  1. Yesterday alone, foreign investors sold Thai shares worth Bt10.2 billion against purchases of Bt5.9 billion, resulting in net sales of Bt4.28 billion. This followed the Bt3.3 billion in net sales on Tuesday and over Bt1 billion on Monday. The year-to-date net-sell has ballooned to Bt123.95 billion. Global funds have also pulled some investment from Thai equities this month.

  3. Commendable thinking and it is important that you follow your beliefs. However, it is rather dramatic to think that a child born out of wedlock would bring shame on a house. Having a luuk krung might but, unless you are a Bangkok Hi-so, illegitimacy is unlikely to.

You do, of course, realise that your wife is more likely to be looked down on for marrying a Farang. It is apparently a commonly held view that she is unable to attract a Thai husband and has 'dropped down' to marry a Farang.

Odd really, given the likelihood that you will provide far more security for her than a Thai could do - but that's how it is.

Absolute <deleted> my friend..... Unless opinion differs from village to village. To attract a farang is a major coup for a family. Marriage is fantastic for them--- especially if you are a decent bloke and not an alcoholic washes up knob end like a lot are. The young Thai blokes hate farang-- we are taking their women--- saying that, the fact that we have a job and work hard for our money is a concept that is foreign to people sitting under a tree all day smoking and drinking....

  4. ]Well, they have a falang to take care of their daughter now( and them I suspect they think!). The full works mate, slaughtered pig etc. however, maybe this will change as time goes by however they seem very excited that their oldest daughter is to to have a farang baby and husband..

  5. My marriage will be registered. I land in 2 weeks and we have made arrangements to go and speak to authorities. I am getting old now, 37, and I want that old fashioned married with kids lark... I believe it's all down to the individuals like in England and Australia... You can't stereotype a race based on a few examples...my g/f's family are over the moon I proposed.... I didnt have to.. But I wanted to.... ;)

  6. I am looking for some advice on who are the best contacts in Thailand for employment. I have over 16 years project management/ HSE experience and have recently qualified as an offshore/Industrial medic in Australia. The problem follows..... My Thai gf of two years has just told me that she is expecting our child... I have a house etc in Buriram however I am finding it really hard to get a break. I am well qualified, have impeccable references and I am a hard worker... Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I now want to make the move to Thailand.... Thanks
