It is peak hour for internet use now (18:30 Thai time) and voila!

The speed test to Helsinki that gave 86/63 in the early afternoon now gives:

    16/64

Not catastrophic but with the often reported anomaly of download being slower than upload.

AND: some youtube video stuck right now. Time to VPN.

I'm trying to upload to Rumble as well, as far as I know their servers are not in Europe and are in US/Canada and the upload speed is shocking.. so it must be something more than the Cut Red Sea cables...plus you say Youtube videos are stuck which should also be US based...I wonder whats going on?:

The good news and the bad news.

It's not your problem. It's our problem.

I get similar results to the same server and a server in Frankfurt (German Internet Hub).

Local my connection is > 300 times as fast.

thanks, it definitely seems like Truemove is the issue, local connection on Oosha is fine but test to UK server and it won't even connect....not acceptable...we should ask for compensation:

It's taken me an hour to upload a video. Also its not the video websites fault because I use a remote computer in my parents house and I tested uploading a video from the UK and it was fine.

Unless its the underwater cables like the guy above said...

  3. Yes My True Internet has been painfully slow the last couple of weeks, I pay 854 baht a month and have the router for the last 3 years in the same condo.  It's one particular UK video sharing site I upload videos to is painfully slow, US video site uploads instantly.... also some other sites are slow and I live stream.

  4. I submitted mine today with the new site, same as the OP. I'm waiting for the result it's 'pending' ....

I also noticed what he said about the PDF TM47 that is sent to your email after submission...it has a blank space where arrival card number/non O tickbox/arrival by details should be as they don't ask for it in the form.   They do ask for your visa expiry date in the submission form but it's not labelled as 'Required Red *' but I filled it in anyway ( I filled everything)

Old system was working fine no problems for me last 2 submissions successful. Submitted exact address and was very careful no mistakes, screenshotted everything on this new system...  Hopefully get an email 'approved' in 24 hours, old system was approving very fast last time

  5. You guys need to get into coins (BEP20 tokens) on the Binance Smart chain,  its the same as Ethereum chain but with x10 lower fees.  Its what Safemoon runs on.

One coin I made $2000 this week called Ecoin Finance , its a UK Ltd company who are bringing out a wallet/debit card

You can buy it on Trustwallet, Pancakeswap and Poocoin.   Just buy some BNB (Binance coin) to convert and send it to those wallets from Binance first

  6. I sent mine by EMS last month to CW with the 10 baht stamp return envelope inside....It took 27 days to get the receipt back. I was freaking out the same as you but it eventually turned up...

I read on here of others in the same boat, somebody said its 30 days after your 90 day was due not the date you sent it that is when you need to contact them... maybe someone can verify that for you in the comments under mine

I got a fine for being late with my 90 day during the amnesty.

how much did you get fined?  they should make it more clear especially for first time peeps, they forgot to put the white reminder slip in my passport for this 90 day as well (Which I thought was odd at the time but overlooked as was so stressed with the whole process)

I'm going tomorrow to sort it, I'll pay if anything needs to be paid, at least after the first one I can do it online, I'll make a calender from now on, now I have experience I won't mess it up again. I mean if anything Im only a day after 97 days if they include the report day as a full day as UbonJoe says.

the one years extension reset your 90 days report, the information that you submit to get a new extension are consider a report, a new 90 days start when they stamp your one year extension approval.

I'm confused about this also, I was 'approved' my 12 month extension July 29th and was under the assumption that the 90 days started from then because it says 90 day reporting under that stamp.....  nothing is mentioned about 90 days when I submitted my information July 1st only that it is under consideration

  9. I applied for extension of stay(marriage) July 1st and was told to go back July 29 with the under consideration stamp....

I went back on the 29th July and was granted the extension until Jun 30 2021 (Under this stamp it says to report every 90 days.)

Did the 90 days start when my extension was confirmed (29th July)?

I have been here 19 years entirely legally.

Only once have I applied for an extension of stay in country and that was this year.

The process for extending my stay was so utterly dysfunctional I felt violated by submitting to it.  Requests for irrelevant documents, sign every conceivable piece of paper, certify original documents as true copies because they insist.  Watching their 'processing' of my application was like something from a Marx brothers movie.

I have no idea how people repeatedly go through the much worse process of applying in country for 12 months on the basis of marriage and then get self righteous about the fact they do so.  I would feel only shame and a complete lack of self worth for submitting to that.  The whole process is an abuse.  I would keep quiet about going through it rather than bang on about doing things 'the proper way' and condemning others.

And yes, I do have the money in a Thai bank, adequately seasoned and could jump through all the other hoops involved in a marriage application but if they are offering 60 day rolling extensions I'll take that.

My 12 Month Extension was done in a few hours in one day after I kept the money in the bank 2 months, easy, I'd rather do that once a year than have to see i/o officers every 2 months

The government needs to issue an edict that immigration can't negate, I'd suggest something like .....

"Immigration is to issue a 1 year extension to any person applying with a bank statement showing 400k in a Thai bank on the day of application" (or 3 months showing 100K, etc.)

What a cheek.  Why would and better still why should regular tourists only have to show the same amount in the bank as those of us who have committed to a life long relationship with a Thai person and had to jump through all the hoops.  If anything you should show the same as a retiree 800K

  12. Nobody thinks this, they think that women's overly aggressive behaviour towards men is caused by feminism... the don't hit a girl thing is proliferated by white knights who think that women can't do anything wrong or to provoke a man

As a side note, it's kind of funny that some guys are so confused about gender politics that they seem to think feminism is responsible for the 'don't hit a girl' thing, rather than the preceding generations of patronising, patriarchal 'weaker sex' bullshit.

  13. I agree the skinny one who kicked her while she was down was wrong...he needs to be caught. But the guy throwing the punches was in an uncontrolled drunken rage because the flowery guy hit him first. (Which is not an excuse but explains why it went out of control)

Not to mention the grandma was also unwise to slap that Thai guy who may I note did nothing following that.... and I agree with others... she is not back in the west where women can do anything and men stand back and take it ... this is the real world.. women have been brainwashed in the west to think that men have to submit to them

Once any fight gets out of control in Thailand they all join in and it gets very messy because their instinct is to stick up for each other. Thai's are like one big family.you will know this if you study their language...Ive seen it happen on Soi Arab in Pattaya... they should have just walked away after the son slipped and fell

and that whole 'brush of the arm' thing at the start looked a lot more like drunken obnoxious behavior to me, he literally reaches out at the Thai guy

The bad thing about this is that it will bring more divide between Thai and Farrang and anyone who has studied the video can see that the grandpa Farrang threw the first punch around the 0.55 mark in the flowery shirt which kicked it all off

Thais will think we're all troublemakers now

    Not so.....smile.png

In that part of LOS folk know about farangs and farangs have no knowledge of LOS......Thais are used to it...

Putting the boot in to any old bird who is incapacitated is the action of a cowardly turd...

The guy must be found....The PM must come on Tv and tell us all his action....Me, bit tired of the PM talking about rice every night, lets have some talk about action towards those who are destroying LOS tourist stuff..
