So the 300 baht is to pay for tourists without insurance and the remainder is to fund tourism development ???????? Welcome to Thailand, YOU will pay for other people's insurance and YOU will pay for the upkeep of tourist attractions whilst being charged vastly more than the local population to visit the aforementioned tourist attractions. What next? A 30 baht charge on all tourists restaurant bills to cover the cost of someone doing a runner and the upkeep of the air conditioning? The few tourists without insurance blends into insignificance when compared to the Thais driving/riding without insurance but maybe the insurance companies prefer this, just imagine the compensation payments due to the ineptitude of Thai road users if everyone was insured ????????

Meet “Pareploy”, former female boxer behind the viral street brawl
Swampy999 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
She had 2 options, 1) Ignore the idiot and let it go or, 2) Drop the idiot straight away. If her boxing skills are anything to go by, option 2 would have resolved the problem in a couple of seconds ???????? -

Swampy999 replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News

Thailand ranked 5th best worldwide for retirees by French magazine
Swampy999 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
<deleted> same old BS story, repeated 3 times every month, Aseannow seems to forget (ignore) the fact that not all retirees are overweight, tattooed and with a receding hairline, men that enjoy booze and hookers. Granted there are happily married (in their county of origin not to a luv u long time 30 year younger 'wife') retirees living here but they are very few and far between.- 119 replies

"His travel insurance has lapsed due to an unexpected extended stay" Fake News ???????? By the look of his Facebook posts there were a lot of 'unexpected' sessions at bars and 'unexpected' 90 day reports. Do I pi$$ my money up the wall or maybe stay at home for a few nights and use the booze money for insurance, ain't exactly rocket science is it?

Plenty of red and white zebras after being attacked by a lion. The ZEBRA crossing was first introduced in the UK in 1951 then at a later date the stupid Americans adopted the idea but used the wrong colour paint and the Thailand followed suit ????????

Of course all the motorcycle riders caught on camera were wearing crash helmets and nobody was using a mobile phone and the Artificial Intelligence system did not flag any unregistered, uninsured vehicles ???????? The Artificial Intelligence is very suitable for the police here as they have no real intelligence of their own.

Motorists in Thailand can now use digital driving licenses
Swampy999 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So I no longer need the inconvenience of having my Thai driving licences in my wallet, all I have to do is go to a transport office renew my licenses for a digital version, attempt to log into a Thai government web site and register so as I can have EXACTLY the same information on my mobile phone. Ahhhhhh technology makes life so easy, NOT ???????? -
And the fractions of infections is based on ???????????? the number of people tested. Why are so few people tested ???????????? got to keep the figures below 10k could well be an answer. They have now admitted that Covid is in every province so if they divide the total population by the number of tests then use that number and multiply the positive cases it would give a fair indication of the situation, but their calculator still seems to have a problem with the display showing the correct amount of zeros.
