I need a charger because I we always let my battery go bad by leaving the switch on over night. We only need a little charge to get it going.

I sometime wonder about the people who post on this site as I have lived in Pattaya for 16 years and have visited Immigration many many times. I have had small and a couple of large problems and were always handled very efficiency an quickly. The immigration personnel who helped me were always friendly and very helpful. I have never seen any of the negative stuff that is talked about on this site.

I'm not at all offended by the word. No one has ever addressed me as farang!

There is not enough parking at the regula parking at Suvanabhumi AP busy times, cars are parked all over the place, sometime it is hard to pass between the double parkers. Do they have any plans to increase the size of the parking lots. I go on short trips and a lot of times cannot find a parking place and you still have to pay if you have not found a parking space in 15 minutes. Just wonderful!

What dirty tree shagger, man was just having little fun!!!

Very nicely done, I agree with Asainrider, Novid and Laislica, the little high jinks around the tree was unnecessary. Merry Christmas and a Happy New to all.
Great lip sink ladies a few of you dudes did okay also. Keep up the happy spirit for 2016.

How about fixing the sidewalks and standardizing the way the vendor shops look?
Like what they have done in Korea
Looks too sterile and no soul or Asian spirit. Hope this never catches on in BKK!!
And how Thailand should look something like:
This look is just not asia, lets hope this just disappears into the sunset of time.

SHELL always seems to have lots of problems. It happened twice to me now that the pump was not reset to zero before they started pumping. And when I complained with Shell customer service I got a lame excuse.
I avoid Shell as much as I can while spending over 10.000 on gasoline a month
It is not a problem, it is robbery, I have had this happen to me with my bike, and my vehicles. I now jump out of my vehicle and look at the meter before they start pumping gas. It has happened to me at shell, texico and other places if you do not catch them in time. The last time at shell I jumped out just as the guy was adding the 100B to the meter and I called him on it and he got mad as a jack rabbit. You know they are going to rip you off when they direct you to where they want you to park for gas so you cannot see what they are doing. My wife never catches them and don't know if she even cares as she never looks at what they are doing. I tell her to never let them under the hood, start pumping gas without her checking the meter. I know she doesn't when she is alone. Just my 2 cents!!!!!

Something needs to be done to have vendors controlled. They set up anywhere they like , on Silom road you cant walk at midday .
This is kind of interesting as every time I visit BKK I go to Silom and don't find moving freely along the walkway impeded by the vendors. BTW every time I travel from the BTS down to Patpong there is always a large man in a wheel chair and he seems to do okay also, I believe he has a booth of his own in the area. Anyway enough said on my part, I would not like to see them removed!!

I like the vendors being outside, keeps the feel of south east Asia. I do believe there should be a clearway for pedestrains and wheelchairs. I am sure most vendors would not have a problem with this.
Right on, I like the street vendors as they are the soul of SEA. I would not like to see them totally removed and for those who don't like them travel in areas where they are not set up (upcountry)? Just joking I agree they should have room to let people traverse the sidewalk easily. I VOTE against removal!!!!

Well now, I read all 22 pages(533 posts) and have been some what educated on the merits of an announcement that almost no one agrees with. Some are calling it conservative others are calling it liberal and most of you are just commenting on it. My thing is to wait and see and no matter what the outcome it will not affect me very much. I have all but stop drinking and only have a beer occasionally, my wife threatens me all the time that she will do me great bodily harm if I go to any bar girl bars. So being a lot liberal and sometime conservative I find all the comments interesting and troubling, so will not respond to any of them. I guess my point is if this does happen it will not change one thing that I do here and am prepared to go with the flow. But want to thank all for your words and wit on this matter, it did set off a firestorm that may or may not be a good thing. I am forever the optimist.

Also, I do not mind these merchants as I like to look at what there is for sale on the street. I do not like going into the regular places as you run into some pretty aggressive people in them. On the street I have never felt harassed by the stall sellers.

I like to do my shopping at night
I like to do my shopping during daylight hours, who wants to carry around a bag of goods when visiting your favorite drinking place at night. Of course if you don't imbibe then it makes sense.

My soc sec payments made to my usa bank. then i transfer as needed to bangkok bank newyork city. have already a bangkok bank account here. easy to transfer. get the funds 2/3 days and pay about us$15 each time. in future i will be doing less frequently but bigger amounts.
I have my money sent to my bangkok bank account in NY and it costs me nothing. I get it here in a couple of days and use my BKKB ATM card and have never had a problem. I use to get really bad exchange rates, but now that has even changed, so am very happy with my BKKB situation right now.

Jokers do come out to play in this kind of situation. A company that is demanding with no understanding of the customers they serve should get a little knowledge by being denied payment. It is they who should be the demons in this matter.

"Amporn said AIS agreed to let her pay by installment, but the farmer insisted she cannot afford it."
Once again a Thai parent refuses to take any responsibility for her child's action. What he attempted to do was illegal and in other countries he would have been arrested and charged as a juvenile for attempting to hack into a business' system. He is 12 years-old and should know right from wrong by this age. Due to the fact that he is a minor, his parents are responsible for his illegal actions. It would not have cost her a single baht to supervise her son, know what he was doing, and teach him how to be responsible for his actions. Of course, this being Thailand, male children can do whatever they please and parents do not interfere.
Not only should she be made to pay the bill, but she should be charged interest on the unpaid amount. This would send a message to parents that their parental responsibility does not end with the birth of their children.
Once again a farang who lives in Thailand who does not understand a thing about Thailand. The mother was a farmer, she bought the kid a phone not knowing how the thing works much less supervising his use of it. The kid being a kid was trying out his new phone not knowing much about it himself, but enough to cause the mischief. I say the company is wrong letting a bill that large be run up. I agree with the other op throw the thing away and forget about it or just forget about the payment. Not only do you give bad advise, you are wrong. May knowledge be with you. Cheers.

Come on guys, whereustay in disguise, same style, except he did not mention sweating, or if he had weighed her,3 post's ,i am not falling for it,in a wheelchair, this is sinking low even for whereustay,i am sure it is him, check the writing style"i know this is last minute" who the hell say's that unless he is off to see the sweating hi so teacher again,i wonder what his laundry bill is from cleaning those sweat and excretion soaked sheets, come on now whereustay admit it is you.
Does any body understand what marko kok prong is saying. NOT ME. Another poster was right you must have had some kind of understanding with the temp that she would be let go when your steady came back. If she is worth 1000B a day you should tip her about 2000B and wish her well and let her know that if your steady takes another trip you would like to have her come and take care of you again. I know women who would take good care of you for far less than that and do a good job. Things that boggle the mind here always!!!!!!!!!

Never seen one in Isan, but many, many, many in PATTS and BKK.

Sounds normal to me, my girl friend of 8 years has her family visit and they wonder in and out and they never look at me, just sort of bow when walking in front of me. As far as the wedding goes my girl friends sisters daughter has a 14 year old who is promised to a 15 year old and they live together in the mothers house. They had a little ceremony with both families and my girl friend who is the family matriarch was there for family support. All went well and every thing is going along very smoothly. Her and his friends wonder in and out of the house and no one pays them any mind. Trying to change things on moral or any other grounds will not go over well for you, but you have to do what you have to do even if it doesn't work out. It is how things are.
In my girl friends village a farang caused a real problem when he went against the village culture and now they all want him out of their area. He has a new house that he just built, so is pretty much stuck. Don't know how he gets out of this problem, only his wife is sticking by him, her mother and father is not nor is any other members of the family. Bad situation to be in.

Had a guy come up to me for a donation to himself, said he was hungry and needed it He looked to be middle eastern also. I gave him 40Baht. He was not aggressive, but did seem desperate.

Misspelled word.
I use to like viewing for sale things on Facebook, but I can no longer do it because I have been blocked by them because of things I know nothing about. Shame. I go to search and find better sales info now.
