  1. When the article says "tailbone" I assume they mean "coccyx" - e.g. were they operating on the spine?

Why was this woman not being operated on at home?

What had been the advice from her GP/consultant in UK?

Was she aware of how dangerous a general anaesthetic can be?

it is not a surgery for the coccyx... this clinic offers only cosmetic surgery...

what i'm wondering about is, how come the surgical team never noticed her vital signs dropping coz from their statements, they just said she couldn't be roused after the surgery so they called the police

  2. if OP would just take into consideration the cost of living in Thailand vs the cost of living in a 1st world country in relation to the salary, working here isn't that bad.. plus, face it, farangs who are earning below the legal salary required for their nationality may not have the right qualifications for their job, they are most probably just hired for their looks or their accent...

  3. I'm a Filipino and from home schooling to my university education, the only subject taught in Tagalog among the schools I attended was Filipino. All our textbooks, including Philippine History, were written and discussed in English. I studied in a Catholic School, a regional highschool, a state university, and another private university so I technically had a taste of private and public education in my country. Bottom line is, we are not just taught to use the language, we are trained.

  4. As a Filipina, I find some comments offensive but true, yes this happens in the Philippines, but not everyone is like that.. most of us have decent jobs... As for the girl, decent Filipinas wouldn't go out with a man she met once and have an all-expense paid trip somewhere, most of us maybe outgoing but the idea of being with someone you've only met once and spending 2 weeks with him/them without anything on her own is not something smart women will do, regardless of their nationality... again, my brother got denied once, and i told him he's stupid... for your friend... you already know that....

  5. Ok, im a filipina and i'm working here in Thailand, my brother went home to the Philippines but he's actually based in US with the rest of my family... He decided to visit me here in Thailand during his vacation in the Philippines, but he also got refused to enter this country... He was asked to show supporting papers and pocket money, and when he showed them that, they asked him for an invitation letter.. the following day, he booked another ticket, and he got through, no questions... point is, it's not just for women travelling with their farang bfs, or just women in general, it happens to everyone....

We Filipinos are not very sure about this law as well because it seems like it just depends on your luck... i also came here on tourist visa, (im sure i don't look hi-so when i passed through the immigration), but they didn't ask me anything, i found a job, i processed my non-b visa here, and i'm now happily living here for more than a year...
