  1. Same question. I have an e-mail off to SiamLegal after being contacted by another Thai firm with an offer of representation.

Why would I retain a Thailand based Attorney to handle the "completion" of a divorce I filed 09 November 2010 in Bellingham, Whatcom County, Washington State, USA? (Filing:10-3-00798-9)
Why would a USA Superior Court talk with a Thailand Attorney?
Would the law enforcement agencies and the American court system uphold an agreement reached through this process?
Is there some Treaty between our countries which defines and upholds the process?
My wife is in contempt of twice Commissioner's Court ordered maintenance from November 2011 and reiterated in December 2011. There is no reason to believe that she would adhere/respect any court order or that any would be enforced.
I have fired one atty., another "quitting" and a third being suspended by WSBA and now in rehab. Is it really all that difficult?
The President of Whatcom County Bar Ass, Paula Wiz, told me at Street Law that I would never get an attorney and the divorce would never happen as long as I am out of Whatcom County. Is this arrogance or truth? I personally know her to be lacking veracity, a common attribute accurately ascribed to lawyers.

  2. NOT in any way associating myself with actively supporting anyone, not my country, not a citizen, not voting, not wanting to be any sort of influence, but I observe and am interested as an on-looker. The associations with red and people's movements and burning Constitutions and disenfranchising the people who voted in a standing government, and asserting one's self (and group) as more ethical, honest, not corrupt and proclaiming one's self as the leader/President/guardian to be ... is just so much like a totalitarian sort of take over. I almost expect to see little red books of how one group is good and the other is to be re-educated. Human nature seems to be fairly predictable and this all looks like a trading of one not so honest group for another equally dishonest group using the old "grass roots" and "party of the poor people" sort of platform to grab for power and money for themselves and their own cronies and groupies.

Honoring the Monarchy is a good tactical move. I'm told the little Prince is kind of a hip though thick sort of dude with a heavy entitlement mentality and the PDRC likes him. That sounds like an engine of progressive change as well. This is all very creepy to me.

Having been once slammed by a commercial (Orchid Hotel) van driver, I'm too occupied with watching for drivers drifting or shooting across driving lanes to be more than curious about PDRC and mentally documenting the comparisons with other political upheavals in my short lifetime. burp.gif.pagespeed.ce.RBpw6FUyRR.gif

  3. "3 lanes alternate in priority with nothing but 2 yellow lines to designate who has priority."

If not for a helmet I'd be dead three months into my now 6 month stay. I've not been impressed with drivers having any regard for lines in the roadways. Let my licensed Thai friend drive a rented car during a recent trip in country and was scared sh--less ... took over and demonstrated NOT crossing the line. Never mind.

  4. i think they are nuts, but i dont limit it to Thais i can cover all religions with the same disgust.

Ah, yes. People who ascribe to something or someone greater than themselves, I.e. a God, can find humility, sensitivity and respect for others. Atheists, agnostics, the wanderers and self-god ideologues just seem to have to be consistently the first to be hypocritical demonstrating diminished character and a constrained education. Hawking admits to being errant and Einstein had to accept the concept of an eternal creator. Why is it so hard to be nice, sir? What might the Buddha say? Maybe, oh well.

  5. Still a great question. Are there standards? Based in/upon what? Are they adhered to or loosened for the sake of being "sensitive" or "progressive" and making certain people feel good? Is money involved that pushes education standards into a secondary position? Being able to teach critical thinking, creative thinking, politics, philosophy, economics, language, communication, math/geometry & above pushes mental development far beyond the mundane. I'm interested.
