I've only been on this forum a few weeks & cannot understand why the majority live in Thailand . I've said it before here, many are very derogatory about thai females & Thailand. Some times ex pats stay too long in one country & become bitter, if you find so many things annoy you or you become bitter,it's time to leave.

Jimmu ",British owner of the house" retread news paper article, but how can you deduce from that "racism" nowhere near the meaning.
-
Terrible story, the poor little boy. I guess he and his father lived a quite life and pretty much kept to themselves. I hope English relatives come forward and offer the little guy a real chance in life.
Must have missed it somewhere! Where did it say the father was English? Racism is a funny thing: it's much closer to home than you think!

Try going some where other than a bar or massage shop to meet a girl. I've met nice Thais, obviously I'm female & don't have what some want; however I've also introduced a good thai friend (apartment manageress ) to a male Australia friend & now married where she continues with her management job. So there are nice decent girls not after your $$$$ in Thailand & Australia, you've just got to look beyond a glass/bottle of beer.

trust me she wants whatever she can get from you,its her job to get farangs does'nt matter how long it takes, the more farangs on her books the better.she has 2 she has told you about, there are more i can assure you,she bought food big deal it was money she got from other farangs, thais spend spend spend,no pompem more where that came from, once a thai girl has been with a farang she never lets go,you might come back one day and if she has;nt got someone on the go when you come she will go with you, mind you even if she has one on the go she will make some excuse to escape for a while n still go see you...they are all the same money money money, nothing else matters, they dont have feelings, only about a constant supply of money....hey if it makes you feel good talking to her ok,but dont fall for any story that requires giving her money....this is from personal exspirience and things i have heard from friends...people who have a nice thai lady good luck to them, wish i could find one, still waiting 7yrs on......

this is a show house ,not for living .
1/ black stones outside ,lol, you can cook eggs on them ,sooo hot they will be if the sun hits them.So big mistake !
2/water every where ,the muskito's will like it ,
3 /cheap swimming pool with skimmer system ,lol, why not over flow system ? Cheap Charley house .
4/"The glass roof permits generous quantities of natural Heat to come in the house ! HEAT ! very big mistake .
5/no immediate connection from the pool to the bathrooms,so you have to walk with your towel to the elevator to your room, through
your room to finally find your bathroom and dry clothes ? This architect never had a pool in his house ? In my house you can swim from every bathroom (4) directly
into the swimming pool ,mail me for pictures. [email protected]
6/ the price , this is also a big joke , let say 10 milj bht and then they make a nice profit .
So realestate people really think everybody is crazy ,lol .

Unfortunately , this protest takes precedence over flights,it curve, shudve but wasn't some where else, if I'd been there I would've been right with them. Thailand is no longer a safe place to be & the thai governing bodies over the past decade or so have themselves to blame. Putting the dollar before preserving your country only gives you one out come, this behaviour & a country full of drunken tourists who are not there to witness the culture or visit tourist spots, just drink as much as they can in the shortest possible time. This lack of governing a country has destroyed what was once the Land of Smiles.

Heyyoufarang, life no matter where you live will throw u curve balls,it's how u deal with them that makes the difference. Sounds like you've got a lot of spare time on your hands,Go volunteer,it is very rewarding, you'll meet people in far worse situations and make your "problem" seem insignificant, or if that's not your thing, join a sports club, study, you can do that online,or swap your English skills for thai language skills. Or you can just thank your lucky stars she doesn't have another "Falang" she's rushing home to. It happens more often than you think,or even her thai husband. I think you may also be lonely, how long have u lived in Thailand? Not easy in a country with a culture very different from the west. A few ideas for you.

Mother sister, cousin brother, typical in all Asian culture to describe a female relative,a little different to " sister or brother " when they're friends. As for bringing a chaperone, not so long ago (in the big picture) woman in the west did it to, nice girls always had chaperones. What I don't understand from these chat rooms is most of you I presume are in a relationship with a Thai or having relationships with them;however reading these forums many of you talk in derogatory terms about the Thais. Why stay, why not leave if you're so bitter & disgruntled

Bluespunk, corruption etc; I think just getting a government voted in will help, Thailand has lost so much money from the protesters causing havoc & creating dangerous situations . A country like this will take decades to stamp out corruption,if ever. Move forward ,have some one removed from the relevant politically party's explain to the "protesters" that this kind of action only hurts themselves in the long run. Tourism Thailands main industry has been hurt big time because of the protests, time for the force behind them to stop using the "little" people.

Steveni love,Thailand isn't the only place they plant drugs.hope you don't live in Thailand or with your naïvety your going to be caught out a lot.

As the man said, foreigners cannot own land only the house. Some one else suggested a condo or apartment, not silly advice. But most of all, check your marriage is registered in Thailand, and finally her "brother" isn't really her legal thai husband. If your marriage is not registered in Thailand you own nothing you buy. Good luck in the land of smiles with the lady of your dreams.

When I'm in Bangkok I usually have a check up,or if I'm sick visit one on the more well known hospitals in Bangkok and I must say I find their standards slipping. I don't like having my weight, temperature & personal details done in the waiting room and then to be sent to one specialist after another, then to get hit with a bill equivalent to aust. Also having to pay for numerous drugs that are completely unnecessary and not asked if I I'm on BP meds. I refused to pay for the medication except antibiotics , one of the meds he had prescribed would have affected my BP if I had high blood pressure. The hospitals need to wind back 5 years, when the service were far superior to western country's.
