we live in the UK and married here,so now she wants to change her ID into her married name (mine) We are in Thailand in March and want to know what documents we need to change her ID card

Got married in the UK, we are now wanting to change her ID card etc, have been told many useless things by different agencies. I phone the Thai embassy in the UK they told me to get my marriage certificate certified by our foreign and commonwealth office, which I have done. Then to get it translated into thai and get it stamped by the thai foreign office, then to the local amphur. Wanted to try and get it done by post, but agencies in bkk are wanting avadavys and all sorts, anyone done it and want did you do
