After another morning of attempts to use the on-line system, I decided to report the old fashioned, yet trusted, way in person. All done within an hour including travel time.
Thanks for everyone’s input and advice.

Ubonjoe- you are quite right. Always, 'contact your local immigration office'.
'Pinned topic'- what do you mean exactly? Quite new to posting on this forum...

Given the good news recently that the online 90 day notification was working again, I tried again, in vain, to register.
Has anybody had any success today of 'doing' their 90 day online?

Did my 90 day report last week at Phuket (was due 1st Sept but we were travelling around Thailand). Typically arrogant IO downstairs in Phuket Immigration gave my wife hassle re late attendance despite the reason for not being on time. No acknowledgement of amnesty or anything! IOs upstairs are, to a person, at least 'neutral' and at best pleasant, downstairs however... chips abundant with plenty of vinegar for extra sourness.

As with any group of people, there is a normal distribution of characteristics. I have the (dis)pleasure of visiting Phuket Immigration a few times every year. Yes, there are some foreign volunteers who seem to revel in their 'power', but they seem to work mainly downstairs and who also mirror the general attitude of many of the IOs in that particular office. The upstairs office, and I have met with most of the volunteers there, are, to a person, very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. I have witnessed them lose their composure on a few occasions when dealing with arrogant expats who seem unwilling to take advice and know al the answers despite asking questions... It's also worth noting that the volunteers are working in their second, third or even fourth language for, as their title indicates, no payment.
I, for one, am happy they are there.

Or they know me by now and they know I am kineau and I won't give them more than 100B.
Very possibly. Jumped up traffic wardens.

Was told by a friend, so cannot confirm it first hand, that now if farangs are stopped, they have to show either a Thai driving licence or an international driving licence, whereas a licence issued in their own country is now not accepted.
Apparently a 1000 baht fine is the penalty for this – – anyone have any update on this?
These motorists were fined 500 baht if they only had their national licence from what I could see and hear.

There are also lots of police officers on the street near Klong Toey fresh market.
I saw them stopping a pick up and a motorcycle with a Thai.
They didn't stop me - they didn't even try.
Perhaps Bangkok police have a different target audience?

And why would I do that? Just reporting what I observed.

BiB doing their bit for tourism in central Patong by stopping all motorbikes with obvious foreigners on them wearing helmets or not and checking driving licenses before issuing random fines. Locals free to pass through even though they ride helmet less...stood watching for 10 mins or so to check for confirmation bias. Shame.

Posted
Any readers had personal experience of the turnaround time for Bumrungrad’s Covid test? Qatar airways demanding test from one of 3 Centre’s within 48 hours of flying.
Thanks in advance!
