I think I`m done with Thailand.
I`ll look for somewhere else to spend money.

Obviously this ladyboy does not look at her best in these photos, but I'm willing to bet that she looks good when made up and dressed in the bar.
We don't know what happened here, except that someone was attacked which may or may not have been an act of self defence.
I know this:
1/ I have been to that bar myself, and many other ladyboy bars and I have never been attacked or ever seen any of the "girls" acting in any threatening or violent manner at all.
2/ I have seen many men be incredibly rude and insulting to ladyboys in Thailand, and I have witnessed farang men physically assaulting a ladyboy for no reason.
Like I said, I don't know what happened here, but the poor quality of reporting probably means I never will.
Him,not her.
He,not she.

Yea.. another moralious from the bible belt.
You obviously don`t know much about America,as the bible belt is just a small percentage of the country.
And "moralious?
Is that even a word?
Or do you not know much about spelling either?

video everything inside the house as regards any damage or no damage as its hard to get deposits back as they will claim you caused the damage done by previous renters.
basically you can kiss any deposits goodbye as its like getting blood from a stone to get it returned .
contact with legal witnesses is essential
Make sure the land lord appears in the video.
If he`s not willing, then no deal.

I can only speak from personal experience.Having met my wife in the U.S.,our situation is different from the typical farang/Thai marriage. We married based on compatibility and love.More than once when my own family turned their back on me,she has been there 100%.And I for her. When family health issues called for her to return to Thailand,I had no problem with it.And even though we`re not together year round as a result,we are still completely devoted to each other. She has been without any doubt, the best part of my life.
I dont really get that, at all
there is another guy who wrote a thread much like yours, whose wife also went back due to a family illness, and the last I heard his wife was buying tattoos among her trail of waste of his money, while he was scrimping along with 3 kids at home,
he never said whose kids
If you have been back and forth, you may have an IDEAL scenario, over a 20 month period, by 3 months, it adds up to more time in LOS than in US?
I might like something liek that myself, but I dont want to get married, again, for that pleasure.
It is interesting to hear a story like this,
I believe it is possible, with the right woman, and meeting her in the US suggests she is partially westernized and speaks english,
I think I am jealous
She is partially westernized, and speaks English well.
This is the 2nd marriage for both of us,and we have one beautiful daughter who is American born.
And,other than being away from them both for extended periods,I am a happy man.
it makes me want to google, thai exchange students in america, and apply for a semester!
We met in a casino.
I`m a bartender,she was a cocktailwaitress.

may I ask, what sort of time she spends away? and is it a permanent arrangement?
She has been back in Thailand just over 3 years.Starting with a visit to her sick mother, who passed from Parkinson`s not long after her arrival. After that she stayed to help her father, who was diagnosed with cancer a short time later, and has now also passed.During that period I have visited Thailand for approximately 20 months combined.Returning to the U.S. for seasonal work.
No,this is not permanent. The only things keeping her there now are some property that needs to be sold. Her father`s pension and benefit payments were just recently completed. He was a member of the RTP.Hopefully she`ll return to the U.S. by years end.

She is making $60/hour!!! What is your problem? She gives you hundreds a month, right? My father would tip my mother for every meal she cooked for him. Just being a loving husband forever.
It was a wonderful thought the family always remembers. she accumulated a lot of money that we kids eventually inherited but that is not the point. You are a husband with a wife. please get on the same page. be a wonderful husband and not a typical dead beat farang that we hear and see all the time. She is not taking advantage of you. If she is you probably deserve it.
Deadbeat farang?
He paid for her schooling, and probably everything else that has improved her quality of life.

She is a professional masseuse. It is a bad habit to give away your service that you rely on for a living. If you are a mechanic do you fix all of your friend's cars for free? If you are a teacher do you tutor all your friend's children for free lets say from 6PM to 10 PM every night.
Her teacher is right and is training her to be a professional. Massage all day long is hard work.
Pay up you cheapskate. Your wife will have the money not the local massage parlour.
Would you charge your wife to fix her car?
Would you charge your children for helping with their homework?
If so.you`re the cheapskate.
Would you learn the Thai customs?
Even though some are superstition?
Or do you prefer easy bashing based on ignorance?
Most Thais believe if one massage someone it is to help the person, that it to say take off some problem-pain-stiffness or whatever, if one do not ask any money he will collect the person's problem for himself, BUT, 1 Baht 10 or 20 Baht would be enough so nothing to do with cheapskate, but superstition yes!
So you`re assuming I have no first hand knowledge of Thai life?
Who`s the ignorant one here?

Its an acceptable superstition - just like no 13th floor in a hotel. My wife used to charge me but now uses me as a guinea pig for her trainees - great idea, but also to learn her own new walking on body with the side of an ankle technique - bad idea. $ 60 in Oz has been the same fee for a professional massage for years
No such thing as an "acceptable superstition".
Unless your a simple minded fool that is.

You`ve already paid for the schooling/certificate.If she`s requiring you to pay for massages, then you should demand repayment for the school, plus interest, and room & board.

The next big scandal.

Best idea yet.
"RICE AID"
Ole Willie would be proud.

They would of had their money by now if he did not protest and make things worse.
Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand
Not likely, payments were already overdue before the protests even began.

These people are incredibly stupid,or incredibly dishonest. Or very likely both.
-
I never thought the US would re-elect thier fool, so I figure Yingluck is good for another term. Very sad in both cases.
Surely you mean George Jr.,right?
-
No big deal. If it was for safety sake especially for these protesting times, why not? Bombs in the toilets, drug deals, sex....um...nevermind. The cameras were not pointed into the toilet areas. Go ahead and warn all users that these port-a-potties have surveillance. Go crap somewhere else if you want. Funny.
I agree. But,why are the cameras hidden?

Immigration Announcement About Visa Exempt Extensions & Other Changes On the 29th
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Well I`m not living in Thailand, but for the last three years I`ve stayed there for 6-7 months of the year,as a tourist. One of the many things I`ve liked about it was the simplicity of the immigration laws.
