  1. Did I just read yesterday the same about Hawaii and Thai Citizens filed suit and won from five companies in Hawaii ? Guess it is time to move the suit to Sweden, I have always held the Swedens in high replact, I am suprised about this.

With reference to the post about the Thai Gentleman working in Taiwan, I do respect those people and hold them in much higher regard than their "Main Land Comrades". I wish China would leave them alone. In 1955 Mao was glad to get rid of them and now they are a financial superpower, China says we never let them go, BS !!

All Swedish nationals should bow their heads in shame, why does their government allow this to happen. bah.gif

These cranberry and blueberry pickers are employed by staffing agencies Thai from Thailand and the Swedish government has set a minimum salary of about 90,000 Thb. per month. But these staffing companies in Thailnd which usually often run by people from east europe and total disregard of Swedish laws. Often they also refuse to pay Thais nWhen they come home. They are usually some type of mafia organization that uses poor Thai.

  2. I have experience similar problems with Thai, and if he has decided for the hell you will get very big problem. You also get no support from the mother, he will take her party and then he becomes your enemy and you will never succeed. He feels certain that now that the mother has a (rich) farang husband so he does not go to school or work and it is your duty to supply him with money. When Thai gets angry, it usually error in the brain office and then anything can happen, so be careful and keep an eye on what he does but it is not so easy. Sometimes it is better to escape before someone destroys one's life! I myself regret that I have not pulled me out much earlier!

  3. you dont know a lot about Thailand or its culture do you, Most respectable Thai women would not be seen dead with a foreigner.

Strange! I have lived in Thailand for over 10 years and traveled around quite a lot. What I hear everywhere in Thailand from women is can you help me find a farang husband. I usually say that I can not help you, but why not find a good Thai man. The answer I always get is I do not want a Thai man again.

  4. Thai women do not want a husband! They want an ATM machine that they can draw money out. I live in Thailand but the bad experience would never choose a Thai wife again! Now is the playboy life that comes on my terms! But no bar girls! Twice the fun and half as expensive!

Hmmm...perhaps I was just lucky but my thai wife sure enjoys marriage and having a husband.

I wish guys with your mentality would stick with bargirls rather than the general poulation--you are two sides of the same coin.

Many women with regular jobs want a lover instead of a husband!

  5. At least 20 hours of driver education and teach people that it is important that you take into account each other in traffic. Consideration of traffic is almost completely lacking in Thailand. More alcohol controls and much harsher penalties for drunk driving. More speed checks with stiffer penalties. Much tougher penalties for those crazy overtaking that one sees every day. Much tougher penalties for driving without a license. The introduction of a law on compulsory motor insurance covering damage their own vehicle may cause. Then maybe it would be less accidents in the future!

I'm an old goat, so I have no hope for Thailand in my lifetime. Corruption, dishonesty and cheating are so ingrained and systematic that I see no way to eliminate them. Regardless of who becomes the next prime minister, it will be business as usual after a short honeymoon period where some cosmetic reforms may be made for show.

At first, I the blamed the people for being corrupt, and dishonest, but the longer I lived here, the more I realized that it was simply learned behavior from the ruling elite. As one Thai told me, if all those above us are corrupt and dishonest, then we are stupid if we are honest. So we learned to play by their rules.

In order to have a true democracy, it is necessary to have:

    1. Freedom of speech - Thailand has never had real freedom of speech. There has be been endless discussion about the abuse of the less majeste law for political gain and even personal revenge. This appears to be a problem. But it goes beyond that. The libel and defamation laws are written to protect the rich and powerful. And they use it to effectively suppress the truth. In Thailand, unlike an developed country, libel is a criminal offence that can land you in jail as it is difficult to defend yourself. In developed countries, libel is only a civil crime and you must prove clearly the damage that has been done to you in order to claim damages or remedy.

    2. Single standard in law enforcement and in the courts - Here, the rich kids who kill people with their cars and almost never punished. The crime is published on page 1 of the newspaper and then the case is endlessly stalled during the "investigation". Finally, when long forgotten by the general public, page 4 reports that the case has been dropped for lack of evidence or similar. But if a poor kid does the same, they get swift and certain punishment. Why? Well, just look at how the judges are appointed and what class they come from. It seems they all come from the rich, ruling elite class.

    3. Good education - Although large education and education reform budgets have been enacted every
year for the 12 years that I have lived here, I've seen precious little progress improving education. Why? Could it be that the rich, ruling elite believe it is easier to control the uneducated? Most vibrant democracies have a large middle class, but here the middle class is small, and found mostly in Bangkok where the work for the rich, ruling elite and are, therefore, reluctant to organize against their masters.

I could go on, but you get the idea. Cheers

    You are a wise man!

  7. 10 years in Thailand without any problems whatsoever. Living a quiet life here and should be a dream foreigner who only spend the money that comes from abroad, without ever making any trouble for Thai. Europeans do not seem to prefer to be as interesting for the Thai government, but the Russians seem to be VIP. Will no longer be a sponsor for any thai lady with some great immeasurable family who never get enough. My condo is now for sale and should be easy to sell to some rich Russians.

  8. Congratulations! Then you are one of 100,000<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

and they will blame everything one some people closing some few streets in bangkok, or mismanagement of funds & corruption ?

Do you know big contribution Thai economy from farangs who marry Thai women, pay sin sods (Even though most of these women are separated and have kids), pay for house, cars and family etc. Millions bahts. I think since many farangs learned about Thai women, they avoid mistakes of dating or marrying in Thailand.

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

    Speak for yourself!!

Marrying my Thai wife is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
