  1. I've used it 3-4 times a week for about 20 years. Never had any side effects (I think drowsiness is one), it works quickly and in Thailand is remarkably cheap. I've got around a thousand tablets still (stocked p before we left the 'kok). I find that one is enough a day, never had to take them every couple of hours, so, in my opinion they are great.

  2. Fascinating thread. I would like to add my experience with a mooncup. Kudos to anyone who can use them. I ordered mine off the net, the website is all glowy and soft and alternative. It arrived in a lovely little bag with drawstrings and an inspiring message on it. Putting it in was OK, getting it out All I can say is that I thought my pelvic bones were being dragged out of my vag. Ouch. I did persevere and it did get better, but still removal. Ouch

  3. Little muppet, not sure where in the shadows is located, but my friend had her daughter's ears pierced at Samitivej hospital, soi 49 to ensure no infections took hold. The girly was 5 when she had it done and no pain ensued. Bite the bullet :o

  4. OK, Zorro1, but I do think your response of where was Pumpuiman when you went through that was a bit off. I am just going to observe now that I've taken it so far off topic.

  5. Heartfelt apologies pumpuiman, it should have been Zorro1 on the receiving end of my ire.

Back on topic, I do think that you ought to wait a while to meet someone else MacB, you said in one of your posts that you wanted to find someone to love and love you in return. I'd give it some time before you set out along that path again.

  6. For what it's worth, I think you have to decide if you love your wife or not. If you can live without her. Go. You did mention some time ago that your daughter had a British passport. Take her to the Uk for Christmas and reasses the situation in the newyear. Get her out of an atmosphere of hostility as soon as possible.

Pumpuiman, you should be shot. tempting him with a woman who may not even want him. Women are not commodoties :o

  7. To all those who said live and let live. Well done. To the others, try to put yourselves in their place. So what if the individual was carrying on in the TT offices. people do. I get very aireated but I am not transgendered.

If you are reading this Sandy, you should try longer skirts, that length is about 10 years out of date. Get a few knocked up at the tailor. I have horrendous trouble buying clothing. 180 cm tall and built like the side of a barn and I am a woman. :o

  8. I need to get our more I think. I had forgotten the one I had on my elbow, I was idly twanging it one day :o when I felt it work a bit loose. I continued to dig around it and eventually pulled it out by the root. amazing, it was about 1.5 cm long and tapered somewhat like a parsnip. The crater that was left wouldn't stop bleeding for about 5 hours. I obviously didn't get it all out as I had to see my GP a couple of months later to have it cut out. OUCH! :D

  9. :o 4,000 baht. Bloody hel_l, we've just had one frozen off youngest girl's toe. Two consultations with the doctor and two lots of freezing and the cost was around 1500 baht and this is in Switzerland.

The freezing was painless and effective. The day after the first application it went speckled black and stayed that way so we took her back, froze it again and three days later she had a beautiful, wart free piggy who went to market :D

  10. I think current UK advice is not to start a baby on solids until 6 months. Ours started on baby rice (foul) and progressed to pureed fruit with a small amount of protein - meat/fish/cheese. Anabel Karmel has an excellent book on baby food with recipes etc. This is aimed at a western market though. i would say that as long as you try to keep your child's diet additive (and salt or namh plah) free as far as possible, you can't really go wrong.

They can start FULL FAT cows milk at a year old.

  11. We were lucky with ours, as soon as girl number one reached a year old, it was out with the SMA and in with the dark blue top, girl number two didn't quite reach a year, she was about a week short, but as the tin had run out and it is so expensive comparatively, again, in with the milk from cows. I would second Anabel Karmel, she is a patronising boasty body, but her recipes are nutritionally sound and ours have grown up with them. I think she has a page on the BBC food and drink website that you may want to check out.

  12. Ignoramus, I am not being picky, but hamocromaotosis is not something that can be managed merely by donating blood. It is a disease that affects our family (I am a carrier apparently, my sister and dad sufferers), both my sister and father have to go along once a month for a blood test and then a unit of blood is taken. When it was first diagnosed my dad had to go every week. The worst part of it is the blood can't be used in any shape or form and is disposed of.

  13. I would second the vote for the ancient city. Leave the crocodile farm to those who like to witness animal cruelty. Ancient city is fabulous and as the weather is getting cooler you could take a picnic and rent some cycles. Take along ID and get Thai entry price too. :o
