  1. Does the timing of this case dismissal hold any coincidence to the recent statue of limitations expiring on the Tak Bai massacre case?
  2. It is possible that he was an expat and not a tourist traveling with friends. Five days could be a long time in certain scenarios, but without a timeline of the details and no real understanding of how close the friendships were between those involved, there is no telling at this point. RIP Mr. 45 year-old Canadian man.
  3. It seems like this all happened very quickly and with the gunfire, chaos ensued. There was some type of commotion at a different venue, which some onlookers may have had reason to think there was a connection and possibly had seen or heard the argument between Thais and then assumed it carried over to the location of the shooting. One particular witness, Mr. Amnuay mentioned the victims looked like foreign tourists. And, they were rushed off in a black Toyota Alphard van, which does not seem like a common vehicle for tourists, but possible. Perhaps Amnuay had recognized the people in the altercation and was protecting them by attempting to mislead the police. It's highly likely that the black van drove to an emergency hospital and will be detected and a plate will be run.
  4. This is 100% kuanteen กวนตีน and very disrespectful. Unless this driver was desperate to get the attention of the emergency services vehicle, there is just no excuse to impede the progress of their vehicle. There was no traffic, and even appeared they intentionally stopped short with a large truck approaching in the fast lane almost daring them to change lanes. Of all the poor decisions and dangerous driving I've seen on Thai roadways this is just about the worst behavior one could dream up. And in the cab of the ambulance, the driver is clearly upset and surprised by the actions of the car. They even called a dispatcher to attempt a confirmation of this vehicle. And if the car just needed help and wanted to get the attention of the emergency service, they would have rolled the window down.
  5. I'm not sure there is a political force anywhere that cares for the people more than their political agendas and lining their pockets. And yes, we are all doomed by the same fate.
  6. Perhaps the oldtimer just wanted to bring a Swiss gun home for a souvenir. From the BKK Post: During questioning, the Swiss man reportedly told police that he thought bringing a gun with no ammunition or magazine onboard a flight was not prohibited. He had decided to bring it to his home country because he thought it was not against the law, police said. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2879947/swiss-man-arrested-with-gun-at-phuket-airport. 7. Nothing wrong with working in prostitution, what's the problem girls? มีฐานะ ? Nothing to be offended by, mai pen rai.
  8. To overstay for eight years must have been laying low and minding his own business. Eventually, trouble finds you with that lengthy of an overstay. Bonne chance Didier.
  9. I recognize these professional basketball players, three of which are hall of famers. Did the 44-year-old Mr. Sunny play in the NBA? I did not recognize him as such.
  10. How do we expect Thailand to move the capital of Bangkok promptly and effectively when they don't even make an effort to repair a flood barrier that has been damaged for four months putting locals in Nontaburi at risk?
