I find it aggravating how the board is over moderated and too many post are removed, moved or censored. Seriously, you are reading a ost and all of a sudden it is deleted, post disappear and you are like what does he mean? No one said anything about that, but they did it was removed.

I myself Tip, I come from the service business and I also lived in Las Vegas and now in South Florida where a majority of people live on tips. But it is up to you.

BUT do not get upset when you see someone getting better service then you do, I see it all the time when I am in Thailand, guys will complain why does he get special attention and they do not, well it is simple, he tipped and earned that right. Some will say he paid for it and it can be looked at it that way but do not complain that you do not get the same attention, from the server that always gets him his order fast, to the line he cut going into the clubs or the table full of girls at the beer bar as you are sitting there alone.

When in Thailand I will admit I do not tip the same as I do here, this because of the prices being different for foreigners but I still do tip the food cart people, taxi and tuk tuk drivers all depending on the service they provided.

What really pisses me off is when the drunk at the bar yells out don't give them anything extra, it is none of their business.

But this reminds me of a scene from a movie, it is a bit crude but still funny.

You should have walked out the second they said same same but different. The only laser that can remove a tattoo quickly is a r20 laser, and with that it will still be a few months for modern tattoos, home made or traditional Thai tattoos it may make it 50% after the first session which would be equal to 2 - 4 sessions with other lasers. I was trying to open a tattoo removal studio in Florida USA but you need to be a doctor or a nurse practitioner in this state but most states just a 5 day class.

If you really want to know the best way is to stop by and ask, not as easy as asking a bunch of BM who have no idea.

Thailand should do like some other poor countries do, the only ones allowed in the casinos are the worker, like Paradise Island in the Bahama's. The exceptions would have to prove they could afford the loses. They can make 3 or 4 "Resort locations" with limited licenses, say 2 or 3 resorts in Pattaya, and the same in Bangkok and Phuket. This would create well over 10,000 long term jobs directly, good paying ones at that.

Hangover II - I thought it was funny and did enjoy it.

Bangkok Dangerous - Not a big fan of Nickolas Cage but I still liked it. Didn't know till today that this is a remake of a Thai Language movie

Bangkok Adrenaline _ thought it was silly and low budget but some parts cracked me up.

Bangkok Revenge - Jon Foo is amazing, very entertaining but that is about it.

So who has a list of good ones?

The Hangover is a comedy not a documentary, it is meant to be funny which it was, I laughed so hard during the ladyboy scene I almost pissed myself.

Now Bangkok Dangerous was just ok, a action movie not a documentary again, meant to entertain not educate you. Watch them for what they are not what you want them to be.

I am not deaf but I do have problems with hearing everything. Took a job when I was young building Jet Engine test pads, we build the first one then they used it as we built the other 5, 10 hrs a day wearing ear plugs and ear muffs like on a gun range and still heard the dam engines, they were so loud that you were sore, felt like someone was beating on your chest all day, you would still hear them with the double ear protection. We would scream at the top of our lungs 2 inches from each other with the ear plugs out and couldn't hear what you were saying.

I downloaded Teach yourself Thai and was looking at highspeedthai.com, I think these are better then getting frustrated with the girl.

I do not hear great and not real good with tones. In English it is not that important but when I think I am saying exactly like she does she tells me I am not. (So frustrating) I can not hear the difference in some of the tones so it all sounds the same to me.

will this get better or will I just hope to talk like a person with a strong accent that is just learning the language. I see it all the time with people learning English, some people after 40 years in America still speak with broken English, I am starting to think I will be one of those people but trying to speak broken Thai.

Good sales people don't need to lie. You can hardly call it good sales when they lost two regular customer. I would call that stupidity. I guess you agree with the jet ski scams to who only think about the money they scam off the one or two customers they get per day instead of an honest trade that would have tourist lined up the beach to use them. No one is lying, they lost 2 custmomers as you say. Say they have 100 Farang customers and do this to them all and 20% leave, they still have 80% of those customers paying more, it will more then make up for the 20% of lost customers. The reason to open a business is to make the most money not make friends.

The Jet Ski Scam is just that a scam, they charge you for damage you did not do so not the same, even a fool should know the difference.

I have sold 5 people the same exact thing in the same week and charged 5 different prices, started off at a few different prices. No one claims that to be immoral, it is how business is done. Just because in the US and other well off countries it is not standard practice to negotiate on small items like coffee or a plate of food doesn't mean it is wrong.

As it being racist it is in a way but done every where world wide. I get a older Jewish person from NY I treat them different then if I get a Mexican couple from East LA. Not because of the color of the skin but because they negotiate different. I know that most Jewish couples will fight me about the over all price as most Mexican couples will fight me for just the monthly payment.

There is NO law that you have to post the price and can charge what ever the consumer will pay. They are not "lying" you asked them a price and they told you what they wanted, plan and simple. If you do not like the price you have options,

1) pay the price

2) negotiate the price you want to pay

3) go some where else

4) get on a internet forum and bitch and complain about it as you look for people to agree with you and get pissy when they do not.

Seems like you chose option 4 and seem to think you are smart by your insults.

If it were me I would just buy the coffee that I liked better. You always have the option to just hand the first cart the baht he charges everyone else, they will take it and move on.

What are the laws against gambling? I see every where people selling lottery tickets, I go into bars and they have horse racing forms right there in the open. So to say gambling is illegal in Thailand is not 100% correct. I even remember a few years ago there was talk that Thailand's government was visiting Las Vegas looking into opening Vegas Style casinos to boost tourism and revenue.

What are the fines and penalties for gambling, and what are the fines and penalties for book making and running a gambling house? Is it a slap on the wrist like in so many areas here in the US or is it the type of crime that they throw you in jail for longer then 10 years?

With all the online gambling sites it isn't hard to place a bet on anything. I live in Las Vegas where you can bet on just about anything anytime and people still use bookies and play poker in private games, bookies are illegal but the private games are not as long as no rake is taken. The Bookies use online sites to book the bets but they are not really online sites since you play on credit and are paid or pay in person, the sites just took the place of phone operators.

BTW FSU opened a -7.5 they are going to win by 20+ so that is the bet

I have been using an app for my phone to count calories. I try to use it every time I put any food in my mouth so it is accurate. Right now I am eating between 1600-2000 calories a day, losing about 5 lbs a week. Also it has a exercise link, you put in what you are doing, for me I walk 4 miles in 1hr 6 minutes so I enter 66 minutes of 3.5 mph+ walk and it tells me how many calories I am burning off, good when you go over on your calories for the day, you know you need to hit the streets.
