  1. If you entered Thailand with that single entry B visa it has expired as you made the only entry allowed.  What date it may have as expiration was in reference to a use by date.

Now if you have several months remaining on your permitted to stay in Thailand stamp you could obtain a re-entry permit to allow you to return to use the remainder of that time.  You do that at immigration prior to leaving at a cost of 1,000 baht and photo and somehow not mention you are working here illegally.

    Thanks lopburi3.

I fully realise the illegality of my situation; your implication seems to be that I will get the third degree from immigration if I try to get a re-entry permit? Has anyone else on this board been in this situation? I will be leaving from Don Muang.

  2. Hi,

I got my single-entry non-b in Penang a while ago and it expires the middle of September. I'm going to Cambodia next week for a weekend break and was wondering is there anyway for me to get an extension or re-entry permit of some kind on the visa?

    I don't have a work permit (company won't get one :o ) and make over 60g a month.

    Cheers.

  3. Hey all.

I'm currently working freelance (teaching) and have been doing the Poipet visa run for the past 4 months. The company I work for have offered to help with getting the 3 month non-imm b visa. I've read as much as I can here and on Ajarn and have a couple of questions.

    1. Can I only get a single-entry from Penang(or elsewhere in the region)? I have a B.A. , M.A. and P.G.C.E. (all English) and my passport is literally full of Asian stamps.

    2. I want to go home to Ireland for a 2 week holiday before xmas and have the return leg of my ticket to do so. A friend checked prices for a one-way flight back to Thailand and was told that if I did not have Thai residency I would not be allowed on the flight. So how can I get around this?

    Cheers, Slainte, Chok dee cap.

  4. Hey O'Gara,

Speaking as a Tipperary man, I wouldn't worry one ounce about it. I have two good jobs here and my accent has never been an issue....in fact it's been an asset to me on a number of occasions. But then again seeing as you're a Dub............. :D

I know what you're saying about your history teacher...... :o

  5. Hey all.

I went to lovely Poipet on Sunday to get my new visa. No hassle besides the Khmer official asking for 100 baht because "you go back to Thailand". I refused.

Anyway, on the bus on the way back to Bangkok----ya I know too late----i checked my departure card and the guy hadn't stamped the expiry date under the arrival date. However, the stamp in the passport itself is in order with both arrival and expiry dates.

Is this gonna be major grief for me? I was thinking of going to immigration tomorrow to sort it out.....is that necessary?

    Thanks for your help!
