What do you pay for your fan room out of interest? Remember before a few people saying they'd paid up to 7k p/m for fan rooms out here which seems bizarre to me as know a few guys who have OK airconned rooms close to BTS stations for 4-7k p/m.
i pay extra for the freedom to vanish tomorrow if i chose. ie. only a few days in advance at a time, THB 250/DAY (no extra charges due) includes electricity, wifi, fans, hot shower, toilet, and cable tv, kitchen sink, double bed with bedding, large table, stools, bottled water, soap, toilet paper, bum-gun, at about 7 meters by 4 meters on the ground floor so no steps. by the month it IS 3500 baht with then extra for electricity and water. why not by the month? i find moving the best way to deal with unwelcomed lobs that can appear from nowhere and stay too long in a close environment. i keep my possessions mobile-able at short notice.
250-300 baht / day is fairly standard for self contained fan room outside bkk. still can find cheaper just as acceptable at 200/day or even less in a nice enough environment close to everything you need, if you know where to look. no i am not telling.
yes agree that paying by the month in bkk suburbs you can get a decent aircon place for THB 7000-ish, even less if you look.
i find acceptable people to deal with a more important factor than the actual room facilities and price.

"air on 8 hours a day everyday" noted that you posted this in october so this is just pure waste to satisfy face.
admitted i have three(3) fans going 24hrs but its included in rent. but fans are more for air quality not temp controll. thailand stinks if you havent noticed.
wifi also included in rent as is cable tv that i dont watch. not in the big smoke or a tourist ghetto by choice. been here long enough to know my way around. could easily do around THB 10000
with minimal extra effort or lifestyle change, but what the heck give cat another goldfish.

Relevance to Thailand beyond some vague reference to Phuket ?
its not rocket science that it could also land in phuket. it from nation and they see it as relevant to thailand so why cant you?

Finally we are getting some tentative cooperation on this.
The C25 Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle would release five huge fuel cylinders after they were spent and all of them would fall into the ocean.
"Our calculations indicate that the fifth tank could possibly land in the Andaman Sea, about 360 kilometres off Phang Nga province. However it would burn up and its size would be much smaller," he added.

train 42 >yala to bkk isnt going
train 43. > 8:05. Bangkok - Surat Thani 16:45. at Lang suan.

train 40>. 10:40. Surat Thani - Bangkok. 19:45. was in Phetchaburi. at 17:28. 17:29. is 42minutes late > so has also passed through Prachuap Khiri Khan today a few hours ago.
seems ok

reason i was looking is to see if the protestors are blocking the trains as well as the roads in Prachuap Khiri Khan see http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/677453-southern-rubber-growers-block-road-urging-talks-with-government/
