I saw a similar sized elephant in Kabinburi this weekend being led along the roadside with a rope around the neck and the sharp spike in it's ear.
Surely this behaviour is not necessary looked cruel to me.

In home country I was a regular donor for over 35 years.
I arrived here and went to Red Cross and they said No Thanks to my AB negative blood, "Too Old"
I was just 60 and had donated one month earlier.
So if over 60 don't bother trying never mind how fit you are or how many units you have donated.

Mt Thai girlfriend, now wife has travelled with me to SA on many occasions.
If you are travelling separately, she will need proof of adequate funds to support herself during her stay.
Also she should have:
A letter from you saying that you will be responsible for all her expenses during the holiday
A copy of all hotel bookings, showing her name
Pity that you are not travelling together would make entry more simple.
Enjoy your holiday

On a similar vein.
Why do people (Vets) not sterilize dogs in Thailand?
In my home country unless you are a registered breeder, or farmer all dogs must be neutered by first year.
Otherwise a big fine.
Very few stray dogs seen in streets.

That is not a yacht but a poor cabin cruiser, certainly not luxurious.
A yacht traditionally has a mast and sails.
Yachts need highly qualified skipper and crew to sail .

From my experience looks like the few caterpillars you have taken off they have munched some leaves, there will be many more you cannot see that are affecting the growth of the plant. Spray with a good chemical to eradicate these pests, on monthly basis.
Peeing around the plants is very good, suggested to em by a plant nursery owner many years ago, it really works.
All citrus plants need water more that twice a week, even a small amount each day, I used to use drip irrigation on my orchard back in the old country and had fantastic crops of all citrus fruits.
Good luck

Why on earth would anybody want a manual car in 2016.
The sooner they are completely off the market, the better.
The automatic transmissions are so good these days and many models now come out with semi manual, also a bonus.
Try the MG3 it is MAGIC !

Similar problem with farm dogs in South Africa.
Parasitic infections are notoriously difficult to eradicate.
Only continuous cycles of medication, shots and pills, without a break for the parasites to gain strength once again, will cure this.
If lifetime mediation is necessary this is better than the constant itching.
Good luck.

Poster is correct anybody over the age of 50 is not accepted as a blood donor in Thailand.
I have been donating blood every 5 weeks for over 40 years and when I arrived in Bangkok to make a donation I was told,"Too old".
End of story.
My I wish you luck in finding your blood group and have a full recovery and enjoy the rest of your holiday.

It is sad that the Thai Red Cross do not accept blood donations from older people.
I have been a blood doner in other countries for many many years and am AB+ not a common blood type.
When I settled here 5 years ago in my first month I went to donate and was told, "Sorry sir, too old."
That was that.
Many of us older lads are quite ft and able too donate good blood, why reject it due to advanced years?

Whatever happened to the "I have a diver down" flag?
All divers in open water should have a float with "Diver Down" flag.
Motor boats should proceed with caution in this area.

Dogs are dogs NOT birds, they should NEVER EVER be kept in cages.
First duty is to have dog neutered (spayed) so no trouble-some male dogs sniffing around and unwanted puppies. Enough dogs here
Dogs respond very well to love and tender care and rewards but do not respond well to aggression.
Never beat a dog, a harsh word is enough.
Some of the above house training tips are very good.
Enjoy your dog and remember only one pack leader for your dog.

I had this Blepharoplasty 18 months ago on recommendation from Eye specialist as my eyelids were drooping making vision difficult.
I did a lot of research and was impressed with PAI (Preecha Aesthetic Institute) in Soi Tong Lor. meeting all my requirements.
Doctor who saw me (name escapes me) was most professional of all I went to. He is Thai and trained in USA.
He agreed upper lids required doing and suggested removing fat bags from lower.
Procedure done under local anesthetic with no discomfort.
Recovery time about 1 week before I was out and about now almost forgotten about it.
Total cost was TB 30,000
I would recommend PAI to anybody as being 100% professional and I am very happy with the result.
Good luck

Yes a Credit Card is possible I have one, no problem, just leave a deposit of TB 100 000 then your limit will be TB 100 000.
Simple.
I have no work permit an no pension, just on retirement visa.
I also have Thia bank DEBIT CARD simple and just as useful as a credit card, this I use on a daily basis and no charges at STM's.

Hi,
I have used Moon River, opposite Terminal 21.
I found Je-vay very honest and reliable.
He made my wedding suit and other items.
His choice of fabrics is international and well priced.
My late dad was a Saville Row tailor so I was brought up with quality tailoring and that is what I received at Moon River at a good price.
All work done on the premises.
His measurements are spot on and he listens to special requests.
Good luck, I will be there again next month.

Hi,
I went too Panang to get my Education visa. Very easy.
Most important is to check and re-check your documentation form the school.
I went to Language Express in Ploen Chit, very professional job they did but the "Authorities" messed up some of my papers and being in Thai I could not pick it up.
So get a knowledgable Thai reader to check it for you in minute detail.
So check and recheck or it is a trip out of the country wasted.
Good luck

Hi,
My sympathies, it is not nice, I had it badly in 1989 and have lived to tell the tale.
I was in a coma for 2 months and a very weak stick man (thin) for 5 months and had to take life very easy.
I gave up all alcohol and fatty foods for 18 months.
But now I am fine and not a carrier of the virus.
So do not worry life goes on very happily.
Try and find the cause it is not only sexually transmitted
Mine was contracted from the dentist I visited (not in Thailand).
Good luck

Yes, it is open.
I did my 90 day report yesterday and then found that Lad Prao is now open so will use that office in future,
Yesterday I was in and out within 30 minutes arriving at 9.25 am.
Really efficient and friendly staff I presume they were working quickly to assist the many people there.
A smile works wonders there I received a hand-shake when I left.
-
I think we will need to keep our eyes on the immigration website this week to see if they decide to open Lad Prao again.
Lad Prao is open now so recommemd you go there but go this week not next

A farang dating a 20 year old Thai lady should know that he needs months of patience.
If he wants a quick start relationship that may or may not last try a few bar girls then you will get the instant gratification you are looking for.
Thai ladies are by nature conservative and take a long time to give trust, many months not weeks, so if you are prepared to wait and show your commitment you may be in for a good thing, otherwise look elsewhere.
I have been down the long road and am now very happy indeed.

I normally see the beach from the other side, i.e. from a boat near the beach.
Most beaches here, near to resort town are too polluted swim in.
