  1. My friend in Mae On has a small dairy of around 75 cows. They also have a plant in the area that processes the milk in that area. Sorry don't have contact info handy at this time.

  2. I buy it here in Maryland when I can find it. However, it is always close to the sale by date on the bottle and sometimes beyond that date, even though it is still a good beer. Guess I better let them know about this problem.

  3. I would like to see someone start buying and selling used Kindles, Nooks and whatever else type of e-readers. After a few years of ownership there are going to be a number of books on these machines and unlike real books you're unable to give them away or sell them. The business would also allow people to swap e-readers for other e-readers for a very small service fee.

  4. Yup Donnyboy, those gals are pros. Just look at the footwear. That's always the sign of someone who has what it takes to stand for 10 hours and look good. Boots and shoes with ankle straps are the only way you can do that in a 4-in heel.

I wonder if I'm the only one who noticed their footwear?

No, the boots were kick ask

  5. What I forgot to say, nice work without the use of a flash. However, the other nice thing about shooting at a higher ISO is that you can power down your flash, set it to around minus 2 stops or so, the thing is to pop in just enough light add a little to shadows or to put a little light in the eyes. And while you're at it bounce it off the side wall or anything that would make it appear more natural.

  6. Funny, when I'm helping my wife cook we use very little sugar if any at all, it used mostly to take the edge off the salt. We don't use msg in our house but I also know the myths about it are not true and it is a flavor enhancer much like table salt. It is said that people in the food business are cutting corners to increase their profits, sorry they feel people wont pay for quality and many wont but some of us will if we know we're getting the best product possible. I know I can eating healthy Thai food, just as long as I'm cooking it.

  7. dmax, I am not an expert but my Thai wife and I have been married 25 years this December. Yes, even today she will give me the silent treatment too and this can sometimes go on for a few days. Invite friends over to your house, she will more than likely open up to them while they are in your house. Oh, she'll still be pissed at you but it will get the ball rolling and then you can talk it out what is bothering her. Funny, my mother would yell at us kids and I hated that but it didn't go on and on either.

My wife has a college education from Thailand and has been working here for 22 of the 25 years we've been together. There was even a year when she made more than me. It wasn't easy in the beginning. She took English classes and other type of classes when we first got married and I think this is the best thing anyone married to non English speaking person can do for them, send them to school. We don't hang out with many Thai people either, she is not interested in playing cards, gossiping or running around.

The thing I do when she isn't talking to me (and it is probably due to something I said or did) is continue talking to her and engaging her in what she is doing. By the way my wife can't clean that well either and she knows it but can keep things tidy.

It was six years before we took a trip back to her country. We have only helped out a little to her family, a loan to a brother (and he paid us back) money to a niece for college and a few gifts now and then when we visit. But they all know we're not rich and what we make here is spent here with very little left over. In fact I would say her bother and sisters live better than us, at least they have free time to do things, and can afford to hire help around the house.

When I was in the Navy she did everything, paid the bills, took care of our child, even one time refinanced the house. Today I do everything, gee I miss the Navy. Get her active outside of the house.

  8. I don't know where to buy the machine, however let me warn you that males should not be drinking a lot of soy milk, you will develop "man boobs" . I read this in an issue of Men's Health a few months back, and I'm sure you could probably google this and get some info on it too.

  9. When I lived on Guam we had a drink called tuba. It is made from the juice of the coconut flower. If you drink it fresh it is a refreshing nonalcoholic drink but if allowed to ferment can turn into a drink with some kick to it. You must attend to the tree everyday and collect the juice and replace the jar used to catch the juice with a clean jar. Also need to wrap a plastic bag over it to keep out the bugs.

  10. My wife has a member of her family that runs a shop from his home his name is O Pantotseema (phonic spelling) he drives a Harley and organises rides in Sisaket. Sorry I can not help you more but we live in the US now. If you want more information IM me and I'll give the name of my sister-in-law and she may be able to give you directions.

  11. People will pay and if they are smart they are using a VOIP to make all their phone calls and in the end save money. This service is not set for locals so cost should not be an issue for the tourist coming in or leaving.

Will I use it, no, I have better things to do with my money. After a 12 hour flight a nice massage to work out the kinks of sitting would be nice and massage before leaving would be nice too. Hmmm, will any business be offering this type of service? Please someone take this idea and run with it.

  12. I took my son there to play his first game.

Very simple course to play and they have everything you need. There is a place after nine where you can get something to eat and drink. The caddies were very kind and helpful. Nice food at the club house and they have beer too. Price was also good. Must have closed toe shoes, no sandles unless they are the golf shoe type. I had to rent golf shoes because I had on sandles and they don't have size 12 .... ouch.

They also have a driving range which we should have used prior to playing.

We played there in August so it was dry.

  13. I no longer buy hamburger once I learned how easy it is to make your own if you have a small food processor. I will buy chuck steak or sirloin and cut it into small cubes and pulse grind ( 7 to 10 pulses) a few cubes at a time in the processor until I have the amount I need. Now the best thing about doing it yourself is that you can safely cook a medium rare burger.

  14. "There already is a huge area near Samkampheng that has been in the plans for becoming an airport. It's convenient to any area in the city, far fewer problems with local traffic flow than currently exits at the current airport location, and the pollutants can spread out and dissapate better in San Kampheng, hopefully"

I thought this was already a done deal the way a friend of my wife was telling us, that's why my wife bought land out that way.
