  1. Correct, my sis-in-law owns a company and started not using masks about 12 days ago. In last 2 days her brother, his wife and co-worker all have Covid. All had at least 2 shots of western vaccine. My wife who has 3 shots and has always worn N95 Masks has to take care of the sick emplyee's. Staff have gone back to wearing masks.
  2. By the way for your info that old BS story of " the wife back home won't give me a diviorce" is a story a lot of EU boyfirinds give to their Thai GF's. Some are not even married back in their home countries but simply use that as an excuse that they can't marry. They just don't want to commit to a legal/binding wedding to the Thai girl.
  3. Post said 8th report of neclaces stolen from Indians, seems more like the 10th.. BS I think. Need to have warnings at bus station/airport do not wear gold neclaces in Pattaya. Police should give flyers out to hotels to give to tourists ( especially Indian ) stating do not wear gold neclaces on streets of Pattaya.
  4. When I first started visiting Thailand had my Passport stolen at Chatuchak Weekend Market. When I went to Police to report it a very pretty Police Officer asked " do you have Thai wife?" I said ,no. She then said with a smile "do you want one" 555
  5. Be nice, OP may have an injury or other disability keeping him from getting around easily.

  7. That's not the case for everyone. I have a friend in US , could have retired 6 years ago, owns 21 rental apartments , has over 5 million USD cash in at least 1 account I have seen , and is still working at our old job. His accountant has told him working at the job is crazy as he would still be getting 80% of his pay if he retired. His rents pay him more in 2 months than he makes at job all year. Some people have no outside social life so going to work ,meeting people is the only social interaction they get. Would be lonely without it. He has no wife , no kids and has been to Thailand before so knows how nice it is. Another co-worker also could have retired 6 years ago died in January from Covid home alone. No wife or kids. Simply coming to work as that is the only friends he had to comunicate with. Not sure how much money he had but he never had a passort and never traveled on vacation , only to music concerts in the state.

  9. I have been an avid runner and bike rider for many years , rode my bike to work ( 10 kilometers ) in Boston, MA USA many times. Never ride my bike in Bangkok streets. I ride in park near my condo in Bkk. In Pattaya I ride in the village or on the back roads in Pattaya where there is less traffic. Cars and motorbikes in Thailand drive insanely with no regard for others.
  10. ‘Natural immunity’ after COVID infection might not last as long as you think. Here’s why https://www.yahoo.com/news/natural-immunity-covid-infection-might-171002952.html

  12. According to below article we won't be seeing the Chinese coming back to buy/visit anytime soon. US envoy sees China lockdowns extending into 2023 https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/us-envoy-sees-china-lockdowns-extending-into-2023/ar-AAYxBGA?li=BBnbcA1
  13. I think demand for properties will go up as soon as getting into Thailand becomes easy. Chinese will be back to buy as well as a number of my friends from US who will retire, sell their homes and move away from cold winters, shootings , lack of baby formula and other comodities , political/racial unrest ect in the US.
  14. 1st you need an afadavit from your Embassy stating that you are single or diviorced and therefore free to marry. Then you take that to MFA = Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be translated/notorized. Then take that to the Amphur to get a marriage certificate. Pay extra and and get the big book one (Fancy) When applying for marriage visa take wife, marriage certificate, financcial documents, passport, wife's ID, ect to Immigration. Google "marriage registration in Thailand for foreigners" and " Thai marriage certificate" for info.
  15. I 'll jump in now as well. You are the one who brouht up the remark (in your last sentance) "married but has no marriage certificate" . Many Thai including a former Prime Minister stated they are married but never registerd at an amphur. Many have the village "blessing cerimony" which everyone considers gettting married but untill notifying the Amphur it's not. Some register the marriage years later, I did and so have many others. We are legally married now with documents but did it years after the marriage cerimony. Some never do it unless they need to get a marriage visa or other official stuff.
  16. Boy you are lazy, if you click on the link that says full story in the OP you can watch 2 vids of her working out.
