  1. In server, hosting and VPS solutions I preffer to have deployed CentOS or RH release. Showed like the most stable and most easy to configure (security, services, migration...) and all my servers are under CentOS (Currently 6.3)

In home use (Personal) i use Slackware distro for more then 10 years, because its the most native, and stable distro in Linux. Comes with Vanilla kernel, and no tweaks from other idiots.

In testing environment i use BackTrack Linux as the best penetration-testing tool.

    :)

  2. What I'd really like to see is an unbiased perspective on what is happening within the Thai government, the various parties reactions, and what is fomenting the protests this time. Anybody got a clue? And please dispense with any sarcasm, inaccurate information, or bias. I really think that the foreign community should understand what is going on and why -- from an outside point of view.

Thaksin runaway to Cambodia after the major incident 7 years ago. Now he's passport and staying there is near end, so his sister, current Prime Minister made a paper without asking anyone maybe one month ago to let her brother come back to Thailand (so called Amnesty Bill). After people find out about that yellow people start gathering in Bangkok and make protest with speech that last all night one night in Bangkok. 2 days after that Amnesty Bill is declined (they withdraw all signatures) and she was crying like a baby on national tv (Prime Minister who cries, very nice), and she was hoping that everything will be ok. But Amnesty Bill is not actually rejected, its just prolonged for 3 months until be voted again. And her elections are coming this Thursday, so now people want to destroy Thaksin regime (his sister). And red people are now getting money from government so they can destroy yellow one, also the police, military and everyone, so Thaksin regime can stay in Government (his shadow sister). Understand ?

  3. People nowadays often mix up in their life love, passion and respect with fall in love and lust. I have to say i'm lucky man to have simple traditional Thai lady with what i have love, respect, passion and happiness. We live together, we sleep together, we fight together, and soon we will have kid together... True love and respect is about sharing. People today are to selfish to know or learn how to do that...

    Best regards,

    Mike

  4. I think You should really take some advice about spending time with yourself to see what is your problem really. Even in Europe when u come in to Jewelry shop, Levis, or even grocery shop like 7-11 u will hear the same annoying doorbell with sensor on the doors, not in the back. So problem is not in the doorbell, problem is within the people who are distracted with the doorbell, and not with the reason why they came to 7-11. I spend usually 2-5 minutes in 7-11, and while im looking what to buy, being concentrated to that, makes me not to be distracted by the doorbell. Don't get me wrong, but its personallity issue, not RULE about DOORBELLs.

    Best regards.

  5. When i first time come to Thailand i took TR Visa on 6 months with 3 entries. They asked me to put on my account in that time 200.000 THB so i can get the Visa. Soon as i have arrived on the airport they asked me how long i plan to stay, what is my purpose and business in Thailand, why i took Visa on 6 months, blah blah blah, while my friend just pass everything (with same Visa) without one question, and it was FIRST TIME. Recently i had a visit from a policeman to the house where my future wife and me are living, with many unreal questions, even if i'm not anymore on TR Visa. It's quite normal to have headache from Thai's IO on the airport, street, house (after few years of being local here) but it really depends on Your luck and their mood, not on the actually suspicios or not. This is land of smilies, but their smiles make our money. So just always be polite, talk straight and set them a story they cannot put down. Easy if u're communicative. smile.png
Give them a same "smile" back :)

  6. Are You all so much limited and caveman based people ? smile.png Listen my good advice, and try to use brain in future. I know You people all like to have Your cash inside Your pockets, so only You know where is it, but today is a lot easier way of transfering funds. Open moneybookers and neteller online account. Go to the nearest bank in Thailand and open account, or just transfer the money to Your PERSONAL Moneybookers or Neteller account in 2 smaller amounts (for example 5500$). They will not charge You for the service with comission, they just charge the fee of using their service (read policy and terms for both companies), take the rest of the cash (19.000$) put in Your pocket, sit on a plane, go home, and then open account back in US, login to Your accounts, and transfer funds back to the new account. You need:

    1. Good will
    2. Sim card here and sim card there (for verification of the adding/removing cards-accounts online)

    3. Valid document (passport) - You will submit to both agencies picture where all corners are visible and letters are clear, same same like Your picture in passport

    And voila smile.png

Very easy, reliable and with trace in any time (what date, who, time, amount, fee) in your e-mail, login panel on their website and paper form.

    Best regards,

    Mike

P.S. I have learned in Thailand over-time that You can trust only Yourself, and it's much more better if You don't talk with the BANK in Thailand or anyone about serious amounts of money. You will easily not lose money, maybe You lose yourself on the way home. Try to work this out without other people. There is a lot of legal ways nowadays that doesn't include people and Your money going to other hands. wink.png
