  1. Hi All,

I have about 30 tonnes of wood for sale - mostly mai maka and mai daeng and some others

There are a lot of long planks and a lot of flooring  and also lots of old roofing etc

It came from my wife's father's resort which was taken down a few years ago due to the government building the new road through their land.

I advertised this for sale a couple of years ago so some of you might remember.

The wood is forest wood and old and of high quality. It was expensive when purchased as I remember her father telling me.

Anyhow looking to sell it all by the end of the year as we are all moving back to Ireland to live and its a shame for it to be sitting up in a shed.

If anyone is looking some of this then Id be happy to sell it to you.

Could anyone suggest how to sell this wood.

I include photos to give you an idea of what I have. The shed now is a lot more full than what you see in these pictures but gives you an idea.

Thanks guys and look forward to your replies

You can call me on 082-081-1129 if you have any questions

    Hi guys ,

I am looking ideas about what to do with a large amount of wood that my girlfriend owns. The wood is "mai daeng" and Mai Maka" if that means anything to you. I dont know the names in English.

We dont want this wood to go to waste and would really appreciate ideas about what to do with it as it is now sitting up in a shed!.

Also any idea about how much its worth? per kg or per ton?

    Look forward to your replies.

  3. I am from Northern Ireland and married here with a 3 month old son. I really want to bring all back home next year. My sons british PP is applied for already.

Does anyone know can my wife apply for an Irish visa off the back of being married to me who has a British Passport -so she would apply as spouse of EEA citizen?? Is this possible ?

Also to meet the requirements of SS what visa would my wife need to be on in, lets say, Ireland. Is a tourist visa acceptable? or does she have to be on another type of visa??

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated guys

  4. Hi there ghworker2010,

I saw your post about a high end tv cabinet that you were after. I have one for sale which i thought you might be interested in.

It is made from Indian rosewood and has been hand crafted. It comes with a certificate of authenticity also.

I will include a picture for you to look at and if you have any questions about it you can get back to me. This wood is highly sought after now and you wont see this type of furniture here too often. There is only one company in thailand that sells this.

Hope to chat soon- if not enjoy the picture!!

  5. It always amazes me when all the so called "Aussies" start to get sentimental about their country when in actual fact not one would be an aboriginal. Now these are the real Australians. It's so funny as the white ozzies are staunch Australians-haha!!! Eh don't think so!! The problem with them is they JUST WONT ADMIT IT!! Bunch of confused prisoners!!!

Don't be ridiculous. Your comments are pure ignorance,
the ignorance being from the ozzies. I lived there for 2 years unfortunately and experienced it. Claiming it to be "their" country while being rascists to the people visiting!! Every white Ozzie thinks he's a pure bred Australian. It's a fact!
  6. Hi guys. Any ideas on how to get rid of what seems like weed from small lakes that we have? One of the lakes is 100% covered with a thinish layer like weed that lies flat on water surface. Someone said to use EM but I thought this would just clean the water if anything? Also another lake has what seems like layer of dead material on top causing the water to look think and murky??? I'm lost as to how to solve this!!! Any ideas would be welcomed.post-202816-14308110580151_thumb.jpg

  7. It has been air drying now for about 2 months SPW2015. I m going to see it today or tomorrow so I ll get pictures up. Lots of it were flooring and the outside walls of the houses were half log type! But very beautiful wood some of it and I would love to make it into flooring. There were also lots of full logs used as support for the houses. It's all different lengths and sizes but lots of long lengths approx 10 meters long

  8. Yes I'm aware of the laws regarding cutting this tree. This wood is from a resort in Wang nam Kheow where the land was taken back by the government. My girlfriends father had some houses built made from this wood- he bought the wood and didn't deforest .There were numerous court cases about the land and the buildings and the government are aware of it. My gf has the court letters so in actual fact this wood is legal for my gf to have in her possession.

  9. I am not sure if I have that size northernjohn. I dont think it off the top of my head. The shed is in Prachinburi and the wood is in good condition. Definitely in good condition to be refurbed or used for something like furniture but I don't know how to go about getting it made into furniture. My gf would love to do something with the wood as her father is now dead and he devoted so much time and money to this resort.

  11. Hi guys,

I am looking for a bit of advice. My girlfriend and I have got lots of wood which came from houses that her father owned in Wang Nam Kheow. The land was inside the national park and the government have now taken the land. Long story short we have about 40-60 tonnes of wood sitting in a shed now. The wood that I know about is Mai Daeng and Mai Maka (sorry about the spelling).

Any ideas about what I should do with this as I dont want it to go to waste.

Also anybody know anything about the price of this wood?

    Thanks for any help guys.
