I don't peruse the classifieds any more since I don't currently live in Thailand.  But years ago when I did, there were ads that were 2-3 years old.  So I'm not sure having fewer ads is a bad thing.

A well run classified section will cut the ads off after some period of time, say 14 or 30 days.  If the item is still available, all the seller has to do is re-post it.  Takes just a minute and keeps the section clear of items belonging to people who repatriated over a year ago.  Which used to be pretty common.

Plus, it forces the seller to re-think pricing if their goodies haven't sold at their price level.

That's how it works. It says how long before it expires, starting with 30 days.

After 30 days, it's removed from the list.

It seems to have some problem. When I click "POST AN AD", I'm taken to this page:

    https://classifieds.thaivisa.com/post-ad

    ...where I get this message:

    POST AN AD

Warning! You are not logged in! You can still post an ad, but you will not be able to edit / change it later!
For a better control over your ads, please register first! To register, click here
Registration is free, quick and unique on the entire Thaivisa.com portal!

So Classifieds wants a separate login. It is not registering that I'm logged in with my forum

account, and there is no clear option to log in, only register. Solution is to go to the "My Account",

located on the green line above the "POST AN AD" message. You are then asked if you want

to use your forum account to log in to Classifieds. Do that, and the message above goes away.

So this login option needs to be moved to the "POST AN AD" page here:

(or even better, just make it use the forum account)

    https://classifieds.thaivisa.com/post-ad

I have no idea if this confusion is the reason there are so few ads. I'm also pretty sure

nobody messed this up on purpose, but someone needs to fix it.

    Cheers ????

But you enjoy spending time doing totally unnecessary stuff that the Thai government forcing you to do.

"I'm so fed up reading about tm30..."

hello, do you know if it can help to remove limescale in toilet ? thanks.

I use vinegar for toilet and tiles. Works great. I eat a couple glass of Sweet Pickles

a year, and when I have emptied a glass, I use the vinegar that is left for cleaning in

the toilet. This also helps me remember to do it.  :whistling:

Just pour some on the toilet brush and "quick-clean" the dry areas. Pour the rest in

the water and let it sit for 5 minutes if it's bad. Dip the brush in the water and use

that to clean everything. It should come off easily.

Every now and then I do the inside of the tank too. Every 2nd year maybe.

    Cheers ????

No problems for me. Because of a long queue at my local Bangkok Bank ATM in Tesco, I crossed to an adjacent Krungsri Bank ATM and withdrew 4,000 baht. When I looked at the screen it clearly showed "0 Fee". I returned to Bangkok Bank's passbook update machine which confirmed that no fee had been deducted. I have been a customer for 18 years and possess a Bangkok Bank Visa debit card.

    Deja vu...

  5. I don`t get this. When I get income confirmation from my consulate,

I just go there with a copy of my pension papers and ask for a signed

confirmation with the written amount. This paper, I give to the Immigration

office when applying for my yearly VISA.

The paper from my consulate is not some paper from the Immigration

office that they have to fill in. There is nothing in that document that say

that my consulate guarantee my future pension. It only states my current

pension, a signature and a stamp. That's it...

If the kids dive with 2 divers each, they're going to need 26 divers, not 18...

"Narongsak said the boys and their coach would dive out one at a time, each accompanied by two members of a team of Thai and foreign divers."

1 kid followed by 2 divers to the first narrow or dry section. To more divers receiving the

kid on the other side, bringing him to the next section, and so on.

The first divers goes back and get another kid and the cycle repeats until everybody is out.

Unless you know how many narrow and dry parts there are, there is no way you can do the

math on how many divers are needed..

Cull em, stop the stupidity of "making merit" by feeding them. won't  happen, stupid  is as  stupid does, make  it  illegal to have a dog  out on the  loose  anywhere unless leashed.

Many Thai dog  "owners" are  irresponsible they say they take care  but its  just laughable, throwing out a  bowl of  rice for these mangy things is a  joke.

I don`t think starving them to death is the solution. :post-4641-1156693976:

  8. If there was a master key, he probably did not want to wake up anybody. He was my neighbor before

and a very kind and polite guy, always smiling and taking time for a chat. He used to live in the room

above me, and was always apologizing and asking if he had been noisy. He was the only Russian

I have ever heard of who know how to use the door handle to close a door, as opposed to slamming

it and waking up the whole building. He spoke English and even Thai, and was just a real good guy.

I never asked him what kind of VISA he had, but I would not have called him a tourist. He was not

that kind of person who get drunk every day, so this was just a very tragic accident.

His girlfriend is devastated, and we are all very sad about what happened.

    RIP my friend.
