There is a silly rumour starting in Pattaya that if you leave and re-enter on a re-entry permit - you then have to report to an immigration office within 48 hours.
If you fail to do so you will be fined 4000B.
A friend having heard this at Pattaya Expats Club meeting then went to Jomtien IO where he was apparently informed that this is correct.
It seems to me that this/these persons are completely confusing some issues .
Can anyone add any more to this ??

Anyone have any useful info on life at The Base including the internet setup ?

What a waste of time post that was .
What is 53% higher - the cost of room rentals or the cost for internet at the premises?

I'm just wondering why you returned the next day to do 90 day report ??
I did a 90 day about 90 days before my retirement extension application fell due and the IO at Jomtien told me to do them at the same time.
Last week I attended with my paperwork for the retirement extension which includes proof of address. I don't think you needed to do a separate 90 day report.
For the record I also had a pain free experience at Jomtien.

Just been to Dr Somnuek next to TOT in Pattaya Glaang. 3000 B for two minor facial treatments with anaesthetic and laser and some cream to take away. Walked in and seen immediately. No complaints.

Sorry to tell you Howitzer that True plans, althought they don't tell you atsignup, are LIFETIME, and even if they acknowledge any attempts at
cancellation, your plan will NEVER actually be cancelled and bills
forwarded to the mortician on your passing !
That is ridiculous nothing is Lifetime maybe min 1 year .

I had a wheel problem and took the bag to one of the luggage shops on 2nd Road. Replaced wheel in a few days and charged me 500 baht. A bit pricey but depends on the value/condition of your item.

Has anybody yet extended their retirement 'visa' without the embassy letter? If so please write a small post detailingyour experience/ what was required /accepted?
Also, have That immign issued any guidelines yet pertaining to applicants from the nations that have withdrawn the letter service?
