  1. VERY disturbing!!!

    27/12/13 - Din Daeng - Bangkok - Thailand.

Look at this VDO from 0:45 and up!

    http://youtu.be/WvcO0qkOiI8

This is indeed truly shocking. The picture of that poor young vendor shot through the head. All you in favour of this sham PTP 'democracy' should watch this. At least the World is waking up to this evil and not spouting about Taksin 'Champion of the poor'. Sickening.

Poor chap indeed but hes no simple vendor not with that scarf around his neck and band on his wrist.... not what id call in the wrong place at the wrong time, to my eyes he was probably actively taking part in the incident and probably to him in the right place but certainly the wrong time.

would you please be so kind to post the thai law, where & why wearing a neck scarf & a wrist band are punished by immediate death by the police?

hope YOU're always "in the right place" at the right time. how low can YOU go? in the bangkok shuffle:

  2. Sutheps ultimate goal is to get a fried chicken restaurant named after him!! attachicon.gifhitler-restaurant.jpg

tax-sin has got his chickens already fried as you kindly depicted.

did it take a brandnew amnesty bill by 'thai rak tax-sin' to buy, own, run & sell it tax-free?

does it serve a rotten rice scam @ double price & will suthep shut it down too next week?

(sorry, forgot that the vast majority of shares belong to 2 hidden toilet wipers in dubai & zimbabwe)

  3. Fair comment, playing the democratic, "everyone has a right to vote" card is not unreasonable. But stop for a moment and challenge that right, do they really have a right to vote when they allow their vote to be bought and/or as in the West in countries like the UK where they don't vote at all? I suggest no they don't, I think under those circumstances people perhaps might even get to loose their vote entirely. But regardless of what we each might think on this point, one thing is clear, no election will ever be free fair and representative as long as votes are allowed to be bought by the rural poor, in that respect I wonder if the country is actually ready for democracy.

The people have a right to choose whomever for whatever reason. It is the job of the politicians to present themselves as the better choice. A politician has the right to make campaign promises. If the opposition cannot present a package that is more attractive, then they must educate the people as to why their opponents are being irresponsible with their promises.

It is a crime for politicians to give money in exchange for votes. But it is the job of the courts to determine if that happened. The fact that it does happen in Thailand so openly exposes a major flaw in the application of law, but it does not mean that people should lose their right to vote. It means the system needs to become accountable. Accountability can only come from the voting pubic, without a mandate from the people conspiracy is inevitable.

Without the right to vote, citizens become wards of the state, instead of the government being employees of the people. Without accountability the door is open for complete abuse of power, History has shown this to be a likely scenario. Every Tyrant starts out appearing to apply the law, only to disregard it when power is consolidated.

The only completely irresponsible thing Thailand can do at this point is to remove the right to vote. It is treason and a predictable result would be civil war.

...Taking away the vote from responsible working citizens will inevitably lead to tyranny.

Suthep's rejection of the House dissolution is worrying to me, because it smacks of abandonment of the democratic process.

It's not scientific by any means, but every Thai person I have ever questioned about the money packets handed out on or before election day seem to have a good chuckle about it. They are happy to take the money, the family will eat a little better that week. And they often times receive these "gifts" from more than one candidate. But when it is time to vote they vote their conscience, regardless of who gave them what out on the street. I honestly don't think it matters to them who is handing out the money because they know who they are going to vote for.

Thailand is still in it's infancy democracy-wise and the process needs the application of law, fairly and universally. Attempts at bribery whether is has any effect or not is unlawful and the rule of law must be the goal for the future. Thailand has a lot of growing up to do, but I am happy here and wish only the best for my chosen home.

    1. responsible working citizens? where are they? those who sell their votes to a greedy billionaire are totaly irresposible!

    2. suthep did not vote for the house dissolution, why his 'rejection' worries you? its totally democratic if someone does not like the government

    3. "Thailand is still in it's infancy democracy-wise" so THIS "infancy' needs to be abandoned in a democratic process as described in the constitution

    4. you are a joker talking about "money packets" handed out to everybody from every candidate. and vote sellers have a "conscience"???

people who say they receive money from several sides for free are lying & bragging, not conscience-stricken. the vote buyers are not that stupid!

they give the "money packets" to people who oversee the elections & who themselves need to account for every baht they spent

vote sellers need to show their vote before they receive anything. just watch the voting like we did & you see that it isn't 'secret'

especially not in the land of tax-sinners who spread those lies to dwarf their massiv corruption (everybody does it & mine doesn't matter 55555)

    5. "I honestly don't think it matters to them who is handing out the money because they know who they are going to vote for"

you have a strange kind of "honesty", obviously the same as "who is handing out the money" that voters "know who they are going to vote for"

    potemkin villages: http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z205/JekyllnHyde_photos/May%2024th%202010/321930full.gif

is exactly what the useless & highly paid (many of them by the CIA) foreign election 'observers' see

they can 'observe' nothing even not the banks in their home country were they know all the dirty tricks

    http://potemkinsvillage.blogspot.com/2012/06/in-individuals-insanity-is-rare-but-in.html

insanity is: voting for tax-sin & mass-murder again & again expecting a different result

  4. Wouldn't be the first time the military was used for ops like this:

    http://www.nationmultimedia.com/home/SOI-10-DEMOLITION-Heavies-received-Bt20m-73176.html

off topic again. the topic was NOT about destroying bars in sukhumvit, but an assault & beating up a mobile shop owner

wondering that links to the nation are allowed but links to bangkok post are NOT allowed on TV?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quod_licet_Iovi,_non_licet_bovi (bovi = buffalo)

  5. Once again everyone jumps in without knowing the whole story/truth. Has a club been formed too express themselfs without the facts??

First off, you will never know the whole story. There is never any follow-up in the news. Second,

it would never be any fun to make outlandish statements if you knew the boring truth.

If you are reading TV, don't ever think you are getting fair, honest and educated comments about life's most meaningful topics. This is TV.

sorry to say, but both comments are 'off topic': "A Sailor And 10 Military Police Assaulted Shop Owner"

on TV truth-facts-fair-honest-educated are most likely to be 'off topic'

  6. ...I think the political reform by the Yingluck government to pass a law that excludes all Thai's convicted in a Thai court for political corruption

to never be able to have their convictions set aside by any type of Amnesty...

That's how a Democracy works, the majority rules...

we don't understand your sentence about "political reform by the Yingluck government". she wanted an amnesty for her criminal brother at any price.

THAT started this whole protest with many red-shirts from issan protesting too

its NOT democracy if a billionaere buys himself as many parties & PMs as he can & buys most votes through corruption gets a majority

and the opposition who is lesser corrupt & buys lesser votes stays the minority forever. thailand needs education more than money bribes

the oldest political party in thailand are the democrats http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democrat_Party_%28Thailand%29

never dissolved by the courts for corruption and/or vote buying. compare that with tax-sin & the many bought new parties. none survived for long

their first serious crime was a bill which allwed the tax-sinner to evade taxes he owed to the poor thai rice-farmers

his biggest scam was corruption on a grand scale through an extremely expensive rice scheme, while the poor still wait for the promised riches

his last crime was the attempt to be pardoned for all his crimes through an amnesty at any price, upsetting even his own red-shirts

THATs NOT how a democracy should work: a fugitive rich criminal rules from dubious dubai or cambodia

  7. Democratic party wants to boycot elections because they know alread they're not gonna win. How undemocratic.

Although i strongly disagree with peu thai party. What happened here the last few weeks was a farce to democracy

the democratic party is NOT against fair elections. what happened since tax-sin "was a farce to democracy"

the protesters are protesting corruption! are YOU FOR corruption? corrupted elections are "a farce to democracy"

and should NOT happen, all true democratic people should boycott them (Capt. Boycott 1880)

disappeared/deleted without any reason by red shirts! here it comes again! and don't tell me its not about boycott corruption...

  8. ...the way to ovoid the truth about yourself is to attack, with no evidence, those who you consider are your 'enemy'....

Don't forget the reason why Central World burnt was beause Mr S and his handlers had turned off the power and the water so the sprinkers COULDN'T work -

there is doubt it was the red-shirts anyway.

what a joker! just read these 2 sentences! where is the evidence for his hateful totally unbiased inflammatory attack?

we always thought something is burnt beCause somebody puts fire on it. we now know who YOU consider YOUR 'ENEMY'

so many foreigners are backing Suthep (Mr S is wrong spelling of a name says metisdead) because of his 'enemies' like YOU!

  9. ...supporting the real crooks. (Army and Elite)

you say the army are "crooks"? you'd better don't do that

if you insult the royal army, you insult especially the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces

the supreme commander has just 'invited' suthep on Saturday "to find a way out for Thailand"

he may have invited tax-sin too if he was no tax-sinner & fugitive criminal. this is why so many foreigners backing suthep

suthep meets thai top brass: http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/12/12/us-thailand-protest-idUSBRE9BA16120131212

  10. Yes, the Amnesty Bill was ill-conceived, short-sighted, and an attempt to get Thaksin back to Thailand.

A lot of people INCLUDING those not aligned with the Democrats demonstrated strong opposition to this bill, and it was dropped...

the protesters who want some kind of vague solution that they can't even define...

why do you support a protest that demands something that is completely and totally against the constitution and has no basis in law?

many foreigners back suthep, because his enemies post nonsense like above:

    1. "the amnesty bill was dropped" while in fact it was only put on hold by the senat for only 180 days

    2. "vague solution they can't even define"? they have clear legal demands: oust corrupt undemocratic puppets & criminals

    3. "totally against the constitution and no basis in law?" HOW can you know that if its alledgedly "vague & undefined"

it is totally legal & well defined in the laws to be against corruption, against criminals & against a goverment from exile in dubai

btw: you cannot just 'drop' a bill. real democracy needs a new bill, which overrides the old bill & clearly says: there will be NO amnesty for corruption

that is a clear demand of the protesters, not 'vague' like the blanket amnesty even for murderers to get away with murder

it should anyway not begin earlier than with the occupation of the airport 5 years ago, not 10 years like proposed by the puppets

"Hey, I really don't understand why some foreigners go to protest against the government ?

It is not their country, they don't have the right to vote or anything else, then why do they join the protesters ??"

MAYBE they are AGAINST CORRUPTION? and want to support democracy & thais! protest is a basic democratic right!

are YOU FOR CORRUPTION? against democracy? against the poor uneducated thais?

  12. Well, since the US usually supports the bad guys, around the World, I am leaning more and more towards supporting the Democrats on this. ;-)

An endorsement for Yingluck, from Obama, doesn't' mean much, in my eyes

You seem to be as others on this thread reading something that is not there.

The US statement is supporting Thailand and democracy not either group who is currently screwing it over.

most posters on TV agree that there is much more corruption in thailand than 'democracy'

if the "US expresses strong support for Thailand" it is NOT for a thailand how it should be, but for the government how it really IS! so in fact

the US expresses nothing else but their "strong support" for corruption & the corrupt thai government & their dubious puppet-master in dubai

or does anyone here really believe that the US & their spying NSA does NOT know about all this?

please read THAT roadman, 'the evil is always & everywhere' & it is HERE in thailand right now, with strong support by the US

  13. I think you should go and live together with Suthep in North Korea, enjoy dictatorship, that's what you are hoping for.

"I think you should go and live together with Suthep in North Korea, enjoy dictatorship, that's what you are hoping for"

again a post perfectly on topic: "Thailand's EC sees chance snap election 'might not happen" because NOT deleted by the strict moderators

thank you moderators for really being so selective & choosy - perfect example of a perfect democrazy - elections not happen...

hoping that this time you like & share my opinion, thank you again

  14. ...a massive red shirt uprising against the military...somebody has to be the caretaker...

you mean "a massive red shirt uprising against the military" like in 2010, when they tried to burn down bangkok & sacrificed dozens?

yinglack without luck could easily resign & install any successor as caretaker, as long as his name is NOT shinawatra

  15. Don't know what you have been eating or smoking, but it must be strong.

another post perfectly on topic: "US expresses strong support for Thailand after House dissolution"

was also wondering what "strong" the US "have been eating or smoking" to support criminals. is this the US culture?

didn't they "express strong support for" saddam hussein for many years? and for osama? watch out ying without luck!

  16. Bender, are you currently participating in a Bender at the moment? Sup up, have another one quick, I would hate your wit and repartee to whither away

come on, dont tell me that your next move will to not allowed sane people to express their point of view?

You lose all time, and you will lose again, anywhere, at the urne, on the street, on the forum

Usually, after a couple of beers, I can read almost anything, and either nod in appreciation, or shake my head in desperation.

But can someone translate this one for me please.

bender seems to be a german, where 'urne' is a word for a ballot-box http://www.dict.cc/?s=urne

he may not even understand the english slang 'bender' 55555

  17. ...blahblahblahblah.....

IF their is some problem with their party, so my little advice, leave the party and make a new one!

ps: you are completely weird, no logic at all!

give another greedy & corrupt policeman the chance to ransack thailand & pocket billions

he'll buy a completely new party himself fully furnished with at least 300+ other greedy & corrupt politicians (hard to find?)

who immediately will be 'elected' by poor uneducated corrupt & greedy voters whom he promises to get rich.

THAT was the complete tax-sin logic plus he is used to choose his cronies for stupidity & obedience

do you think the royal army would act against the will of the king? who reminded them a few days ago that

the leaders of the armed forces should "...focus on doing their duties … which are the security and stability of the country..."

do you really believe, that picking yinglack again is good for "the security and stability of the country"?

  18. ...nobody trusts her anymore and nobody wants her to lead the country anymore... Democrats, if you don't win for 23 years in a row...

that's proof that the shin-tax-sin-clan does want NO peace & they are corrupt & greedy thru & thru

that's proof that the democrats did not use any corruption for at least "23 years in a row"...

  19. A nonsensical post and a reply to it removed.

why should a retired couple both apply for a retirement visa each with the above mentioned problems? nonsensical!

why do they use a joint account which even doubles the problems from B800,000 to 1.6 millions? nonsensical!

solutions: only one of them applies for retirement visa, the other one for a follower visa. THATs sensible, pragmatic & easier

they both can have as many bank accounts as they wish, eg one personal account each PLUS a joint account if needed

sounds reasonable & NOT in the slightest "nonsensical" if you don't wanna slight someone

  20. ...Section 30 of the Thai constitution: Part 2 Equality

Section 30. All persons are equal before the law and shall enjoy equal protection under the law. Men and women shall enjoy equal rights.

Unjust discrimination against a person on the grounds of the difference in origin, race, language, sex, age, disability, physical or health condition, personal status, economic or social standing, religious belief, education or constitutionally political view, shall not be permitted.

Measures determined by the State in order to eliminate obstacle to or to promote persons’ ability to exercise their rights and liberties as other persons shall not be deemed as unjust discrimination under paragraph three.

A challenge to the nationality act that gives foreign wives of Thai men almost instant citizenship was made on the same basis of the same clause of the 1997 constitution but was shot down by the court as not being discriminatory because it was based upon national security.

even the different entrance fees for thais & farangs presumably are NOT based on difference in origin or economic standing, just "based upon national security"
