It's all about the way foreigners look at Thailand. I don't see any plan to make really poor families getting money from other trades. A lot of these girls needs money to send home. Not all are scam or happy hookers.

Seems like it's all about face of the country.

More and more the focus turns away from Land of Smiles, and towards Land of Swindlers and Cheating. I wish we could see a safer country. They need tourist more that tourist need them.

Saving endangered species is no issue when they can eat it, or make some money. Or both.

Loosing control is normal when maintenance is unknown.

A few times I have witnessed indian groups spreading out in the lines, awaiting one of them moving quicker, and then gathering where one of the group holds a place. This is not a good way. On 2 occaitions, I have seen officers taking the whole "bunch" of these, and move them out of the lines and into offices. Which I think is a good reaction.

Maybe this is the case? I wouldn't be surpriced. And then the money issue comes up as an excuse....

This is why I don't go to Phuket. Taxi drivers.

Think about it. I spend about 200.000 baht in Thailand every year Not much for a farang, maybe, but I believe it's a lot of people like me, choosing other destinations for the holidays.
How much will Phuket loose because of these shit-brains?
Thailands biggest asset is the people, but they are also their worst enemies.
