So someone with 3 Citizenships and Passports from 3 different Countries somehow forgets to renew 2 of them?
And the remaining, valid, Passport is "stolen by a woman supposed to get him his extension"?
Red flags all over this I think.
Patrick
Yes Patrick rubbish OP. Little info. No reply and who has ever heard of ban with 4 day overstay. No info about the procedure at airport and stamps in pp.

Ring the airline and find out.
The airline has nothing to do with it. Immigration is the bloke you need to pass

Long shot, but clearly you don't have the required amount in income from home country? If you were close to the amount you could opt for income SD from your embassy. Prob suits those people living bkk. All they do is reject. Unlikely. Typo above above reentry permit. The multi gives you unlimited. Available and some airports. If your not changing your address proof of where you live prob not asked for.

Overstayed by 4 days and had a one year ban! Is that a typo??

Thanks.Guess that should be the case.
Not sure what Non o based on? You are thinking obtaining in Saigon. Not 100% sure but i think saigon does not offer non o based on retirement. Check it out

The expire date you currently have is the date they base your ongoing 12 month extensions. You cannot push date back. No difference to apply a week or month before hand. You can apply for extension up to 30 days prior or 45 at some places like CW.
-
Britim you may be correct, however Saigon seemed to fall in line with few other consulates as per Bali where onward flight is required. Thinking the op is after definitive advice rather than perhaps.
-
They ask the questions because its airline policy for many airlines that if your entering via flight to obtain visa exempt entry they require onward flight. Not always enforced. AA often does to name one. Side example...Thai get 15 day visa exempt to Japan. I take the Thai gf OFTEN. Every time they ask to see the onward flight. The airline is responsible to return you if you are not admitted to country your entering.
Aside from all that. Saigon is fab place. I go every several weeks. BTW zero wait time at Thai consulate. Nice break from wonderful Thailand. Cheap booze.

Well can only accept what your saying about the bus/train ticket but seriously NEVER heard of that. From any consulate. How about a booked taxi from Mr T taxis service.

The consulate will accept a bus or train ticket showing exit from Thailand but you probably wouldn't be able to check in for your flight without a paid for onward ticket
Have you done this, because that certainly is not my experience. In fact never heard of that before. The consulate insists upon FLIGHT out. Also anyone with a visa as per the intent of this OP will NOT be refused boarding plane. That applies to folk intending to obtain VE stamp on arrival. And yes many airlines may refuse boarding.

Couple of years back you did not need ticket out however you do now. It needs to be hard copy showing confirmed which means paid for.
-
Good decision OP. Your new O-A (retirement visa) you mentioned obtaining once back in AU has its hurdles and costs as well. ie police check and having copies notorized. There was talk that the use of a JP do do this was being "discouraged". That will add to cost of obtaining one.

I don't care how you feel about it. Thats your problem. Statistically, innocents killed by firearms vs population is pretty low and going lower. The school shootings are the real tragedy.
We don't have to retreat and call 911 in our own home (most states), and don't have to fear prosecution if its justified. Wont even be arrested. I can't see how this is a bad thing but up to you of you wanna drink the hater-ade.
Ummm perhaps you can google something like "list of countries for deaths by firearms" USA over 10 per 100k. Most other western countries about ONE. BUT never let facts distract you.

Yes. The right to protect yourself without fear of prosecution is a wonderful thing.
Yeah and helps keep them up the top end of murderes by firearms. A stat to be truely proud of. Other western countries so jealous

Agree on one point, being that young folk do generally do not have my income. However the young folk providea vibe and interest to places like district 1 saigon and old quarter han oi. Without them it would be very boring for some. Tourists have many spin offs. Mind you the is under very few USA tourists for country that population. Only bit more than AU yet pop 11 times au

I'm not USA but travel Saigon often. I just applied for letter of approval. There was a new notice below the option box. Words to the effect ...USA pp holders will only be issued one year multiple.
OP I agree not fair. Nor fact USA and AU along with many others countries do not get 15 visa exempt such as UK.
its all weird. One year multiple perfect for me (I go every 7 weeks) but useless for backpackers.

While it is important to to honest in any visa application sometimes too much information can cause issues. Your friend can simply state that he will be providing accommodation and living expenses for her. If he wants to make the letter a stat dec he can do that at the au embassy in bkk or in AU. Not necessary but some advise useful. If you do google search, type " visa to Australia for Thai partner" skip the adds and look for ozvisa. There is a comphensive guide with links to forms to download and sample letter of invitation etc

Can anyone advise on how many days does a 3 month visa to Vietnam allow.
The agents that issue the "letter of approval have stated 85 and 87. I need a definitive answer as my travel dates are booked. Thankyou
-
As pointed out, Vientiane is good place to obtain non o. AA do direct flight or fly to udon and minibus to border. As far as pp I would use the one where my money is coming from. If OP thinks he might like to travel a bit to Vietnam, keep in mind that German pp holders obtain 15 day visa exempt. USA do not.

Many thanks Crossy :-)
Crossy has covered It. Advice correct.
Note if entering without a visa and airline insists upon onward flight just book one online with your cell on the spot. You will obtain one to hcmc or vientiane etc for about 1000baht.

This question comes up so often. Answer is YES he can be refuses by the airline. Won't be by immigration at airport in los. Simple solution. If refused, simply book ticket online with your cell. Cheap options with carrier like AA would be places like Saigon, Vientiane etc. Most likely under 1400 baht. Job done
Banned but three passports
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

I realize this adds little to the OP. However it always bugs me when an OP starts a new topic then does a "vanish".
No added info , nothing. I'm a hack TV contributor. My intentions are good, and sometimes miss giving correct ifo. Basicslly i try and assist.
I admire and store info from members like elvijero and of course ubonjoe. What's with many random op's that seems suss then offers no input to clarify.
