  1. Thais not ask the price before.

It is not good behavior ask first, no have enough money to spend, loose face.

Mae Phim is my lunchbrake place allways we go to Koh Chang. They sheeting so mutch they ever can.

Last time we order tigerprawns 800gr, 8 pieces, 800b. (1600b/kg never!)

6 came to table, my and my wife asked, where is 2?

    OOHMEEFOORGEETSOLLISOLLI.

From that day, no more thai

restaurangs. Only falang owned on the other side of the beachroad.

  2. note: for some strange reasons it is very difficult to buy (in Thailand) one of the two components of a split unit separately.

Daikin have. One compressor up to 3 units.

And the heat from compressor can leeds to shower unit.

Look the inverter system too. I think it is even more economic today. No more on/off all the time.

  3. Source: The BP 19.4.-15

"In 2013, the World Health Organisation ranked Thailand among the world’s worst for per capita road deaths, with 38 from every 100,000 people per year. Last year, a survey by the University of Michigan put the rate even higher, at 44, which gave the country the world’s second-worst death rate behind Namibia and was more than twice the global average of 18."

38 peoples mean: 2.9 people die every hour.

44 peoples mean: 3.3 people die every hour.

Just wondering how many new Thais born every hour.

  4. I was just in Big C South Pattaya. All the tables that use to sell souvenirs near the food court are gone. So is the booth selling wine. Not enough tourists???

Can't post a link, but take a look at the article in the Bangkok Post today:

    Teflon Thailand starts to flake

Interesting comment from the lady working in the car dealership.

    Maybe this help?

  5. "Look around at the number of new cars, New motorbikes, New houses & condos at highly inflated prices and Land prices.

Most is paid for from cheap bank loans."

Tell me, where in Thailand you can find "cheap bank loans" then i borrow too, and buy a condo.

    Mortgage interest about 7%.

    Installment motorbike int. 50%.

    Car loans 15%.

    Loan sharks 20%/week.

That is the reason. They can not pay back loans, pay only the interest forever.

  6. It was greek fastfood bar on the soi post office in Pattaya and the other place was on the soi 6.

Then over one night both places was gone.

I was regular customer to both places and food was very good too.

Now i wondering if somebody know where they went?

Maybe open new bar somewhere in Pattaya or go back to Greece.
