  1. If you really are feeling down and it's ongoing and you don't want to take anti-depressants(they numb you and aren't a good thing unless your really really depressed. one wouldn't be able to enjoy music anymore ect.)

For very mild depression a great herb is call st john's wort available over the counter there and in thailand(it called blackmoores hyperforte in thailand) in one a day pill format. About 400baht in boots for a month supply which might be all one needs. It takes about 3 weeks to work.

As a student years ago a lot of us used to take them with all the pressure from exams ect. You just notice that your slightly more upbat and the same old things don't get you down like before with it.

  2. Logic

    Logic

    Logic.

The tv costs next to nothing in electric. I see lots of big empty cars on the road everyday with silly big engines running idle in traffic.

    logic

what about double glazing and some insulation in new offices. maybe give grants toward double glazing and the like.

    Logic

    Any simple logic.

Bring out a few more small cars in thailand with small engines.

Small cars are lighter and more zippy and don't need to use all the precious oil to push themselves around.

Is it the status thing again?

maybe make it cool to own smaller cars with smaller engines and all that jazz.

I'm in bed by 12 every night so i don't care but it sure seems a bit silly to cut the tv at 12 to save a tiny tiny fraction of a percent of oil use. The people on night duty would be fair sad to hear that.

  3. And what happens when the phone is stolen and used by a terrorist??

well, the idea is a terrorist would be a bit reluctant to use a

stolen phone to hook up a bomb as somebody might decide

to call that number whilst they were in the middle of hooking

    it up or placing it.

    --dan

Wrong. 70% of mobiles have a auto power on/off function to save battery or with alarm. So there is no risk to the bomber Just set the function before soldering the wires to the ringer. Easy.

It i not nessesary to steal anyway as old sims can be bought for the price of credit in them plus 50 baht.

To someone in the real world(and not in fairy land with the tea fairy) this idea is simply a dupe. I don't want to care about corruption anyway. Likely be a few generations before the corruption thing winds itself out as the poorer folk wake up to there being plenty and the richer folk getting bored by the same old things or something like it. Sad it still exists really for the kids who will have to learn bout it themselves.

  4. did you find a trustable lawyer ? here [email protected]     i got marriaed with  a bargirl and will buy a land soon ....

Something about trust gets with with the last two posts.

I heard about being very very careful with lawyers in hua hin.

Especially if you will buy a land and got marriaed with a bargirl.

:D:D I thought we must trust and love those that we marry. :D:o

My american friend calls lawyers twisted bottom feeders who make money from other peoples misery and suffering. That was after his american ex-wife got a good lawyer for the divorse. An all too common thing in America.

So never marry a yank woman and especially a yank woman lawyer.

  5. I do it somewhat different.

I have a 2.4ghz wireless video/audio extender (bought from Pantip) - this sends a signal from my UBC box's out ports to my PC's video and line in jacks (I have a gfx card that has native Video in/out).

Works fine. Even hacked a cool remote control method (vnc into my PDA running tvremote software & change channel via IR :o)

    P

How much do wireless video audio extenders go for in pantip?

  6. If you want quality and the ability to time your recordings, you would need an internal AV-in PCI card (you do not need a TV tuner).  It would probably cost around 800-2,000 baht.  The card will have a RCA-jack to attach to the video-out output from your TV or decoder, and you attach the audio-out to your soundcard.  It might come with software for timed recordings, or you can find some to download/buy.

I used to use a tv card i got in FOR 1300(THEY ARE 999 NOW) WITH REMOTE. opps caps,.

A program like pvr will let you watch tv and schedule to record what ever channel easy enough.

A dvd recorder would definatly be better.

THey are like 150$ in usa but probably differnt format.

  7. I came accross this site a few days ago, brilliant.

    http://www.anova.org/software/index.html

    As well as this site

    www.yousendit.com

Its Freeware. I copy/past the following.

Transformative. YouSendIt is a highly useful online utility. Choose who you want to send a file to. It can be up to 1Gb in size and can be sent to one or many people, as long as they have an email address — just separate multiple email addresses by commas. Select a file to send. You can send photos, audio, documents or anything else. Your file will be stored by YouSendIt without ever filling up your recipient's mailbox. Click on Send. YouSendIt will automatically email your recipient a link to your file stored on our server. Your file will be deleted after seven days. It's that simple and it works very fast. YouSendIt fills a much-needed niche in the file transfer space. As a simple web service, it’s very effective and fast. The fact that there’s no software to install, no account to create, and no security risk in creating and maintaining an FTP server, makes the YouSendIt web service so compelling to use. It should be noted that the free service does have some limitations in terms of security options. Also, the fact that files are kept on the server for only seven days means that the free service cannot really be used as an FTP service replacement for persistent files.

  8. Hi

Finally got a new wireless laptop. I'm over the moon with it.

Adsl is available here but i don't know what do i need to connect to the internet wireless around the home.

How have other people done it?

I still have a desktop so if worse came to worse i could always connect tru that and buy something to make the desktop wireless. I'd rather if there was some box or something that i didn't hae to use the desktop.

    Thanks for a response.
