she is doing the same as any democratic country would ask. She is the caretaker for the government until she is voted back in by the majority. This will get a lot worse before it gets better. Hopefully the constitutional court will this time ban the entire PTP including yingluck and half the thaksin influenced senate before too much more blood is spilled. No point relying on the army for help on this one, butwe will hear what they have to say at 1pm when they hold their press conference, but I suspect it will just be more crap about remaining neutral.
This madman calls for revolution and you still point at Yingluck? Are you insane or what?
Yingluk is the one who is instating the revolution by not resigning.
Suthip has gone way overboard with his personal attracts and dies not sound like he has the countries interests at heart, only the elite pocket fillers.
Suthep has given many opportunities for her to resign, and still she insists she is right when the people on the street are saying she is wrong. This is a lot like when the people gave the Chaucescu's plenty of warnings, till they pushed it too far and look what happened to them.

It should be the time for Red Shirts to enjoy New Years in Bangkok. They can pay a New Year visit to Suthep house and other members of his gang of thugs.
So you are condoning violence then?

Lol this is fantastic... If westerner leaders should resign just because protesters ask that, each country will change
governmentdictatorship, every 3 months.Maybe thatis what should happen till Thailand ends up with a good one, sort of speeding up the filtering process.

I wish all Thais would realize that this whole idiotic episode is about who gets to control government contracts. Who would die for someone else's pockets? It's definitely not for the plight of freedom and democracy. Btw, the Democrat Party should have their use of the word 'democrat' stripped from them. They are just as bad.
Why? Because they want a clean and non corrupt democratic system??

As the yellows are not going to stop the ongoing activities, I wonder at what point the reds will join the party?
well I think you may find that the reds have had a warning shot that they did not enjoy too much the last time they came visiting. Next time they jump on a load of buses, expect 1 million protesters to be waiting for them.
another peaceful remark by the peaceful protesters..... openly claiming they will create trouble when the thai people come to show their voice.
I say thai people, cause that's something you guys are not, you guys are just a small part of this country, trying to control all the by you called non educated to stupid to vote people.
I hope they won't come though, this country has seen enough blood from your side already, no need to double that.
Of course you haven't yet seen enough blood from red shirts yet no? Of course you are saying that only the reds are 'Thai people'? Of course you are saying that we have no right to comment, via your own comment?

The fact that this officer is begging the media to ignore things that are a serious safety concern for arriving tourists will probably just serve to bring the whole thing into the spotlight with an extra footnote of ...
'Amazing Thailand, your money before your safety'

The American frontier had better qualified sheriffs back in the 19th century. Come to think of it, one Wild Bill Hickok or Wyatt Earp was worth about a couple of thousand RTP.
Yes, but this reeks of premeditated murder.
It is very easy to remove the magazine after the shooting and claim the error.
The police will believe him, he is one of their own.

Hopefully soon we will see Suthep in the photo when he is given the death penalty for the 2010 killings and now the latest killings.
I thought I would help you get your message out clearer to the world by posting this comment and a link to it on Suthep, the PDRC and Abhiait's official facebook pages.

In fact, the Yingluck government had already lost its legitimacy. It should have been declared void when key members publicly declared their defiance of the Constitutional Court ruling against a parliamentary move for an all-elected Senate. This is an act of treason. The Constitution is the highest law of the land and the Constitutional Court's ruling is binding on all government agencies.
Best solution i've heard so far, PTP have polarised the country, abused the law and depleted the resources, throw them out.
Very good point, and I commend you for it.
Don't forget that even though they denied rejecting the CC's judgement they forgot that the PT considered indicting the judges for abuse of power.... hehehe
The best report from The nation in a long time, and the first time I have heard them acknowledge that millions were on the streets.
'Millions of Thais have taken to the streets to demand the removal of her corrupt government from power.'

Health and safety gone mad!
about dam time! the police should have been taking down the demonstrators sooner! by not doing so the protesters became emboldened!
I think you posted in the wrong thread. This one is about journalists, there are loads of others about the protesters v the police.
But as you have posted, i will reply that the police have now changed the stakes. From here on in, they will have to attack all protesters in all the separate gatherings, because the protesters will be much more prepared for an attack and I would assume in some cases heavily armed for a counter attack. Expect to see a lot more casualties. Unless of course you are celebrating seeing the blood and injuries and death.

Looks like if the army are not willing to step in, the constitutional court will instead.
This would be a better outcome, especially if they ban all the politicians and senators with this huge and lets face it schoolboy error of trying to scam their way through parliament on several occasions in a small amount of time in the most unconstitutional way possible. Then threaten to have the members of the constitutional court indicted just because someone had the balls to stand up to them.
I can see mass political bannings coming, and I can see the election consisting of just a few minnows for the people to choose from and that means Thaksin is going to need to dig deep into his pockets to buy out a new set of politicians.

I blame thaksin.not the reds for this one, but I guess you are celebrating anyway, I am talking to you red supporters. They will be enjoying this, both colours of skin. RIP to all those killed, and my condolences to their families. At least they died doing what they thought was a good cause for all Thais. Not just themselves. Remember that.
