  1. New expressway on the Chon Buri highway ready to open for the new airport near the Lat Krabang Industrial estate (no toll ways as yet though).

Many new housing projects around Lat Krabang area 10mins from new airport prices starting from 2.5.million on the Floraville development.

New airport is planned to open new year....so I have heard??

  2. My son is currently 16 months old. My problem is at the moment both my self and his mother are very busy at work and any quality time is spent from 6pm onwards. Through the day he is taken care off by a nanny whom is a friend of the wifes, my concern is that he is just being exposed to the Thai language (which is not a problem) as the nanny is Thai. What I would like for him is to also have a strong Enhglish one aswell (the best of both worlds).

Can anybody recommend any good reasonably priced pre schools?

    Prices?

    Age of acceptance?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Am I correct in thinking that if you have managed to legitimately set up a paypal account in the UK, then you subsquently move to Thailand, Paypal will disallow you access to your own account as it will recognise a 'foreign' IP address.

I think maybe you will be ok, if there is a problem with the ip address in thailand, keep your ip address in the Uk, and log onto it from Thailand, that does work, as i tried it in a internet shop in Buriram, to see if i had any new feedback left me, you can still keep your UK bank account then, transfer your money from Paypal into your UK bank and take it out in Thailand with a ATM Card. be a small charge, if you are selling add a couple of quid to the postage costs to cover this and your commision to paypal.

I checked my paypal account from the same internet shop, if doing this from an internet shop make sure you delete all your details when signing off.

    Thanks for the advice guy's.

If I have a Thai Bank account and credit card then I can set up an ebay account and use pay pal?

Question is :D once I start (hopefully to do business, how do I try transfer my funds from pay pal to a uk bank account if I can not transfer them to Thailand. Sorry for sounding :o but this is the first time I would have used pay pal.

  4. George do you think that is good news for small to mindium size companies. I am just in the process of estabishing my own company in Asia based here. Specialising in print, prepress and brand managment.

Marketing has become a problem as most blue chips go for the cheapest option although they may not be the best, it seems good quality fall into second place.

  5. Where is a good palce to enjoy a fine doner kebab just like the ones in the UK.....looked everywhere. The nearest I have found is around Suk soi 3&5, is there any better.

  6. I have heard many stories ranging from "you can get this done for as little as 10000THB" to "You need so many Thai names and you hold a 49% stake and it cost's 100000+"

Basically I just want to register a name so I can legally deal from here if my business takes off and it's so frustrating running into brick walls.

Any advice an the easiest and simplest option not to mention Cheapest for a start up would be greatly appreciated.

  7. I guess its all down to the nationality of the child.

If you had it registered the same nationality as you and followed all of the correct legal procedures upon the child's birth, then it would become a diplomatic issue so it should be doable. If this is the case contact your embassy in BKK and ask for their assistance.

If the kid is registered as a Thai citizen I wish you well but wouldn't hold your breath. I know personally of one instance where it has happened but it took a lot of time and a lot of money.

Is it an easy process? I seriously doubt it.

Try asking member Thomas Merton who is a defender of abandoned children in Thailand by evil farangs.

    Thanks PF

In this case the child holds birth certificates and Passports for both the UK and Thailand.

  8. Cheers SM :o

The deposit is .5 mil which is payable monthly @ 75G.

I have a savings account which I will use as a statement of proof, as I am the guaranture and holder of our money would I still need to submit her staement. The property developer thinks my staements should be fine.

On another note, do you think I would be eligable for a Thai bank loan in my name for home improvements?

    Thanks for the input.

  9. Security deposit on one of these, with the rest of the deposit to be paid in monthly installments. I am married here and I know that I can not out right own the property.

My question is I am working with a full visa and work permit and my wife owns a hawkeer stand selling your local Thai food. Do you think the bank will except our application for the morgage?? The amount BTW is 5mil.

    Cheers
