  1. In thai culture when you have sexual relations with a women you are considered married. Thais are big in keeping face. If it has gotten around that you have slept with her and not making a legal marriage then it looks very bad for her family.

Is the Prime Minster married? Is she Thai? I doubt you are Thai or known anything about Thai face.

That's a good point. Isn't she Chinese Thai too? Great Grandfather arrived in Thailand in 1860 I think. What about that Jayman?

I will have to examine her hymen and then get back to you.

Can't admit error? She does have a son. Go ahead and admit it. The guys who buy that stuff got scammed.

  3. Air port in crisis, politics in crisis, hotel guest in crisis, flood crisis, bombing crisis, border conflict crisis, children health crisis, Constitutional crisis, Thaskin visa crisis, King health crisis, salmonella, bird flue, denegue, hand/foot/mouth, threat of civil war crisis, and danger on road crisis.

Why not just say Thailand in crisis.

Because there is no hotel guest, flood, bombing, border, salmonella. bird flue, degegue, civil war crisis.

  4. Thansford & co:

All I hear about the red shirts is elections, as though they are the be all & end all of democracy. Now it is fairly common knowledge (if you have lived here for some time) that vote buying & intimidation does occur. No one really knows how much it affects an election result but it does have at least some effect.

What the red shirts & their sympathisers (such as you) never mention is what checks & balances should apply. Certainly what the most loud-mouthed red shirt leaders spout is to ignore or do away with those checks on the legislature. It is certainly impossible to run a democracy with a totally corrupt & biased police force.

Many of Thaksin's pronouncements when he was in power left no doubt that (a) he is no democrat, (cool.png he can't take criticism & © he wanted (& still wants) to rule totally. We'll leave corruption out for the moment.

Are you using the words Red Shirts and current democratically elected government interchangeably?

    oh really?

is this a new law, or did you hear from someone in a bar?

I think it is just for Chinese/Thai women. Who are not related to the Chinese who came during WW II but only in an earlier migration.

  6. No need of confusion.

Al the red shirts have to do is get a real education.

They will soon realize that the people they follow now have no use for them other than as a weapon.

Education = problem solved no more red shirts.

Unless they are corrupt and see a chance to make a illegal baht there.

Or possibly see a chance to make a lot of money just by spouting nonsense.

Are you expecting to make a lot of money then?

Artist. Do you disagree with what dolly says that a Thai with an education and no agenda will see through the Shinwatra clans deads.

    sent from my Wellcom A90+

It is quite obvious the people posting on this forum who are anti red shirts have little on no education. Seems the opposite of Thai people.

  7. From OP.

"Things won't stop here," red-shirt leader Jatuporn Promphan said minutes after the verdict was announced, adding that some people had a hidden agenda for trying to stop a new charter from being written.

He means the 'hidden agenda' of the self-defense systems built into a constitutional-monarchy parliamentary-democracy, the state institutions that protect it from subversion by violent totalitarian dictatorship.

    ermm.gif

Are you saying that the current government is a violent totalitarian dictatorship?

  8. I was wondering how many posts before this turned into my girlfriend is better than your girlfriend thread. Plus you have thrown in the my girlfriend is not a prostitute (takes money for relationship) what a new refreshing twist to threads here on Thai Visa.

It is kind of nice that you have added the anti sex element that appeals to some here. So tell us what the difference between girlfriends and sex partners is? Is it normal? Is there a big difference between girlfriends and sex partners? Do you have to get married to have sex in Thailand? Do you pay the family a lot of money first?

On one hand, it is really difficult to post anything that won't offend people or on the other hand, people tend to feel offended by.

I am not going into any argument concerning to topics such as my lady is better than yours and women who got supported are bad or not. This topic was meant to describe and compare Thai ladies we have had experience with. I was only interested in their day to day attitude, habits, hobbies etc. I can't answer your questions as those are n/a to me.

As for your second sentence, I am only stating facts. What's wrong with it? Why shouldn't I?

    I. I posed a number of questions that you chose not to deal with. 2. When you said my girlfriend is not my sex partner you enter into another realm of anti sex in relationships. Implying that your girlfriend is better than a girlfriend who is a sex partner. That is the old Thai Visa song about not dating prostitutes and anyone who pays for sex is a bad or not moral person.

It is the same old stuff. An anti hooker thread caged in slightly language.

Unless you want to deal with the sex questions don't bring them up. You posted, " I have tried to focus on "girlfriends", not sex partners." OK what does that mean? It means you are a good moral person who does not focus on sex. Good for you but what does that say about people who do focus on sex partners (99% of the men in the world who don't post on Thai Visa).

Wow, not sure why you are reading topics, to contribute or conflict. You are totally wrong with your conception. n/a, means non applicable so that I can't deal with. Please, If you had read the topic carefully, you might have realized this is NOT the topic has been discussed over and over, this meant to be another approach. There was nothing insinuating in my post however you keep trying to get a grip on something not existed. No offence aimed, no attempt to bash anybody. I apologize if my words have seemed to be equivocal. Thanks for your understanding

Gary forgive me but did you say, 1. Thai women kiss different, 2. Thai women are overly lazy and, 3. I am not looking for a sex partner? That's pretty weird dude.

  9. Thai ladies sexual techniques are quite different to English ladies.

(I have no experience of other nationalities)

Thai girls also kiss differently to English women.

They also often prefer to sit cross-legged, and can climb trees to pick fruit.

After 1500 posts you know you can't talk about English women on Thai Visa. Why would you bring it up?

    I agree.

Sometimes, they appear to do some quite difficult stuff such as tree climbing in your example, but on the other hand they tend to be overly lazy.

Kiss is a definite difference for sure.

They kiss different? What is your sample size? How many Thai women have you kissed that entitles you to say Thai women kiss differently? All Thai women are overly lazy? What are you some kind of nut case?

  11. Huh. They're all after our money. How can anybody seriously deny it?

Well, just by traveling here you're beating the system. Cheaper wages equal more women in the sack. ChaChing! We win.

Hum, I have had three girlfriends in Thailand and they never demanded money from me. I have tried to focus on "girlfriends", not sex partners.

  12. May not be what you want to hear but I knew a guy who got too close to the wrong “nice girl” who eventually shot and killed him while waiting in line at the bank after stalking him for some time. The subsequent news stories were about evil western men not crazy girls.

Assuming the best about people just because they don’t work in a bar is crazy. The crazy bug bites as many rich people as it does poor. If one is not interested in getting married it might be advisable to stay away from “good girls” who also sleep with foreigners.

Of course this did not happen in Thailand?

  13. Very few men are interested in Thai girls.

But lots of men are interested in AVAILABLE girls.

If you can't get a girlfriend in your own country, try Thailand.

Don't try Brazil or Argentina or Spain or Italy. Those girls have standards and salaries and expectations. If you're a loser, you'll get nowhere.

Try Thailand instead. You'll find something.

To answer your question, all Thai women are the same. They all have a Thai ID card. They all speak Thai. And they all eat rice.

Huh. They're all after our money. How can anybody seriously deny it?

  14. Relax guys. I have disagreed with both of you; both Nietzche and PaullyW. Since I disagreed with both of you I think I have a reasonably good idea of your reactions. No offense meant but both of you acted like sociopaths. I mean really nothing we have discussed was worth getting worked up about. But both of you became rather agitated in you responses. Hardly an adult like trait. I just wrote it off to you being in Thailand for a while. A good example will be your reaction to this post.

Will you intrepret my words as good natured fun or think I am trying to insult you?

  15. Pattaya should look at Vagas !

in the 80's they tried the family friendly route and lost customer base.

They switched back to what happens in Vagas stays in Vagas !

And adult play town. Go have fun, spend money and go home.

    Worked for them.

Pattaya why don't you be true and stop trying to kid yourself and everyone else

Because Thai people are not Western people. It simply does not bother Thai people to have both. The only time they ever mention it is to impress gullible Farangs who pay the bills.

  16. You've never picked up a shop/supermarket/7-11 worker and subsequently paid them for sex?

You don't even need to visit Pattaya to do that.

Nurses and government workers ....... yep, my pals have done them too ......... the dirty dogs.

Are you seriously suggesting that 7-11, hospitals, and governments offices are sex related industries.?

    Yermaneewai.gif

Don't forget school teachers. I mean seriously why do you think they come to this country? To educate Thai children on the wonders of obscure English dialects?

Not that I don't believe it is possible (what you said) but still majority of Pattaya local folks are not like that. Your word against mine, no data and graphs.

My pals have flown to the Moon. Or at least they thought that's what had happened to them.

Your post is an example why Thais (a conservative, almost a feudal society) have imposed visa rules that border with humiliation, at foreigners.

It is just the young uns that have those kind of visa rules. Me it only takes 15 minutes for 12 months at my local immigration office. So I guess the Thais have figured out the old guys are OK.
