Submitted after the 366th day of continuous, contracted employment of that particular school.

As of a few years ago, 6-9 weeks depending on when they do the batch. No idea with any online process. The lic. is sent to your school. Be certain to locate the person that sorts the mail and explain you are waiting for the document.

Thanks. It seems it's quicker now as we submitted it about the time of your post and it came back approved about 3 days ago. Now, to wait for the card. I have checked the Khurusapa link for the teaching licence and it doesn't show yet so I don't think they have cut the card yet...

well, the 90 day reporting has been online for 3-4 (?) years now and they've almost got it working correctly.

Back when I did it it was a TCT form letter to the university returned directly to TCT in a sealed envelope. You had to bring everything to them yourself including the mailing address for the university.

Yes, although recently the 90 days online system has been completely broken. It's about time they abolished it.

Yes, the requirements are much the same. The only concession they've made recently is that documents can now be emailed to them. I found this out AFTER I'd paid 5000 baht for my degrees to be printed and mailed to Thailand in a sealed envelope. Hopefully, now it's online it'll be a quick turn around.

to be honest, my 1st license took over 6 weeks to process and send out to me but it was the very 1st week they were open about 12-13 yrs ago.

Renewals after that took about a week or 2

Thanks for your reply. 6 weeks doesn't sound too bad. I believe, since March 2020, they put everything online. Documents are checked and verified AT Khurusapa but then the onus is on the school/individual to upload the documents onto an e-portal. But accounts of how long this process takes from upload are very thin on the ground.

  4. Hi

Does anyone have any experience with completing the teaching licence application form specifically sections 3.2.1 and 3.2.2?

Where do you put a mark assuming you ARE competent and have proper behaviour? The wording of it seems unclear. YES or NO?

  5. Is it possible to get married without the verification? I have been quoted an eye watering price of 2000 per document for translation and verification. The agency said it is 600 baht for translation only. Also, I have a certified copy of my passport too. Does that need to be translated too?

Affirmation of Freedom to Marry by any chance ???

IF so, there are translation services near Ploernchit BTS - these services will translate your documents and obtain the Ministry of Foreign Affairs verification of the translation of the document.

IF its a regular translation with no further verification the same places will do a regular translation.

Yes Affirmation of *Freedom* to Marry is what I meant.

Thanks for this information. Wasn’t aware you needed a Ministry of Foreign Affairs verification though.

  7. I have tried booking an appointment with the British Embassy Bangkok, but the 'available' slots on the appointments page are greyed out completely, every single day for every single month. Does anyone know what the problem is? I find it hard that they are fully booked for the next 10 months and beyond.

I'm really not familiar with the Ong Ang Canal.....is it different from all the other canals in Bangkok?   Because I can barely stand to walk over or past the canals that stink to high heaven.    Cannot fathom the thought of kayaking in them.   Phew!!

This one doesn’t smell. One of the few i think.

These teachers that they employ, are they the dregs of society or just scum of the earth ? Do they actually have teaching qualifications ?

They’re probably on 30,000 THB a month. Do you know any qualified teachers that would work for that? As far as I know, it will employ anyone with any degree. Obviously, given the number of abuse cases, and not just this school, behaviour management and classroom management skills are alien concepts to these teachers.

  10. Given the current furore surrounding a certain school, the MoE is having a crackdown on teaching licences. I am a fully qualified teacher from the UK and I'm being asked to contact my university to ask them to send a stamp addressed envelope to Krusapa. This is despite having the original copy with transcripts with me here in Thailand. Could anyone advise what address my university needs to write on the sealed envelope and just generally on the process? Looking for some first hand accounts rather than conjecture. TIA.

Could anyone confirm the 90 day report amnesty is also extended until end of Oct?

I sent mine via mail end of Aug but got a reply asking me to do it in person and pay 2000B fine?

My Non O extension is due early Nov so if 90 day report is also extended, I would just skip it.

Or anyone could confirm if I can escape the 2k B fine if I do it within this week.

I went this morning to Muang Thong Thani. I was supposed to report again in June, but they locked down immigration. I wasn't fined. I'd go asap this week.

I was at MTT for my 90 days report last wednesday 23th, without appointment. No problem at all, except it take almost two hours ....

Thanks! This is just what I was after. Maybe I was wrong to be sent away w/out appointment. Two hours sounds like a short amount of time compared with what I'm used to. What time did you go?

That is not correct. It applied to everybody. If you read the ministerial notice it does not differentiate on who it applied to.

I skipped mine in April due to the rule saying you should stay at home unless it was something you had to do. I got caught up last month when I when I went to immigration to apply for my one year extension. No questions asked and I got a receipt with a report date in November.

ubonjoe - same, but mine expired on the 30th June, so I couldn't report then. I can't find my original 90 days receipt but I have a photo copy of it, would they accept that?

Secondly, can you (or anyone) recommend an agent or does it need to be done in person in this case?

Finally, I also believe that 90 days needs to be done at Muang Thong Thani, can you confirm that?
