I have used a Dentists in Korat a few times over the last few years, There is no English name on the sign but it is called "Ban Mor Fan" and it is on the Changpuek Road between the Pegasus Hotel and the Maharat Hospital on the same side of the road as and not far from the V One hotel.
I have had a couple of crowns done and a few fillings over the years and i have found them to be reasonably priced and very professional.
I think they have another 2 clinics in Korat but i only use my local one the phone number is (044)248866-7.

One year old and already starting to rust in the engine bay.
Have you asked if it's covered under warranty.
I just noticed it yesterday when i was topping up the battery and droped one of the battery stopers into the enginebay, I would hope it would be covered under the three year warranty next service is due in a couple of months i will find out then.

I brought myself a RVF400 track bike to use on the small technical Korat track, It is tremendous fun and a real giant killer on such a tight track.
It was built by a friend of mine who was worried about crashing his bigger expensive bikes, I think he now regrets selling it and is looking to buy a Ninja 250
to convert into a track bike.

That is strange because the one i brought for my wife 6 weeks ago is painted under the bonnet etc infant the the paint and finish are very high quality.
Do you have some photos? Everyone I have seen is not properly painted under the bonnet. It's a cost cutting measure, same as in brio, and I think, the march.
My car is well finished under the bonnet. in the boot etc.

Our car is silver and it does seem to be properly painted under the bonnet, I read that the mirage will be a world car and sold in over 160 countries,
It is soon to launched in the UK so if there are any finish problems i'm sure they will show up.
I find the interiour qulity and feel to very good indeed and i am very happy with the car having now covered just over 2000 km.

Thanks and now that I think about it every time it has seized it was after putting gasohol in it and running the bike wide open. Just had the piston replaced again, pretty sure he didn't re-bore either. The guy put a bottle of 2T in the tank when I had about 1.5 liter of fuel in it on top of the full 2t tank. So now it fouls plugs and doesn't want to start and if it does it quickly dies also occasionally back fires when trying to kick start. Big headache maybe I should just get a another one and keep this one for parts.
I'm not sure you can get them re bored as they have a ceramic cylinder coating.

The Mitsubishi Mirage is not being recalled, Its was recalled a few months back to rectify a fuel gauge problem.
Having owned one for 3 weeks now i think its a cracking little car.
-
I have the same car, but 2004, with 205,000 kms on it. I changed to gasohol 91 many years ago. No problems at all, just a very minor reduction in fuel economy. This engine is compatible with gasohol - I saw a phd file I downloaded outlining all models and suitable fuel, but I don't remember the link. This car is considered compatible with gasohol91.
Thanks for that, I am sure most people must run them on Gasohol but its nice to know for sure.

I have a 2003 2.0 Honda Civic which i have owned since new and covered just 80,000 km.
I have only ever run it on 91 Benzene which i believe is soon to be no longer available, I have asked many people at Honda if my car will have any problems running on Gasohol but no one seems to know for sure.
I would like to know if anyone with a similar model uses gasohol and if so did they have to make any modifications.

We just got our Mirage last week an so far have driven only 450km, I did find that from the dealer the tires had 50 to 55 psi instead of the recommended 35psi.
I do not find the road noise that excessive considering it is an entry level car.
We were told by our dealer we would get one in 3 months and it took a couple of weeks longer to get ours which was not that bad.
On the whole i am very happy with it and have had no problems we got 17kpl on the first tankful which was all stop and start city driving and it only cost 850baht to fill the tank compared to 1500baht for our civic.

The fastest man in Thailand on an EX650 is Colin (newf) with Luke (SundayPsychos)
haha not far off there, Colin has a 1m 29.4s under his belt at thailand circuit, mine is a 1m29.5s. However at Bira I have him with a 1m09.54s, colin (currently) has a 1m10.01s
Major mods and most important are...
1. slicks(pirelli)
2. a comprehensive diet plan. mine is currently about 174kgs dry, down about 25kgs on stock.
3. opening up airbox, aftermarket pipe( me and colin both use arrow)
4. ZX10r brake caliipers + decent pads
5.aftermarket rear shock, we use YSS but im sure hyperpro and ohlins are very good aswell.
6. rear sets, stock not only drag when cornering but they weigh a tonne aswell..
7. stock bars are too narrow and high, I have rizoma bars on mine and quite like them, much better control than stock
8.those are the things I can immediately think of, I have a 2 bros juice box on mine but too be honest I dont think it works aswell as a powercommander would, it cant be fine tuned like the pc's can.
cheers
What is involved in mounting ZX10r brake caliipers to an er6 i would love to improve my 2009 er6n brakes.

Like you i would love to get a Manual for my wave, all i have managed to download so far is a parts Manual.
I see that on the 17th of this month Haynes in the UK will be releaseing one for the Innova which is the same bike as the Wave and i have one on pre order from Amazon.

Sorry, Honda Thailand really doesn't like people to publish service manuals about motorcycles they make. Often they not even make a translation in English, the numbers I give you are from our Thai mechanic and from a official Honda service manual.... and they are correct...
For the future, just remember who helped you with real information, and not like some on this forum... if you have any other questions I'm happy to answer them … I have a service manual for all Honda models ever sold in Thailand...
Richard, Thanks again i do appreciate your help, I will adjust the valves on my Son's Sonic this weekend as they are statring to get a little loud.

Cuongjr Did you ever find the service manual for the Honda Sonic?
I have been searching for one myself as i need to know the valve
clearances.
If anybody knows what they are i would be most grateful is you could tell me.
Valve clearance coldly I/O 0,06/0.27 +-0,02mm
Thank you Richard, that is a big difference between inlet and exhaust
On the Wave they are both the same 0.05 mm

Well for those that cannot wait for their bike to turn up i did some research and found MPC Motorcycles in Korat on Prajak Rd. The manager/owner is Khun Udomsak (speaks good english) 081 871 4221. Really really nice guy. They are a kawasaki big bike approved seller
I bought my ER6N here and he even did finance through another company (as i didn't live in Korat), with all relevant paperwork. He currently has D-trackers in stock, 1 x black & 1 x yellow. And he understands that he will recieve ER6N's in the coming days. There is nobody with deposits on any bikes in korat so give him a call because could save you a lot of time.
I had to sign all the documents in Korat of course.
The bike was then delivered to my door 4/5 days later and was even in the back of a truck on the road before i had made the initial deposit.
Ive just added the two brothers exhaust and i recommend this as people can hear you coming...they didnt initially in bangkok with the stock exhaust.
Plus that sound really puts a smile on your face
cheers
I bought my ER6N from MPC back in February at a time when every other shop in Thailand was quoting a 2 to 3 month wait, at that time they had 4 in stock.
A very friendly shop and they even let me pay for mine on a UK credit card with out paying any commission.

Im looking to by a Dtracker or KLX 250 up here in Surin, I have driven around Surin and Buriram already and have'nt found a Kawasaki dealership anywhere. Been combing through the Thai websites looking for secondhand bikes and its making my eyes bleed, Would rather just go to a dealership and pay for a new one.
Any advice to dealerships throughout isaan would be great.
They have them both in stock in Korat at MPC bike shop 044 255011 along with a few Ninjas.

Thanks for that information, I suspect military hospital same as goverment one. Does any one have telephone numbers for tthis or these hospitals. Also can I gt accomodation for wife near to hospital.
Mickey,
The army hospital has no connections with the government hospital, All the doctors and nurses are all members of the army and very well trained and equipped.
I have a phone number from the back of my card which is 044-273370-5
There are private rooms so your wife could stay with you but it will be hit and miss if there are any free.
As the hospital is very close to the centre of Korat city there are plenty of hotels near by.
