How many location does Bank of America have in Bangkok? Can a Thai nationality open an account at Bank of America? What I'm trying to do is get one of my relative to open an account at Bank of America, so I can transfer them money without having to pay high fee when wiring money. Thanks.

Wow! The phone is finally in the hands of my relative. Thank God. I didn’t think it would make it to its destination using regular mail. Thanks to all that replies to my forum. Peace!

ShaunJon,
$200/8000bt is dirt cheap for a phone with those specs.
Was it new and where can you buy online for $200?
Nearest spec is 6230 & 6230i for around 13000bt in HK., unless the price has dropped in LoS.
Yes, it's brand new. www.ebay.com

As a matter of interest, did you check to make sure you had sent one that is GSM, not the American system (mental block - can't remember what it's called) as the two are not compatible? Also what band it works on - we have to get tri-band phones here to work in those areas of the USA that have GSM available (not all areas do).
The one I sent was unlocked, and it is compatable with Thai network.

Thailand didn't have the latest model (Nokia 6620). Thats why I sent one from the U.S.

I sent it using air mail. I think it might take a little longer because of the customs.

Yeah, I'm assuming someone is using it right now. The parcel post said it would take 5 to 7 days for it to arrive at the destination.

I used regular post. Phone cost about $200 usd.

Has anyone ever mail a mobile phone to Thailand? If you did, how long does it usually take for it to arrive at the destination (Bangkok)? I sent mine out couple of weeks ago from the U.S to my relative in Bangkok, and it hasn't arrived yet. Do you think the parcel post worker might have taken it? Thanks.

Where is the nearest border visa run location by land from Bangkok? What would the total cost be for the run back and fourth including the visa fees. Thanks.
