American, have lived in Thailand for 14 years, 10 in Bangkok and the last four in rural Roiet. I speak, read and write standard Thai and am minimally conversant in Isan/Lao. Was involved with the Thai community of Denver Colorado for many years & did a stint as a Buddhist monk at the Thai monastery there.
