but that is because I actually have a clue how OS's function... do you?
Yeah, pretty much. The reasons that I prefer Slackware on my laptop, but I am happy enough with OS X on my desktop are because they both stay out of my way until I need them to do something.
I haven't ever bought software from Pantip, but nice try at another straw-man argument.

I'm sorry... Did you actually have anything to contribute to the OP's questions? Otherwise you are continuing to blather in a post where you obviously do not have the experience or knowledge to answer.
And what exactly did you bring to the thread? An appeal to authority? Lame.
I will eagerly await your suggestions fix to the OPs problems.
/I will guess that it involves re-installing and re-booting half a dozen times

So the fact I have been running Vista for 15 months with NO problems, stalls or blue screens and am very happy with how it works and does everything I want from an OS must be a lie then ? I have never had a problem with a virus or trojan, it updates whenever It is needed and if I do need any help I have a VAST resource at my finger tips. Can you remind me again just where I'm going wrong here ? Oh I remember IM the sad one!!!!!!
A) How much did you pay for this magical operating system and,

Well that was a lot of pointless blather to further your hatred of Microsoft.
I don't hate Microsoft or the users of their software because I don't have the energy; I pity and mock them in equal proportions.
But thanks for taking the bait

.... where is Reimar....?
Probably cyber-gobbling Ballmer and Gates as he downloads the latest version of their trojan and virus development laboratory, otherwise known as Windows 7 in order to post glowing reviews of it whilst all the time making pitiful attempts to defend the OS abortion commonly known as Vista.
Sad really, that people turn to a paid shill for advice on fixing a supremely defective product that they have paid lots of money for. With many other products in the world expected to work as advertised, Microsoft seem to get a free pass on that every time.

Safari Beta is fast and looks pretty good. The only problem I have found is that Hotmail doesn't like it.
According to a new ZDnet post it is the fastest browser of all when it comes to handling java script:
(It should be noted that the tests were run on a PC running XP SP2)
Source: Safari dominates browser benchmarks
I have been using Firefox for years but I will probably give Safari 4 a look once it is out of Beta, but I doubt I'll make the switch because I have grown so accustomed to Firefox add-ons like flashblock, the web dev toolbar and others that I am not allowed to talk about here.

My Yamaha Retro SR 400cc Cafe Racer.
I see a few bikes like that gathered outside a bike shop near Central Festival from time to time, I think there might be an owners club or something. Some of them look really neat.

Hi was woundering how my wife and I can set up video like msn or yahoo between 2 people,,,,,She has a Apple note book and I have an Acer (vista) ..I am going over seas for a bit to work and would love to see my kids live when i type to them on the net.
Is there any way I can do this, I know about ichat and msn, yahoo but ichat does not seem to be compatible to video together with msn or yahoo,,,
what can i do to get video between us?
SKYPE?
This. Skype is pretty good, there are other clients that you can use but for ease of set-up etc Skype is pretty good. As an added bonus the OS X version offers speech notifications* of contacts coming on line and messages received etc and integrates nicely with the desktop and it is easy to set up the iSight camera to work with it..
*Not sure if Windows versions have speech notifications also, if they do then my bad.

Why not host it yourself? Otherwise 3iX.org is pretty good.

Is this on your MacBook?
IIRC Photoshop uses a non-standard directory for the fonts. You can use a utility called Font Book to manage the fonts on the system and make sure that all fonts are available to all applications. Font Book comes included as standard on OS X and will be in the Applications folder.
This thread at Macosxhints.com seems to show that there is a limit to the number of fonts that Photoshop can have active at any one time, but it is from 2004.

Thailand is pretty high on the list here in murders per 100,000 with almost 6 times more than the USA, and is easily the winner in % of murders committed with firearms. Scary stuff.
(I apologise for the messed up formatting)

Poor guy, condolences to his family.
Far too young to die, but from the brief details it seems that he didn't suffer too much. Not that that makes it OK or anything.

so sorry but i'm abit dislecsick
So are we after reading that.

Awww you had to go and spoil it
Sadly I am too close to being smacked with the perma-ban hammer to risk posting something like that without a disclaimer

Land Of Freedom...
Chip on shoulder...
Yeah, let's cower in terror of terror whilst the government of the Land Of The Free rapes the globe of the rights it purports to uphold.
I welcome the TSA to have a peek at my hard drive, they are welcome to it on my laptop. How many Paris Hilton pics do they want to see?

Personally I believe that every Thai wife/girlfriend/bargirl (same difference, really) needs and deserves a good thrashing once in a while, it keeps them in line and is a vital tool of society.
The "rule of thumb" is a necessary and vital order from God as can be clearly read in Deuteronomy et al.
Therefore the righteous man offering a righteous smackdown on the clearly guilty hussy in this scenario is blameless and deserves all the credit that I am certain will be heaped upon him when he enters the kingdom of angels and heaven. Amen. Here endeth the lesson.
/please note that the above is *all* sarcasm, troll bait and all said with a tongue firmly planted in a cheek

With all the rampant speculation going on in this thread-shocked that no one has noticed the similarity(?) in spelling of the names of the Thai wife [Tawadee Pencharoenwattana] and supposed Thai girl friend [Nanthawadee Phenjaroenwatthana].
Take away the "Nan..h" letters from first name of girl friend and you have the spelling of the wife's first name.
The last names are too similar--sounds like English translation of Thai letters--"Pench" + aroenwattana = wife's last name; "Phenj" + aroenwattHana = girl friend's last name.
Don't think this is a coincidence--I believe this is another example of fine (!!) Thai journalism....
Well spotted.

...with his lucky 7777 numberplate ...
An interesting word to use, given the context..

There seems to be an awful lot of speculation in this thread.
