After contracting dengue, I found Mo-El 300 UV-A Lamps Electroinsecticides manufactured in Italy!
UV-A emissions from actinic lamps attract mosquitoes/insects. They are electrocuted by the internal grid and fall at the bottom of the appliance. Grid is self cleaning. Ideal for small size environments.
Leave it on all day in downstairs great room area and hear the demise of the invaders throughout day and especially at daybreak. Purchased on Soi 112 in Hua Hin at an awnings store for 4000 Baht.

Thailand misses out on the expertise of many retired expats with their restrictions on volunteerism! Many opportunities to teach leadership, creativity, management and entrepreneurship with talented expats! It would be a double-win for Thailand and the expats!

Remember the map to your home to preclude delays!

Party Pooper Alert! 4 beers per night =28 beers per week! 4-6 beers spread over the week has many health benefits! However 4 beers per evening is bordering on binge drinking (4 in Australia & 5 in America)! Other recommendations are no more than 1 alcoholic drink for women daily and 2 for men! Since you asked and are interested in a healthy lifestyle-Carpe Vitam!

Hitch-hiking on the 90 day reporting, if I may! The Bluport office in Hua Hin is amazing! Comparing and contrasting with the Soi 19 immigration office, the service and assistance at Bluport is a 10 on scale. Congenial and friendly service actually taking the time to explain any challenges. The customer service board there was awash with kudos!

Hitch-hiking on the question if I may! Is there an agency in Hua Hin that assists in securing a visa for the USA by completing paperwork and apprising of things you need to know?
I recently paid an agency in Bangkok to assist in getting my Filipina fiance into Australia. The trip to Australia (although they did not stamp her passport with ink) I believe assisted her in getting approval to enter New Zealand.
As far as your interaction with the USA Embassy, on my visits I have noticed a lack of precision in expat assistance.

NeverSure,
Great info on South Dakota. I will visit them in the spring when I return to the USA! Many Thanks!

USA2ME in Houston is very good! Texas is an income free state also. Using my sister's mailing address prior to USA2ME, the state she lived in wanted me to pay taxes on my retirement income for using her mailing address as a mail forward only!

iHerb purportedly ships here but customs could get involved according to iHerb!
Lazada ships free but difficult to get refunds on poor quality products you may receive.

A new store just opened in Chiang Mai and a video tour was done on Facebook. The store is amazing in size and quality and pricing. Any chance Hua Hin is in the plans for one?

Great question JJ. I watch the motorcyclists(both riders and passengers) without helmets and only about 1 in 10 have sunglasses on.
This is my anecdotal study for the month of September!

Scheduled 4 property chill weekends in Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Belize from USA. Made it to Panama and Ecuador. Flight challenges out of Atlanta and Nashville resulted in not seeing CR or Belize. Now have been living in Hua Hin area since 2013. I was going to go to Boquete, Panama for 30 days in September/15 but changed my mind when I saw the issues people were having there with crime. Boquete is beautiful with ideal temps year round. But recently there have been home invasions, burglaries, robberies according to commenters on expat forum. So much so neighborhood watches have been formed. Based upon what I read there I canceled my trip to determine if I wanted to live there versus Hua Hin. I have committed to Thailand.

Pickleball, the game that has taken active adults by storm in Canada and the US is a cross between tennis, table tennis and played on a court the size of a badminton court with paddles and a plastic wiffle ball. The paddle is the size of an overgrown table tennis paddle that can be made of graphite, alloy, composite or even wood. The game can be played indoors or outdoors. The ball is made of plastic and perforated to allow air flow.
The game is converting many older tennis players because it is much easier on the joints and most games are doubles. It is now being played in the Masters games in the US.
The game can be seen played on Youtube.
I am hoping that we can entice many of the active expats wanting to play at the indoor badminton courts (lowered nets) in Hua Hin.
Thanks for reading!
Living in Thailand you're better off ordering from Amazon instead of eBay

Ali Express has far exceeded customer service of Lazada. Lazada and Ali Express are both owned by Alibaba. For some reason, the skills of Ali Express, a sister company, have not been conveyed to Lazada.
